1. Every administration has areas of improvement. There is no perfect administration. Security is a collective responsibility of us all.
2. The entire sahel region is facing insurgency not just Nigeria; a lot of the instability in the sahel appear to be caused by France and perhaps even the UK. Nigeria needs an experienced leader that can withstand bullying/interference from France and the UK. A retired general will also be able to fight off insurgency and preserve peace; they are experienced in combat.
3. Buhari being a retired general has been able to deal with numerous insurgencies and provocations and has been able to avoid war.
4. He has also done well to preserve food security which is often taken for granted.

Nigerians need to peacefully engage with their government and Governors and work out a security framework.

We could have had it worse. Central African Republic is in a 10 year civil war.

France has 5000 troops in Mali currently. The goal isn't to fight insurgents. The goal is to assert French control over Mali and keep Malian people subjugated.

The overthrown malian government is aligned with France who oppressed the Malians. The new government is sympathetic with Russia and it's hoped the alliance with Russia will break Malians free from France's evil influence.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau described the discovery as heartbreaking on Friday.

“The news that remains were found at the former Kamloops residential school breaks my heart,” he wrote on Twitter. “It is a painful reminder of that dark and shameful chapter of our country’s history. I am thinking about everyone affected by this distressing news. We are here for you.”
