@justwise please we need you here. I know you don't encourage this kind of attitude especially when people are being misinformed and STYLISHLY coerced into agency dealings. Kindly read some pages back to straighten things out here.

Jayfierce, let's just leave him. I have done my bit by calling him out so that others reading might not fall into his trap and terrible advises. We will continue to help people with the little we know.

awelekiti if you are so well travelled and know all these things you claim you know, helping people won't bother you as much. The same you has all your family members in the abroad and neighbors getting passports stamped with refusal stamps from the US embassy. Congratulations. My own is stop giving people ill advises here. If I see it, I will call you out. This place is for learning and helping each other and not to drop others in deeper waters. Have a great day ahead with your agency.

.

I don't agree with this. @ chanbaby, you husband is simply doing business that the money was paid in by other people does not matter. If you are asked u tell the vo that you are husband works for. ........ And he is also into car business or importation of vehicles (after all some dey come from outside naija) .while giving him the statement you can tell him that one is for his salary while the second is his business account. The fact that both are in his name is better for you. That way u might not need reference letter from bank to identify or state ownership. Oyibo people de do 2-4 jobs so it's not strange for one to be working and having a side business.

BTW does hubby work in a bank?
from what i have noticed, VO don't even like hearing about car importation and selling business. I think i read it in one of the previous threads. If you need to prove that you have money to pay for your trip, kindly put that money where you are sure won't raise questions. Money for buying and selling cars should actually be in a company account if it is a business. i might be wrong thou. try and look up previous threads

For someone who just joined Nairaland this night you are quite skilled in PM's that is only available to members.

The more you talk the more you present yourself as a creation of circumstance. Just stop adding fire. Is that too much to ask?

You're entitled to your opinion. As you know, I don't care about your criticisms. This isn't your first time and all I've been doing all along is ignore you but at this time, I think it's important I react. If I was an agent, I wouldn't be offering assistance for free, with detailed explanations. This is what I enjoy doing, at my leisure...to assist here. I don't need anybody's favour ok? I'm comfortable the way I am and I bless God for that. If you lack knowledge, why not ask instead of attacking? It's your business whatever your opinion is. You're only attacking blindly. For the info I got...UK doesn't stamp passports anymore, same with canada. Go and ask anybody who had been rejected CIC and UK visa in recent times if in doubt. In December 2015, I know of a neighbour who applied to US and came back with his passport stamped. That was what I based my opinion on. If you're not comfortable with my contribution here, you can always keep quiet. I won't bother respond to your subsequent rants.
another coincidence? this guy, don't do this to yourself! i can go the IP route too if you tempt me! whatever your motives are, it;s your business! just stop the misinformation!

This isn't correct sir. I applied late last year for NIV and my passport was stamped. I had only visited south Africa before I tried US. Early this year, I applied for UK but was also denied , maybe because I was refused US before, dunno but they didn't stamp my passport, I was surprised. I reapplied early may to UK and was given 6 months. I'm back already to try canada against December for my annual leave. I think awele was right...He's only too detailed in his explanation. He really has time, hahaha. But all of you guys are wonderful here.
awelekiti:
Your rejected UK visa could be last year...or was it this year?. They don't stamp passports anymore. In my company we travel almost every quarter due to the nature of our business. In May, we were invited for an annual product training in Calgary y our partner( both sales and technical). We applied for 2 of our staff( a sales guy and a technician). The sales guy was granted while the one in charge of technical department was denied. They just cited travel history and returned all his documents to him. His passport wasn't stamped. He was asked to reapply in his refusal letter if he could address the reason he was rejected. The training holds once in a year because it's for all distributors, globally and we're the one in charge of Nigerian territory. In early July, we had an issue with one of their equipment we recently ordered. After escalating it to them, they agreed to send another invitation but we advised that another technician , who had been to schenghen area to apply. I gave him same documents and he applied on the 20th of July via paper route. On the 15th of September, his visa was granted as seen on his passport. I accompanied him to pick his passport this week.
i am just here wondering why the both of you type your messages the same way! coincidence? or fraud? f**k outta here man!

I was denied US last November and my passport was stamped omobeldel. I also applied to UK but my passport was not stamped. I think awele was right. The canada stuff is what I'm not sure about cos I'm just planning to apply. Nice job you guys are doing here. Experience really matters.

Hello house,

My application was denied, reasons stated is fund not sufficient, no travel history and asset declared not sufficient.
Sorry about your denial. Did you apply via paper route? Like jayfierce said, request for your gmcs note. I suspect the US denial has a lot to do with the denial. If you have misrepresented with the US, it will be a bit difficult to get Canadian visa because they really share information between eachother. Contrary to what you were told, apply for a US visa. Fill correctly your information and refusals that you have. During your interview, state it to the VO that you didn't come clean in your previous application and you did it because you were scared of a denial. Apologise for it. Then leave the rest to them. That's what I feel is the honorable thing to do. And please fill your forms yourself. Agents are a complete waste of money and a HUGE fraud. Don't use any agents. Fill your forms, print it out, memorise what you have filled so there are no conflicting details then pray. US visa is 50% luck.
Apply for the US visa. There's no harm in it and if you have been banned, they would let you know.

