But I must make you understand that comparing IBB to OBJ is nothing but a total disrespect. How can one effectively compare a Lion to a mere dirty and shady Hyena?
It is absolutely senseless to even attempt to do so.  And this is why:

IBB ruled this nation as a military head of state.
When you lead a nation as a military leader, you're mostly guarded by bunch of protocols that are pretty much invisible to the public.
We must also keep in Mind that 75% of the time, Military rulers are surrounded by friends, associates and enemies that could turn against them at anytime. Your neck as a military head of state is exposed and pretty much on the line 24/7. Hence, the military style of leading is systematic, weird, sometimes unfriendly and mentally combative in some cases.
In my view, it makes sense for one not to appraise a military head of state the same way a democratic elected leader is assessed.

Secondly, when OBJ took over in 1999, Nigerians for the first time were united, they were focused and willing to work together as one towards attaining common objects (anyone who clearly understands 2 or 3 things about leading a fragile nation that has multiple ethnic groups, languages, and religious groups, would admit that OBJ got a priceless gift any new president wishes for, but unfortunately he wasn't smart enough to realize it).

On the other hand, things were absolutely different when IBB took over. During this period it was mighty obvious that the opinion of most in the North and South was for the country to disintegrate, and for each region to go its way.
You need not to be surgeon to know that leading a country like Nigeria during this particular time was extremely challenging.
However, IBB was able to put together the most brilliant minds in the country and their ideas made a lot of money. In-fact, some of IBB's policies are now being reactivated.

Eventhough, he (IBB) made few mistakes just like any one of us, but I think it is clear that IBB's intentions were unblemished and very positive.

OBJ did not have any ideas nor skills to lead a supermarket. He was a bully dictator, who listened to no one but the birds. He's still responsible for all the negative forces Nigerians in general are currently experiencing daily (including Yar'Adua's administration).

This governor should step down immediately, period.

The statement is despicable and shouldn't be allowed to dissolve into the air as usual; something needs to be done.
There is nothing ridiculous than witnessing a foolish governor in action.
Unqualified greedy leaders who are killing this nation must be stopped immediately.

Reading this post, it has been officially confirmed that Gov. Obi's goal has been accomplished.

First, Gov. Fashola is my man, I truly admire his accomplishment so far and I hope he continues this kind of great job for the rest of his 4yrs.

FYI: Just because you do a great job doesn't necessarily mean you do not collect bride.

In politics (Nigerian Politics), we have 3 type of politicians:
1. Collect bribe and also make use of your common sense by doing what is right for your people and your state (this could be Fashola, or Duke).

2. Collect bribe and simply take care of your own and nothing else (this could be Kalu, or Odeli).

3. Collect bribe and simply close your eyes (this could be ibori, or Igbinedion).

It is smart to keep in mind that corruption and politics are loving brothers, who will forever be one. Therefore, Politician #1 will be around forever and ever, regardless of what EFCC or ICPC or anyone else thinks.
And to be honest, if we're lucky enough in Nigeria to reduce corrupt politicians to politician #1, I think we'll be fine.

Moreover, politician #1 is very common in United states and other developed countries around the world.
I personally do not have that much problem with politician #1, because it is only logical to understand that corruption in politics can be reduced, but can not be separated.

Back to the topic:
After all he went through to be elected as the governor, I think Gov. Obi is a big fool to boldly open his mouth without any use of common sense.
He should step down immediately.

As a president, this man (Gov. Obi) would be a perfect scapegoat for me to send an effective message to the rest and the wanna be politicians.

There is no need to waste time or money, the man himself has admitted to the offence. Therefore, I see nothing left, but to immediately sacrifice his head for the propitiation of the gods, so that Nigeria could be elevated from the dust.

In-fact, for him to boldly come out to make this statement says a lot about our weak constitution, the level of retardation of our leaders and the uncivilized state of mind of the citizens.
This man should be arrested immediately.

I honestly feel that the selection of a replacement should be purely based on qualifications and absolutely, not because you come from my mother's village or based on how many times you're able to kiss my ass per minute.

Yar'Adua is my man and Madueke also seems to be OK , but this situation wasn't handled appropriately.
We must note that Ambassador Oluwole is a diplomatic official of the highest rank that represents Nigeria in United States.
An administration shouldn't allow personal conflict between 2 federal government officials to compromise our national sovereignty.
From the presented information, it would have been better to invite Oluwole back home immediately and attempt to iron things out between the 2.
In my view, I do not think it's proper to sack one based on the information given by the other one.

And absolutely, we need not to expose our dirty laundry to the world.
Nigerian leaders should recognize the fact that they are all representing a country and not their individual villages.

You should go and discuss topics like  executing guilty corrupt citizens or government officials, with politicians and you'll see how quick their bloodstream petrifies.

FYI:What you're proposing is already in place for more than 8 yrs, but our system/ constitution is too damn weak to effectively empower the assets declaration process that's currently in place.
