Careful as your gear Oil needs attention, Probably you get to change the Gear Oil, as its in a dangerous mode having it blinking. I use to have my Honda Oddysea Gear "D4" blinks and my Mechanic told me that i might have ended up buying another gear, if i had not serviced the Gear, saying that the Gear oil has turned light and should've been changed.
That's kinda scary, mine is even off totaly for the past 3mths but it's still driving fine. undecided
CrimeOtokoto Again In Imo! Girl, 18, Beheaded For Rituals ! by bigfather(op): 4:50pm On Aug 19, 2009
Residents of Owerri were Wednesday morning treated to a morbid spectacle as the police command paraded four suspects and the decomposing head of an 18-year old Chinwe Doris Perpetua Obieri, who was murdered for ritual purposes.
The bizarre scene, which was a replica of the infamous Otokoto saga of September 1996, had the prime suspect, 24-year old Emeka Uwakwe, from Ndiakunwata, Arondizuogu, Ideato North local government area of the state, clutching the decapitated head of his girl friend, Chinwe.

Speaking to newsmen, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Aloy Okorie, gave the names of the other suspects as Chigamezu Anyaoha from Orodo, Mbaitoli local council area, Anthony Obioha from Lude, Ahiazu Mbaise local government area, and the medicine man, Damian Joseph from Obot Akara, Akwa Ibom State.
Mr. Okorie gave a graphic account of how the sordid crime was committed and the efforts made by the state police command to apprehend the suspects in far away Lagos State. Excerpts:
“You can see we have a case of murder for ritual murder. What happened was that on Sunday, July 26, 2009, the young lady whose head you are seeing (pointing at the decapitated head of Chinwe) left her Akokwa home, Ideato North local government area of Imo State. You can see the head without the body.
“The young man, Emeka Uwakwe, is the boy friend of this girl and he came all the way from Lagos and lured her to his house in the village. He murdered the girl, cut off her head for ritual purpose and dumped the headless body in a bush. Apparently, the girl had told her parents that she was going to visit her maternal uncle in another village.
“As at 7.04pm on that same Sunday, she called her parents and informed them she was already in her maternal uncle’s compound and they believed her. Later, her parents made a call to her and the call was not pulling through up till the next morning and by Monday when it was obvious that she was not coming back, they made a report to the police that their daughter was missing.
“The names of the parents are Mr. Nicholas and Mrs. Theresa Obieri from Umuezeala, Umueziama Kindred in Akokwa. It was after they made the report to the police that some vigilante people on the same date, came around and said they saw a headless body in the bush. The police invited the girl’s parents and they identified the headless body to be that of their daughter.
“It was at that point that the police swung into action and started making investigations. From information, we got to know that she had a boy friend who is resident in Lagos and who was seen around home within that period. So, we went to Lagos and we were able to arrest Emeka Uwakwe. You can see him now with the head of the slain girl (pointing at Emeka).
“When we now got him, he made a confession that Mr. Damian Joseph of Obot Akara in Akwa Ibom State, though he is based in Lagos also, was the one who made the charm with which, if he got the head of this girl, mix it with the charm and bury it, money will start flowing, he will start plucking money as if he was plucking fruits from the tree. That was exactly what the man did. He (Emeka) got the concoction, mixed it with the head and buried it in his room.
“We also went for the Native Doctor and got him. Meanwhile, Emeka made a confession too that it was his friends, Chigaemezu Anyaoha and Anthony Obioha, that introduced him to the Native Doctor and that he was capable of making medicine for money. They also confirmed that they had done such a medicine before with human scrotum. We do not know whether it their own scrotum or other people’s scrotum. We will surely find out in due.
“You can see the pretty 18-year old girl (displaying her photograph). I am sure if you had seen this girl when she was alive, you will weep. You will certainly weep because I have never seen a thing like that in my life. I just imagine my own daughter of that age being slaughtered for ritual purposes.
“Well, in an era where we talking about people going to live in the moon, that is the age we are in, 21st century, and people are still being fooled that they can use human head to make money. It is very unfortunate.
“Emeka Uwakwe was arrested on Wednesday last week (August 12, 2009) and when he gave us the information on how he got about the whole show, our men left for Lagos on Sunday and we were able to arrest both the Native Doctor and the other two boys. The next line of action is that they will pay the price prescribed by the laws of the land. We all know the price for somebody who has committed murder. He will pay with his own life. There is no duplicate for life. If he had the courage to kill somebody, he should also be prepared to face the consequence. He should be in a position to say if he killed her with a knife or first strangulated her before he cut off the neck.
“It is very clear that the girl deceived her parents. My advice is simple. I have a daughter of that age. I know how we monitor her. Most times, especially in this era, if she has to go out, we must let go with somebody because you never can tell. That age is a critical period in the training of children. Parents should monitor their daughters closely. It is easy to make contacts in this GSM era. I am sure that if the parents had raised alarm that very night they did not see her, may be things would have come out differently.

