This statement basically means having balls to do the right things regardless of who needs to be stepped on for you to accomplish this goal.
Let me give you an example: At some point during Ribadu's time as the chairman of EFCC, he couldn't find anything wrong with folks like Adedibu (late), OBJ, Fani Kayode, Aborishade, Odeli, Tinubu, Akala, Iyabo Obasanjo and many others. He looked other way simply because he did not have the balls to investigate these people.
Today, we do not want this type of leadership in Nigeria, we want a true leader that has the capabilities to simply clean up the house with out any hesitation. A leader that has the stamina, experience and effective strategies to get things done quickly.

FACT: A leader that has balls will solve our power supply problem in Nigeria in less than 2 years.

Jonathan as our leader  = OBJ is in-charge
Ribadu as our leader =  OBJ, El Rufai and a few others are in-charge
Duke as our leader = All big names and celebrities in Nigeria are in-charge
IBB as our leader = IBB is in-charge

If the government turns the other way, IBB will spend the rest of his life behind bars till the end of time: fact

Mr. Man, who exactly is this government?

We should continue to identify why Yaradua couldn't do much, why Jonathan can not and will not perform, why OBJ will not get off Jonathan's back, why fineboy Duke will not produce, why Ribadu will fail again and finally emphasize the importance of unity in Nigeria.

IBB is a true leader; a leader that listens, a leader who isn't scared to pull the trigger regardless of who the target is on, a leader who thinks broadly, a leader that completely understands where our problems are coming from and knows how to resolve them. A leader with enormous experience, a leader with broad strategies to empower his followers and his country, a leader with pure charisma, a leader who is ready to work day and night to make the impossible possible in Nigeria.

IBB simply has what it takes.

Making big deal out of these pictures makes absolutely no sense and a complete waste of time. Folks in Nigeria will mostly laugh at you folks.
FACT: Whether IBB becomes our next president or not, he (including his entire family) will fly on a private jet till the end of time.

In fact, the private jet in these pictures seems to be a little bit old, compare to the latest ones out there.
Don't waste your time on this topic, nothing will come out of it.
And I honestly think that the problem here is the fact that most of the posters on nairaland have been away for too long. Private jetting is absolutely no big deal in Nigeria. Please get with it.

FYI: There were 256 private jets in South Africa during the World cup, and 125 of these jets belonged to Nigerians. Please feel free to go and check the record; if you need additional information to confirm this fact, please let me know.

Backsta, I do not know where you come from or your back ground, but there is absolutely no big deal in any of these pictures. For God sake IBB was a president for 8 years, what exactly do you expect? Do you expect him and his family to be on the line trying to get into Arik air along with other passengers like you and I? Sorry, it doesn't work this way.
Let us use our common sense, a former president deserves an exclusive private life regardless of where on this planet he resides.

I'm an ordinary Nigerian who works day and night to make ends meet and I can tell you that I have been on a private jet that is much better than what is on these pictures and I also enjoy taking private vacations with my family from time to time all around the world. So, what exactly is the big deal?

Do not let us embrace bushboy mentality, these things are not big deals, especially when you happen to be a former president of one of the wealthiest and lovely African countries like Nigeria. Please let us get a life and get with it.

Even a king of a small town in Nigeria flies on a private jet.

If anything, we should all be giving bravo to IBB for being a great father, and magnificent husband that admires his family more than anything else. He is a Muslim, but still very committed to his one and only wife, and 4 children.
The last time I checked, OBJ's youngest baby is a few months old; even Ribadu has up to 3 wives.
In my book, IBB still represents a great example for all ages and an incredible leader.

Politically it might be suicidal if ACN does not present anyone for presidency thats how AD lost out in 2003. I also think a northerner will be the only appealing candidate. So the ribadu theory looks real to me. But he will definitely not win

Let us also keep in mind that IBB hasn't officially identified his party; there is a very good reason for this move. Ribadu will not and can not win.
He knows this pretty well, but he loves to be entertained, hence his followers will definitely accomplish this goal for him, but absolutely nothing more than getting the attention of his followers.

Nothing against the dude, but his leadership style will definitely destroy this nation. He gets too easily carried away, he has no wisdom, his mind is too narrow, he knows nothing about politics, he talks too damn much and he runs away when things get tough.
We need a man and absolutely not a boy to lead this great nation.

I could see Ribadu as the president of Nigeria bailing out when things get tough.

What this country needs is much bigger than Ribadu.
I can bet everything I have, Ribadu will not win. In fact, I think he knows this fact as well, but as we all know after power Ribadu also loves enormous attention more than anything else.

Why Is It That In All Civil Wars The North Wins?

Northerners need very little to survive; unlike:
A Yoruba man who wants 72" HD flat screen TV in all his 12 bedrooms, eventhough, he doesn't even know how to operate any of these TVs and hardly turn them on, but yet still wants the TVs only because his neighbor has 10.
And an Igbo man who wants to turn his 100 naira to 1B naira, eventhough he has no clue how this is going to happen in the next 100 years, but yet he's still determined to be a billionaire before the end of the year.

Do you guys really want a president that will bail out when things get tough?

Ain't you guys sick and tired of complete incompetent leaders?
Whether you like it or not, the capabilities of IBB to be an effective and efficient leader in Nigeria today can not be matched by anybody.
Please stop all these unrealistic posts; get to understand Nigeria, our system, our problems and our politicians.
Stop fooling yourselves, ignore sentiment and say good bye to leaders with ineffective efforts; there is absolutely nobody else among these candidates that has the stamina and muscle to properly tackle all our problems like IBB.

And do not insult Nigerians, do not ever compare Jonathan to IBB.

