Foookaaa: Are you stupid? The oyibo man says the black man can't rule himself even though we did so before they came along and you are agreeing with him. I think the problem comes from us. We don't hold these vagabonds in power accountable enough. We parrot their lies, participate in ethno-religious strife and allow the selfish leaders to rob us blind. Why won't we fall into civil war? The same dynamic happens in oyibo land where the poor white men blame their financial woes on people of color and vote in demagogues. No before the coming of the white man Nigerians were killing twins, and sold themselves as slaves, had no trains or mirrors and couldn't govern themselves.... the inability of Nigeria to govern itself has festered even up to these times.... |

Ikengawo: lol but look at the Nigerian thought pattern and education system that came from the missionart schools lol. Im explaining to you what a colony is and this isnt something i would debate with someone in England that doesnt have missionart schools because its basic understanding for a reasoning person.
Missionary schools were built to produce people who will eventually want to buy british goods. It was a giant commercial for british made goods. Part of that commerical was telling you that everything about you was inferior and devilish and the more western goods you own the more valuable you are as a person.
So you put an entire country under this system and youre surprised that it produces leaders that would steal government budgets to have a foriegn watch.
But as someone with a colonial education you arent able to make that connection and I, without that curse, can easily see it as can everyone not living in Africa.
There are basic normal aspects of human thought that are beaten out of a pwrson through this system.
If you dont believe me, look around you. Do you think what was being taught at mission schools was designed to make nigeria better? or nigerians better?
You might because, again, your education system is actually trauma indoctrination thats supposed to shatter your self esteem and ability to see good in yourself. Once you leave Nigeria and embark on actual learning you'll see what happened to you. So which school systems hv Nigerians built?? Nigerians love playing victim..... |

Ikengawo: I agree, but when you frame it at benevolent or even an act of development it wasnt. It didnt enrich nigerians, it wasnt supposed to and was specifically designed to do the opposite.
If i build a tunnel to your bedroom thats specifically there to take your belongings you cannot frame the tunnel as me providing you with a means of getting to work even if youve used it to go to work.
then if you factor the 1000s of people that were being killed to maintain the theft, you have to wonder.
Right now Shell facilities in Nigeria have 24/7 power. But as a fact Shell is in Nigeria for the sake of stealing. they pay next to no tax, avoid hiring nigerians, avoid audits, destroy the environment, and send all their earnings to europe.
We can say 'shell built xyz' as a fact but to say they built xyz to develop nigeria etc is false @ the bolded - were the blacks so dumb that they couldn't defend themselves against being killed in the 1000s?? They couldn't go to Europe to colonize Europeans - just love complaining |

As far as resources goes - it was trade.... so let's quit all these - "they exploited us", "They invaded us".... just excuses How many missionary schools has Nigeria built overseas?? |

Ikengawo: You have to try to recover from your self hate. Its a byproduct of low exposure. Otherwise you're useless to everyone
This isnt true. Schools served a very small portion of the population. So of course a school system that onky serves 1% of the population will seem nice. The british built 1 university to serve the whole of Nigeria (Ife) and 90% of its cirriculum and facilities were developed after. Literacy was less than 20% nation wide with even less populatiom than today and life expectancy was exceptionally low
rail did not serve Nigerians but rather extraction of nigerian minerals to england. Once this dynamic was possible the fell to disuse.
Not to mention the thousands of people killed by the british (Enugu Coal strike, Aba womens war, Ekumeku etc)..They kept record of how many ppl they killed a year and if you want to see i can present. All by the working policw you cited.
Being nostalgic about the past, either to glorify Africa or to glorify whites, is never based on a comprehensive understanding. You mention rail - it doesn't matter the purpose for which it was built.... what matters is that it was built. Nigeria has had all those resources for the centuries before the British came - why didn't they extract their resources and build their own rail before the arrival of the British?? It actually suggests laziness on the part of blacks and as we speak it's China building Nigeria's rail so nothing has changed! |

kilonshele101: that is a problem out of many, plus the fact that you can't drive the car outside lagos.
but for lagos, though wealth is not evenly distributed but people way fit afford to buy more than an electric car dey. if those people can buy it, they should. that's something.
besides , no be lagos state government dey produce the car. na private enterprise. Bugatti is not meant for everyone, they are only producing for the few that can afford it. if Bugatti as a private enterprise is still in business, why should electric car be out of business.
Lagos is only partnering with some org to create charging points so that the market can be favorable for electric cars so that those that can afford the car can use it. the more the car is still in business even if only few people that are using it the more tax to be paid by electric car producer to lagos government. so why is it a misplaced priority and to who?? economics102
the fact that we and our friends can't afford something doesn't mean it's worthless. in Nigeria 99% can't afford a private jet but there are hangers across the country for the 1%. sometimes you need to stop perceiving things poverty mentality Those that can afford it are soon robbed of it.... b4 buying wealthy man stuff u need to check ur safety by checking ur environment. Driving bugatti in a neighbourhood of only okadas isn't safe.... lagos is still mostly poor. It's not poverty mentality it's wisdom.... |

