If you honestly know IBB and also understand 1 or 2 things about Nigeria and Politics, then you will realize that nigeria has lost the greatest opportunity to finally get it right when IBB discarded his presidential ambition.I'm ready to make this statement any time, any day, and any where. You might not clearly understand the root of this statement, but those who do, understand the content and also know where is coming from. It isn't an ordinary statement, my friend! |
Big B1, are you becomerich, nigeria1 in disguise?I am which ever one of them that is good looking. ![]() |
Former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, on Wednesday foreclosed a possibility of his return to rule the country.Furthermore, if you understand politics then you will also realize that this statement by IBB says a lot (VP Joe Biden made a very similar statement when he was asked few months ago whether he was joining Obama or not). Hence, I wouldn't count IBB out just yet. Moreover, in my country, 95% of the time, the destiny of the next president or potential president is solely determined by the current president. Let's see what happens, "our wish might just come true". |
http://www.ngex.com/cgi-bin/frame/frameit2.plx?link="http://www.tribune.com.ng"If you honestly know IBB and also understand 1 or 2 things about Nigeria and Politics, then you will realize that nigeria has lost the greatest opportunity to finally get it right when IBB discarded his presidential ambition. Let's see how long you folks are willing to stay in darkness; there is no rush, politicians are ready to place you guys on a very long ride, while they enrich and empower their families and friends. |
@meexteriox: A beg, slow down. This is nothing but a mere discussion. You don't expect all of us to sleep and face the same direction. It is absolutely fine to see the same thing differently. This is what makes up a great nation. IBB is a quiet man and mostly operates in the back room; this is why this man is being painted with black images. I believe lately he has realized this weakness and this is one of the reasons why he continues to release this kind of information. We shouldn't beat a man down just because he prefers to be quiet. The man is not perfect, but remains one of the most serious, sincere and honest men around in nigeria today. |
May God bless Nigeria and everyone of us. |
this guy is quite dull o; imagine the excuse he could come up with after 15 years of thinking.IBB, absolutely not a perfect man. When you're dealing with sensitive issue in a country as big as Nigeria with multiple culture, multiple ethnic groups and religion, one must be very prudent and effectively calculate when to release certain information. Imagine IBB releasing this information sometimes in July 1998; what do you think would have happened "to Nigeria", I repeat "to nigeria"? |
while i, like most Nigerians have castigated ibb and co for the annulment of the election,i think he has made very good points,as coups are essentially the handy work of disgruntled military personell,if there was that much hostility and resistance to abiola being president(i guess due to his antecedents and baggage he would have carried over)then there is a good chance that the likes of david mark and co could and probably would have simply taken over through another coup@lucabrasi You have an excellent point. It doesn't make sense to follow through with something that clearly indicates future failure. I think IBB knew for sure that sooner or later, Abiola's administration was going to be brought down. So, Annulment of the election was supposed to be a strategy to avoid an unwanted catastrophe. I honestly feel that IBB thought he was doing what is right at the time. In-fact, the annulment should be labelled as a strategic vision. A strategic vision works effectively sometimes, but also doesn't work well in some cases; I guess, this is why it is called strategic vision. An accurate prediction or vision could only be determined by God. Nigerians should also look at the other side of the coin before making any judgement. |
Some of us have more than 6999 posts on this forum with absolutely nothing contributed towards re-building this nation. May be writing a book on "what I could have done for my country" isn't a bad idea. |
Most nigerians see nigeria as enterprise to make money from and NOT a country to build and serve because there is no feeling of nationhood amongst its peopleAbsolutely, a profound statement. |
Fact: Too bad, Nigerian leaders for the next 20 years have already been picked and ready. The question is; are these leaders competent enough? do they care about the people and the country? Running away from your country and spending 10 hours a day on a forum can never have any effect on what goes on in Nigeria. What are you doing to make Nigeria a better country? |