He has the experience because he has been there before, he has the unique wisdom because he's older and had a few years to clearly watch and understand what needs to be done, he has unique stamina because he is still the most respected politician in Nigeria today, he completely understands unity because he thinks broadly it's almost unbelievable, and more than anything else he has the uncompromising support of the group of the biggest fish in Nigeria; hence, accomplishing his goals effectively and efficiently as our president is very much feasible.

In a few more months it will become more clearer to Nigerians in general that nobody else can quickly take us to the promise land like our one and only incredible IBB.

He is completely focused, committed and his skin is thicker than the skin of crocodile, therefore, haters can continue to cry till the moon shines, IBB will not stop till he is elected as the number 1 man of the Rep of Nigeria.

IBB is always making sense, in fact, I have never seen someone who has so much wisdom and ability to put smile on one's face. FYI: His thinking is so broad that it's almost unbelievable.
I can assure you people that in the next few months many haters will experience a change of heart; yes, he is that magnificent.

Leadership is not for everybody; it is obvious that IBB is not only a true leader, but also a great leader.
You must continue to work hard toward accomplishing your goals regardless of what your enemies think about you.
IBB is totally focused and clearly understands what needs to be done to get his message out effectively and efficiently. He will not allow any negative statements from anyone to distract him from reaching out to the great people of Nigeria.

Zoning Or Not, Ibb’ll Be President –pdp Chieftain !

Alhaji Danladi Anyo is a die-hard loyalist of former military President, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida. He speaks on the General’s chances in the 2011 presidential elections. He spoke to CHIMAOBI UCHENDU

Chairman of non-indigenes resident in Lagos and a chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Danladi Auyo, is confident that former military President, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) will be sworn in as president in 2011.
In a chat with Daily Sun recently, Danladi said President Goodluck Jonathan will bite the dust during PDP’s primaries.
He said all the noise about incumbency will be silenced when all the sycophants deceiving him would desert him.
He said Nigerians will vote out PDP in the general elections if IBB fails to get the ticket, advising the party to be wise not to allow their ticket fall into wrong hands.

“I know how the primaries of PDP work and with the amendments which the National Assembly has put in place to avoid consensus candidates, I can bet you that President Jonathan will not win.
But in the event where the party decides otherwise, I can assure you that PDP will bite the dust during the elections.
I am equally surprised that the Group of 34 wise men, who midwifed PDP have not come out to defend the decision they took in the interest of the country.

They agreed in 1998 that the party would rotate the Presidency for stability, and if that decision is not tenable now, it would have been more honourable for them to speak up now.
These elders have exposed themselves to the larger society and they are making a mockery of an arrangement which is for the good of Nigeria. So, we are advising them to take a look at that Constitution once again, and return to the zoning arrangement.
Yes, without zoning, PDP will lose 2011 election. If you look at the people who are in PDP now, based on G34 and their followers they have interest based on that arrangement. That arrangement was why Buhari lost the 1999, 2003 and 2007 elections.
I think it is better for PDP to decide what is the best solution. I watch with dismay the activities of some governors. They are all products of zoning in their different states, but they pretend as if it never existed.
The problem facing the party is not from the north as they want us to believe. Most Nigerians from all the geo-political zones are disenchanted and this might work against them.

Look, winning elections in Nigeria goes beyond winning a party ticket to contest. Remember that we have over five registered parties and any of them can win election if they present a credible candidate.
All I am saying is that no one can lay claim to the position of president until after the election and as I see it, it will be too close to call.
IBB will not withdraw from the PDP party primaries because clearly he has the spread that can give him victory. I am so sure. If you look at his capability even after 17 years since he left office he still commands the respect of the electorate.
When we talk of freedom, there is no freedom in politics, there is no freedom in politics. There is also no security in politics; These are attributes which have characterised the polity since the present democratic dispensation.

Security has been bad. The economy has not improved. While the poor are getting poorer, the politicians are swimming in wealth.
In all these, we have to blame former President Olusegun Obasanjo for his ambition to continue to hold on to power. I think that he is doing this because Nigerians refused him Third Term. If not why will he not come out and speak on the arrangement that brought him to power.
When the G34 invited him to rule the country after he came out of prison, he was told the arrangement on ground which he agreed to. But now, he is denying it. IBB respects him as his former boss, and an elder statesman. That was why he supported him in 1998/99.
He equally supported him during his second term bid but opposed him when he came up with the idea of Third Term. I think that was where he started having other ideas about IBB.

Now, tell me, if there was no arrangement about zoning, how come Obasanjo dropped his beloved son, Peter Odili for the late Yar’Adua when his Third Term ambition crashed. We should fear God Almighty in whatever thing we set out to do in this world, because we must answer questions after our death.
On the election proper, I have the belief that the newly installed members of INEC will conduct credible elections. The people in that commission are men and women of integrity which has been tested over the years.

Attahiru Jega proved himself a tool too hard to manipulate in his days in the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
He also distinguished himself as a lecturer in Bayero University, Kano (BUK). So, I have no doubt in my mind that he will save us from tyrants who are bent on tarnishing the image of our country.
Shekarau is not well known in Nigeria. He is only known in Kano State. We need someone who is well accepted all over the country. In fact, we need someone who is mobile.

I say this because that was the same scenario that happened when the late President Yar’Adua was thrown up by Obasanjo. He was not known by Nigerians. But the North had to accept him because of the tight corner they found themselves. The North will not allow this kind of thing again, and I can bet you that IBB will change all that.
Most of our politicians are not straightforward. They say something today and change their statements the next day. We must learn to emulate the ways of the founding fathers of our great nation like Aminu Kano, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Tafawa Balewa and Obafemi Awolowo.
These men not only developed this nation, but they threw away ethnic and sectional sentiments for me and you to still say one Nigeria.