@Poster,
That is the new method presumed by the Nigerian Customs now. They would tell you that the amount you pay into the bank is too small. you know the message i give to them and i expect you to give to them. Are you the Custom Officers that accepted it there and issued you your paper. As long as your paper is Embosed and signed to be released. Don't let those custom extort you, but one has no option than to give out OFficer on Duty to them. I just hope the Government would get something to do about this soon.
The only issue there is that you don't won't to argue with these guys or else they'll just cut short somebody's life. My children never enjoy me well, well o ! grin

HealthAlcohol Causes Oral Cancer –study by bigfather(op): 8:43am On Aug 12, 2009
DO you derive joy in consuming the content of the green bottles and other alcohol? If your answer is in the affirmative, then you risk, oral cancer infection.

Alcohol has been fingered as a possible cause of an “alarming” rise in the rate of oral cancers among men and women in their 40s.

Experts say that the number of 40-somethings developing cancers of the mouth, tongue, lip and throat have increased by a quarter in the past 10 years.

Figures produced yesterday by Cancer Research UK showed that since the mid-1990s, the rates of oral cancers have gone up by 28 per cent for men in their 40s and 24 per cent for women.

The charity’s health information manager, Hazel Nunn, said: “These latest figures are really alarming. Around three quarters of oral cancers are thought to be caused by smoking and drinking alcohol.”

Each year, about 5,000 new oral cancers are diagnosed in the United Kingdom and 1,800 people die from the disease.

Don Shenker, chief executive of the charity Alcohol Concern, said: “It’s time we introduced tobacco-style health warnings on alcohol.”

Very funny but come to think of it,it could be him o! Lets ask him.
Read this .
Uneasy is the head that wears the crown. So is the story of one of Nigeria's heavyweight music producer, Don Jazzy. He was born without a silver spoon.

He grew up in Ajegunle ( popularly called AJ City) worshiping at Cherubim and Seraphim church. After secondary school, he went on to Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in Edo State, but dropped out as a result of financial difficulties. Don Jazzy had to sell bean cake (akara) for his mom in Ajegunle and had to become a bus conductor to feed his family.

The now most sought after producer never left Nigeria for London for pursue an education. An uncle of his asked him to come play instrumentals for a church in London and after spending sometime in London, he never thought of returning to Nigeria until D Banj persuaded him to, and the rest is history. The soft spoken producer sits as the President of one of Nigeria's most promising and fledgling record label, Mo Hits Records, which has produced such stars like D Banj, Wande Coal, and lots more.

How can they say a car which was brought naija used was not properly cleared despite the fact that every other papers are intact ? Is that not extortion by force ? Abi is it the buyers fault that the car is well maintained and still clean ? Please somebody should put a stop to this and let these guys go back to where they belong abeg !

CelebritiesMusic Star, Paul Play Dairo Down With Cancer! by bigfather(op): 10:06am On Jul 27, 2009
What would have been another disaster in the Nigerian entertainment industry, was recently averted when music star and R and B crooner, Paul Play Dairo underwent an intensive operation, to remove a cancerous lump in one of his internal organs.