kilonshele101: please read the post again.
don't you see where he said charging points will be created across the city.
meaning even if you don't have light and you can't afford to buy a generator. you can always go to the charging point where there's going to be constant light to charge.
of course people are going to be paying but it will reduce the over dependent on oil price by motorists.
even if you're going to be using generator, instead of buying fuel for both your car and gen. you will only be buying for generator. then use your generator to charge your car and for other things.
this will lead to relatively decrease in demand for petrol which will force the market to reduce the Price.
economics101
sometimes always try to look at the big picture..playing devil's advocate all the time won't do any good It's misplaced priority because the spending power isn't there among the populace.... disposable income is low.. ..how many ppl can buy tokunbo cars talkless of electric.... |

Rossnitti: You can't even articulate yourself properly, or be coherent, yet you're calling others "unintelligent". I've no idea what you're saying. Being at the receiving end of another race's vandalism does not necessarily signify unintelligence. The west has vandalized the entire world, not just Africa. It signifies THEIR unintelligence to imagine the unequal world they've created is tenable or viable in the long run. The inherent contradictions and pressures of an unequal earth will eventually consume them, in various forms, from terrorism to mass immigration to the west etc etc. You are obviously mentally sick... it's evident from all your excuse generation and blame shifting.... the black man goes to Europe and through it's inferior culture seeks to turn Europe and America into Africa.... The era of blaming Europe and America for your failures is over..... The glaring facts are there to see. Liberia and Ethiopia were never colonized but they are just as much shitholes as the rest of Africa; so this renders your blame game invalid, null, void and of no effect. |

Simple common sense which is beyond you because you're a low IQ dunce with the intelligence of a gnat. All the missionary schools were your elites went to in Nigeria, who built them.
Go and read history of Nigeria. The British export some resources from Nigeria and also built some solid infrastructures that got mismanaged when Nigerians took over. the question we are trying to solve is - why is it that once nigerians take over the running of anything, it goes down.... another example, the Abuja train was built by the chinese with a 3 year period where the chinese are to run the rail in abuja. I think they have handed it over to nigeria now. now i can bet you that within the next 10 years the abuja rail system will stop working - trains arriving and leaving late, train driver toasting female passengers, tickets being sold to the highest bidder, tickets being sold to politicians first etc... |

Rossnitti: Your problem is that you are unintelligent, and yet you're discussing issues that require intelligence. You also have a slave mentality that prevents you from addressing issues fairly and without racial bias. In this case, our national football team's welfare and development was the responsibility of the leaders in the 1950s, who were British. The team played barefooted. Who should you blame for that? THE LEADERS, IE THE BRITISH. Just as if today, you hear that the Super Eagles have no jerseys and have to sew theirs, or wear t-shirts to play matches, who will you blame? The leaders of the country! Now that is basic common sense which eludes you because you have a hatred for blacks which makes you blame them for any and everything, to the point of your being senseless and dumb. no it is not the responsibility of the british to give you boots... you should use your intellect to manufacture boots. the nigerians should manufacture boots and stop this blame game which really is a sign of low iq. even the british colonization of nigeria suggests nigerians are inferior because if they were not the british would not have succeeded. the british were superior. You can blame the british all you want and day and night but that does not change the fact that all black majority nations are shitholes and that nigerians are always looking to migrate to white mans land... the thing is once nigerians are caught with raw professional facts they start appealing to emotion and personal attacks @ the bolded. |

So, what did the British do with all this huge palm oil income they supposedly made?
Why was Nigeria a bush with not a single power plant when they left?
That's what you should be asking if you had a working brain in your head.
You were "top palm oil producer" yet your national soccer team toured England in the late 1950s and insisted on playing their matches BAREFOOTED because they'd never set eyes on football boots, courtesy of British neglect and looting.
Slave mentality afflicted donkey. do you see yourself? You are waiting on the british to give you boots just the same way you waited for them to give you bricks before you left your mud huts. Rossnitti: REASONS FOR THE RISE OF AFRICA - IMPROVING QUALITY OF LEADERSHIP
''Since the beginning of 2015, Africa has experienced more than 27 leadership changes, highlighting the continent-wide push for greater accountability and democracy. Countries like Mauritius, Botswana, Cape Verde, Namibia, and Ghana rank relatively high as politically stable, democratic countries. These countries, as well as other rising democracies across Africa, serve as encouragement to international partners that stability can be achieved throughout the continent.
Across Africa, governance has improved considerably since 2000. Thirty-four countries, home to 72 percent of Africa’s citizens, have improved their governance performance over the last 10 years, and significant improvements have been seen in participation, rule of law, and rights, among other categories. Over the past five years, many countries have also shown improvements in transparency and accountability.''