What Will You Say Is Nigeria's Problem@topic: 1. Weak consistution 2. Existence of incompetent leaders 3. Lack of self-respect among Nigerians in general 4. Worshipping of fake heroes 5. Lack of common sense among well educated Nigerians 6. Existence of 98% coward among the entire Nigerian citizens. Running away from your country doesn't solve your problems. Typing garbage on nairaland 10 hours a day doesn't solve any of your problems. Castigating your country daily (24/7) doesn't solve any problem. And absolutely throwing little rocks far away from home doesn't solve any problem or have any effect. A good sample of reasons why Nigeria is on her knees today resides here on this forum. We talk, talk and talk every single day with absolutely nothing tangible to contribute at the end of the day. It has been confirmed that Nigerians away from home can now participate in presidential elections, and many of us are greatly pleased to receive this news. How stupid could you be? The votes of Nigerians that live in Nigeria haven't counted for over 25 years; how the hell do you think your votes as "Nigerians in Diaspora" would count? It just turns us on to be taken for a ride, all the time! |
Abdulsalami was reportedly to have said: “I can’t sit with that man. I can’t drink in his house. I don’t want to have anything to do with him.”I guess, it is true that one man's garbage happens to be the other man's treasure. Sunday Ehindero will eat and drink with OBJ at any time and any day. It is an everlasting ass kissing deal! |
FACT: If Ribadu or El-Rufai comes out today to face all these unanswered questions, one thing is for sure, Former IG, Sunday Ehindero and many other thieves would be arrested immediately. Hence, there is a good reason why these 2 fruit-cakes are busy shading away from being exposed. The name of this strategy is called Waiting and Hoping. 1. They are killing time hoping that something bad would happen to President Yar'Adua. 2. They are hiding and hoping that President Yar'Adua would step down soon. 3. They are making up excuses and hoping that the 4yrs term would end soon. 4. They are buying time while their messengers are busy running around Abuja begging and doing whatever it takes to persuade few big-wigs to step in. I believe the next court day is scheduled to take place in March this year. Let us all hope for the best. |
My friends and enemies, please access this link https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-102438.0.html and take your time to carefully study all our comments. Who is fooling who would become clearer to everyone of us. |
@golah God is good, I'm very fine, but very busy. I hope all is well with you. |
My recommendation is "bring IBB back now", and this is why: 1.The man obviously isn't scared of anyone, hence making tough decision is automatically simple for him. 2.The man is tough and 99% of Nigerian politicians have nothing but a complete respect for him, hence he will not take rubbish from anyone. 3.He has more to lose if things are not back to normal within a very short period, hence he would work extremely hard, which in return would also motivate others. 4.He's very smart, may be the smartest politician around today, hence things would be done systematically and other would also be challenged to make things happen positively in all areas. 5. He has experience and he's full of muscle, he wouldn't settle for less in all areas, PDP and others would also get themselves together quickly. Nigeria at this point can not be ruled by a gentleman, may be in 10 years, but for now we need an experienced leader with great wisdom and full of muscle; or else we shall continue to make the same noise for the next 50 years. Trust me, real politicians know this fact. |
The First ,Yar'Adua goes on vacation and Luckboy takes over. One way or the other, the invisible bodies would rap Luckboy around some kind of allegation, which would then lead to an impeachment process. After a successful implementation of an impeachment is completed, Yar'Adua steps aside to allow David Mark to take over and warm the sit till the guru himself returns. Nigeria and Nigerians are desperate, we need someone who knows one or two things about leading effectively to take over the ship. The ship is sinking, this isn't the time to point fingers, we need this country to move forward and start rubbing shoulders with others once again. We do not have electric power supply in Nigeria for 90% of the time, how the hell do you expect this country to compete effectively and efficiently with others? I don't care how much we make from oil per month, we need a leader that has the experience, well respected, full of stamina and extremely charismatic to take control, NOW! Any recommendation? |
Waste no more time and money, bring IBB back and witness wonder. I think this is where we are heading, just mark it down. |
Don't be stupid! Don't you know that the destiny of the next president relies on the current president? We've been informed many times by IBB, himself that Yaradua is like a brother to him. Does it make sense for one brother to pull the other one up? Mark it down with a permanent marker "the possibility of the next president of Nigeria to be IBB is greater than ever". He's bright, he has the stamina, the respect and the wisdom to quickly turn thing around positively. Time will tell. |