Although, details of the exact site of the lump were sketchy as at press time, Daily Sun exclusively gathered that the successful operation was carried out in an undisclosed South African hospital, where Dairo, is currently recuperating and is being watched over by a very close family member.

It was learnt that Dairo, the son of late music maestro, I.K. Dairo, was originally in South Africa, with his crew to shoot some music videos for his forthcoming album, before taking ill.
The multiple award-wining singer; according to Daily Sun source, did not have any inkling that he would be diagnosed with cancer of the kidney, let alone being operated upon in a South African hospital, while preparing for his music videos shoot, which is now pending.

“In fact, it came to him as a rude shock when the doctors diagnosed and told him he had cancer of the kidney. He never expected it, because he left Nigeria very healthy. We thank God that the operation was successful, and his wife is now there with him and also helping him to recuperate. Nigerians and his fans globally should begin to pray for Paul Play now, because cancer, we all know is a killer illness. He has survived the operation, but still needs our prayers and support in whatever form to stay alive.”

Dairo, a former Globacom’s ambassador, became famous in the music industry, some years back, when he did a remix of the monster hit Mosorire, one of the evergreen songs originally composed and sang by his late father, during his reigning days. Since that bold entry, he has not looked back with his flourishing music career that is blessed with a special vocal strength.

Meanwhile, it would be recalled that late Pop Queen Tyna Onwudiwe, was also diagnosed with Cancer, while residing in South Africa. Onwudiwe, also known as African Onyibo, eventually died while battling the terminal illness.
The good news, however, is that Paul Play has apparently overcome his own cancer scare.
CrimeDead Man’ Appears In Court by bigfather(op): 10:05am On Jul 27, 2009
An accused that jumped bail in 2006 and was believed to be dead after a team of lawyers as well as policemen visited his hometown to see his grave, yesterday appeared before an Abuja magistrate court to continue his trial.

The man, Bala Gyang was first arraigned on February 19 2006, on a case of alleged car theft and the court granted him bail.

Our reporter learnt from a lawyer that the accused has been using the identity and documents of a dead person to secure employments.

The lawyer further stated that a surety, Emmanuel Ogbeche signed the bail bond for the accused person’s release from detention on April 6, 2007and he vanished into thin air and never showed up in subsequent hearings of the case, which made the court to make an order on November 20, 2007 requesting the surety to fulfil the bail bond by remitting N150,000.

The trial magistrate, Abdul Dogo, also issued a bench warrant for his arrest, which prompted the surety to mobilize officers of the Nigeria Police Force, who travelled to the accused person’s place at Vom, in Plateau State.

The surety’s lawyer, Esther Uzoma, told the court that when they went to Vom, they were shown a grave where Bala Gyang was buried as well as his death certificate.

“The family told us that Gyang died during the Jos crises, which arouse our suspicion that the accused was still alive because the crisis took place before he was first arraigned for the alleged theft,” the lawyer said.

According to her, the surety informed her that he will rather expend money searching for the accused than go for an appeal and he used his life savings to the tune of N750,000 before the accused was sighted and arrested in a slum at Durumi, where he lives with his wife and children.

When the case was called for hearing yesterday, Prosecutor Jeremiah Elijah, who stood in for somebody said he was confused as to the stage of the case and the surety’s lawyer, Barrister Esther Uzoma then briefed the court on the situation of the case.

She made an application for the court to vacate its order on November 20, 2007 compelling the surety to remit N150,000 as bail bond as well as told the magistrate to also discharge the Emmanuel Ogbeche from standing as surety to the accused.

“We want your Lordship to grant our prayers considering the hardship faced by the surety,” Barrister Uzoma stated.

Magistrate Dogo shifted ruling on the surety’s application to August 13 and ordered the remand of the accused in prison custody until that date.

Our reporter learnt that the accused, who is a driver, was dismissed from the Federal Road Safety Commission.
