Troopergate panel: Palin abused power

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A legislative committee investigating Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has found she unlawfully abused her authority in firing the state's public safety commissioner.

The investigative report concludes that a family grudge wasn't the sole reason for firing Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan but says it likely was a contributing factor.

The Republican vice presidential nominee has been accused of firing a commissioner to settle a family dispute. Palin supporters have called the investigation politically motivated.

Monegan says he was dismissed as retribution for resisting pressure to fire a state trooper involved in a bitter divorce with the governor's sister. Palin says Monegan was fired as part of a legitimate budget dispute.

This is sad; very very sad indeed!

Adenuga Denies Bidding for Newcastle

The Chairman of Glob-acom Limited, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr., has denied any link with a Nigerian consortium bidding for the take-over of English Premier League side, Newcastle United.
Adenuga said he had never at any time discussed nor met with any agent linked with the club.
A statement from Ade-nuga’s office described as false recent reports linking his name and business to the said transaction and warned that the public should discountenance the reports.
According to the statement, “the report linking the name and business of Dr. Mike Adenuga to the proposed take-over of Newcastle United is patently false and misleading. Dr. Adenuga is not part of any consortium bidding for Newcastle and he has never met any agent or group concerning the said take-over.”
The statement said for the avoidance of doubt, Adenuga was at present committed to raising the stature of African football and that explains his deep involvement in the sponsorship of the annual Glo-CAF Awards and readiness to sponsor other football events on the continent.

It also pointed out that Adenuga’s passion for African football had manifested in the sponsorship of the game in West Africa, noting that, “he will continue to support all agencies and stakeholders to ensure the continued development and promotion of the game across all levels on the continent”.

I know I was not the only one that heard McCain call Obama "That Man".

"That man" would have been better, but the little hornless bull (McCain) called Obama "That one".
It was so pitiful, at one point I started to feel so bad for McCain. He's absolutely out of touch and represents an obsolete product.

When I look at Obama, I see iPod, but when I look at McCain, I only see a defective 8 track cartridge player.
Seriously, I think America deserves something current, promising and stable; it is obvious to all that McCain is opposite to all these things.

Solution:
You don't have to wait to lose your house (in Europe/ USA) or get in trouble to return back home (Nigeria). It is clever to make this move when you're still hot, or else we will continue to make the same noise for a very long time.

Our education, skill, knowledge, wisdom etc are needed in Nigeria more than anywhere else. Hence, if you have the capacity and heart, I say return home with full force and make things happen.

It is what it is! Nigeria will be ruled by the same families and friends for many years  to come. And this is why:

Reason:
1. The politicians mostly send all their children to great schools (either in Europe or USA). And 95% of the time, these kids return back home to compete with Mr no-name (who also happens to attend one of the defective universities in Nigeria). As we all know, the competition between politician's son and Mr no-name is like Mike Tyson at his prime fighting a drunk blind boxer.
What do you think the outcome will be?

2. The (educated) ones (Nigerians) that were lucky enough to escape out of the country mostly do not return (at least 95% of the time). The ones that do return only do so because they got in trouble or just hopelessly broke and suffering. I call this group "the injured Nigerians"
Most of the time, this group (the injured Nigerians) doesn't have the full stamina and confidence to effectively mingle with the rest when they return back home. Therefore, when they return they usually settle in one corner and flow with the system.

3. Finally, our retarded system and defective culture also make things very difficult. The last time I checked, if you don't have big name or know someone with big name or don't have money or don't know someone that has money; you're finished and absolutely represent Mr. nobody.

So, for now, we will all continue to witness politicians' children (families and friends) picking things up from where their parents (folks) left things.

I'm sorry, but this is the way it is and may be so for a long time.

Obama's team would either systematically denounce Kenya's action (for the sake of Americanism) or indirectly, but totally detach themselves from the whole episode.

Kenya deporting US author of anti-Obama book

NAIROBI, Kenya - The American author of a best-selling book attacking Barack Obama as unfit for the presidency was being deported from Kenya on Tuesday, a criminal investigations official said.

Jerome Corsi, who wrote "The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality," was picked up by police Tuesday for not having a work permit, said Carlos Maluta, a senior immigration official in charge of investigations.

He was briefly detained at immigration headquarters before being brought to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for deportation, said Joseph Mumira, head of criminal investigations at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

It was not immediately clear when he would fly out. A message left on Corsi's mobile phone was not returned.

Obama spokesman Bill Burton said the campaign had no comment.

Corsi had been scheduled to launch his book Tuesday in Kenya, where the Democratic U.S. presidential candidate is wildly popular. Obama's late father, whom he barely knew, was a Kenyan economist and the candidate is considered by many Kenyans as a native son. Minibuses are emblazoned with his picture and vendors sell T-shirts bearing his image.

Obama was born in Hawaii, where he spent most of his childhood raised by his mother, a white American from Kansas.

Corsi's book claims the Illinois senator is a dangerous, radical candidate for president and includes innuendoes and false rumors — that he was raised a Muslim and attended a radical black church.

Obama is a Christian who attended Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, and his campaign picks apart the book's claims on the Obama campaign's rumor-fighting Web site, FightTheSmears.com.

According to a statement announcing Corsi's visit, he arrived last week at the invitation of Christian missionaries concerned about the rise of Islam. Corsi was planning to file daily dispatches all week, the statement said.

Obama's Kenyan uncle, Said Obama, said he was unaware of Corsi's detention and had no comment. A government spokesman did not return calls for comment.

I was out there this past Saturday for few hours volunteering for Obama, and I was surprised to discover how many white folks were also out there doing the same thing. I just couldn't believe it.

I also saw few brothers and sisters holding it down for Barack, but absolutely not as many as white folks. I guess this is to reinforce that this Obama movement is simply way bigger than just white or black thing. I think Americans are smarter than yesterday and are willing to do what it takes to restore the enormous stamina of this great nation. And I must admit that I'm very proud to be part of it.

My point: It's OK not to love Obama.

[b]The story is all over Progressive Talk Radio today about the MCain campaign sending absentee ballot applications to registered democrats or people that have donated to Obama's camapign. 

These ballots are dilberately misleading and have postage paid return addresses that are for an election clerk that is outside of your city or town.   What this will end up doing is either having your vote not counted, or if you return one of these, they will cite you for election fraud, saying that you already voted absentee.

These ballots are only being sent out in 'purple states' and this is a big deal,  This is called voter caging, and is a huge problem.
The McCain campaign is stealing this election as we speak.

Please get this information out to as many people as you can ,and tell anyone you know who has received one of these ballots that they need to contact their city election clerk or the supervisor of elections immediately.  Also call the local media and let them know what is going on.   
The main stream media is never going to cover this so we have to depend on our ground campaign to get the word out to our voters[/b]

The primary election with Hillary Clinton represents one of the best things that has happened to Obama.

Hillary's unique negative action against Obama during the primary election has indirectly created a road block for McCain's campaign; making it very challenging for them to connect with the voters (even with their several TV negative commercials).
Americans have heard most of these negative attacks in the past, hence, bringing them back this time around makes McCain looks like "absolutely, more of the past".

I think Obama has the upper hand over McCain if he could just simply maintain and stay focused for the next few days.

We must also keep in mind that, the opera ain't over until the fat lady sings; Obama's camp must be extremely prudent with every single step they take from now on till Nov 03 2008.