IBB still the most competent leader/ politician this country has ever produced. Real politicians understand what IBB is able to bring to the table on a regular. IBB has been gone for more than 10 years, and what have they done for you lately, Nigerians? I hope it wouldn't take us too long to realize and understand that all Nigerian politicians IBB not a saint, but at this point, I find it very difficult to identify another entity that has the stamina, brain and skill to quickly elevate Nigeria from the dust. Yes, some have brain, but no stamina; while others have skill, but no brain. Politics and corruption are twin brothers that are very much in-love. Enough is enough, the game must be stopped; corruption isn't going anywhere, but if we are lucky enough to elect an entity that has the capability to reduce corruption in all areas and produce effectively and efficiently, I think Nigeria will be OK. Something tells me that IBB isn't done yet; well, we shall all see what happens. Latest/ confirmed closet corrupt Nigerians: 1. Ribadu 2. Oladimeji Bankole 3. El-Rufai 4. Fani Kayode 5. Sunday Ehindero and many more. May God bless Nigeria. |
Blacksta: Love is blind. I love you with all my heart. Go ahead and have yourself an incredible holiday. |
Guys, go ahead and bash Big B1 if it makes you feel better. Happy New Year. I'm out! |
It's not a crusade of foolishness. Nigerians all over are hurting because of the evils of one man. The youths have no future, no hope because somebody decided to cart their future away. Can't you see their frustration? You honestly think that the youths have no future only because of IBB? |
Nigerians in general are responsible for the downfall of this nation. And till we all wake up to realize this fact, nothing will change. Again, shame on you blackmonkey for not thinking before posting this rubbish. If you want to bash IBB, then go ahead and do so, but do not come here posting pictures and making up stories. I wonder how long it would take you to post the pictures of the rest, including the picture of your village. ButtHead! |
This is reality of life. You can't have it all and there is no such thing called perfect life. Just praise and thank God for everything. Someone wants your shoes, no matter how bad or ugly they may look! |
I'm not defending IBB, I've only asked the poster to be more sensible with his baseless information. Stupid information creates stupidity. If you have something against IBB, go ahead like a man and attack him fairly. But for you to come here posting pictures of former president's family traveling on a private jet is ridiculous. Any reasonable person would know that once you become a president, it changes your family's life forever. FYI: These folks prefer to travel like normal people, but the reality of life doesn't permit such wish. In United States, former presidents do not only travel on a private jet if they wish, the CEOs and their families also do the same on a regular. It is normal and absolutely not a big deal. Yes, Tony Blair while in office traveled on British Airway, this was by choice, he did not have to do so. And please keep in mind that UK isn't Nigeria. I wouldn't allow my family on a Bellview Airline, and I'm not a former president. Do not let us follow with our eyes closed, let us think a little deeper before joining the crusade of foolishness. Again, I'm not here to paint IBB as a saint or a devil, I do not have the position to judge others. But for those of us (the perfect human beings among us) that have this position, please make use of common sense appropriately during the process of judging others. |
debosky: you've been wrong for many years and you're still very wrong today; I think it's time for you to jump into the sea. You wouldn't be missed that much. |
Davidylan, have yourself a wonderful New Year! |
@poster: you should be ashame of yourself. Good or bad, do not let us forget that IBB is a former president of this country; what exactly do you expect? Do you expect them to fly on Bellview airline? Do you know anything about being the former president of a country? Who told you that the jet belongs to IBB? Could you prove it? What exactly do you know about this location and the purpose of their visit? Do you honestly think IBB needs to spend Kobo out of his pocket to live this type of life style? Come on my man, wake up. My friend, you could go to Ghana, Togo, United State, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Rep of Ben, Jamaica, Japan, France, South Africa, Yemen, Israel, Kuwait and many other countries around the world; it is absolutely not a big deal for a former president's family to travel on a private jet; in fact, that's how it should be. I'm not calling IBB a saint or a devil, but do not let us be foolish; If your goal is to sabotage IBB, you need something better than what you've posted. Hey, I miss you guys and I wish you all a wonderful New Year. One love! |

@Mikeansy: If it makes you feel better, I will leave my logon profile active for the rest of the weekend. @Creative: Please, log back on and make this clown look stupid like his role model (Ribadu) Again @Mikeansy:Now that you've brought me back from retirement, I hope the rest of the year will be brighter for you. |