Cheers mate

awelekiti:
Please don't be discouraged. In my opinion, you've presented the required documents to back your applications. At times when a visa is denied, the reason(s) goes beyond what's highlighted on the refusal letter which the applicant may not be privy to. Don't bother applying for USA visa at this time because it's going to be a 50-50 chance and if you're denied, US will put a refusal stamp on your passport, which may affect you when next you reapply for canada visa . Let me give give you an instance. I have an Indian business partner who's doing well in his country as a manufacturer. He's been to Canada severally. The canada visa he went to renew was valid for 10 years but was denied. Before he reapplied for this renewal, he had been to USA embassy for a NIV but was denied and his passport was stamped. By the time he received his processed passport from the CIC, he was shocked because he wa denied. The reason he was denied by CIC was TRAVEL HISTORY as highlighted on the refusal letter and he's never stayed more than 3 weeks since he's been visiting canada. He told me he guessed it was the USA stamp that caused it. He reapplied 6 months later and was granted another 10 years visa. You may reapply to UK since you've been there before if your UK visa is expired and if you're refused, they won't stamp your passport unlike USA
Can you please stop misinforming peoplehuh
Who told you US stamps people's passport when you are refused visa? UK doesn't stamp your passport for refusalhuh This guy... Smh

I am just thinking maybe you are an agent looking for customers.. Sighs

*Bigfido, any relationship that invloves abuse should be broken. simple!* The reason it seems DV cases is an opportunity to bash men is because the greater percentage of the victims are women. If a man is being abused physically and he refuses to leave or speak out, it is often as a result of shame and not fear which is the case for women. As Happytbaby said, i grew my daughter's body from scratch, any man that touches her will visit the great beyond and return.
Do you have any documented statistics to prove that the greater percentage of people abused in a relationship are females?
So any woman that violates your son emotionally or physically, even while knowing he is scared to talk, you will pamper?

You are not tackling the problem. You have broken it into segments. DV is DV, whether it is done by a man or a woman. So when you are raising your kids(male and female) instill virtuous qualities in them.

@bigfido. Valid point but to give the earlier posters some credit, someone mentioned it and said spousal violence against any gender is bad.
I once heard of a woman that after beating the husband, she'll flush the car keys down the loo and the man will run out of the house. Imagine that
Jesu!
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by bigfido: 11:09pm On Sep 14, 2016
sorry to take you guys back a bit, why is it that whenever domestic violence is being discussed, everybody keeps attacking the men and rarely does anyone talk about women that abuse their husbands? Shouldn't we treat domestic violence as a topic rather than as an opportunity to bash men who beat their wives where as there are also thousands of men who get abused but can't say it in public because of fear of being mocked and laughed at? DV is only discussed when the man raises his hand.. what of the woman that has spat on his husband face with loads of abuses? Some men don't know how to talk. They just use whatever they have and fiam beating... I am not justifying the beating so please don't misquote me, I am only saying the topic should be discussed on a broader scope so as to save those being abused in other ways asides from it being physical.

I assume you are applying for a visitor visa. Below is the link to the CIC guide to apply for a visitor visa.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5256ETOC.asp

Online applicants completed the questionnaire that generated the required forms for us to to fill and upload. As a paper applicant, please thoroughly review the guide and print out Document Checklist (IMM 5484).

TIPS:

1) When you hover around an area in some of the forms, hints pop up on how to complete it.

2) Take note of "if applicable" forms and consult the guide for further clarification.

3) Answer all sections. If a section does not apply to you then answer NA or Not Applicable.

Godspeed
This one that they have not answered you. Shey we get hope like this? 112 today here

I didn't want to bring up finances since it wasn't mentioned in the refusal letter but Awelekiti is right on the money. Also having a sponsor doesn't always work no matter how much he has in his account. It's mostly all about YOU and how you can prove strong ties. It's not advisable to use company account for vacation/visit visa application because it doesn't present you as serious business person. Money for business should be for business and money for flexing should be for flexing.

One more thing, all visa applicants should note is that the Naira has lost its value. Your 3m naira is actually worth roughly about 1.5m according to international standards. So we should always keep the exchange rate in mind when applying to any country. Checking through Nairaland, I've provided links below to serve as a GUIDE only, for prospective visa applicants. Please kindly tailor the GUIDE to CIC requirements. Best of Luck.

Peeps, please I bought Indomie Oriental Fried something something flavour as advised by some people earlier on this forum. I got home and saw "contains dried vegetables'' has anyone travelled with this flavour and it was siezed?

By the way I am carrying anything 'carriable' from here in terms of foodstuff and essentials. I cannot spend my hard earned dollars buying milo at African store for 10dollars or tiny padlock for 3dollars when I have ample luggage allowance.

Infact, all mamas looking to save costs in this dollar palava era, you can go to Lagos island to buy good quality sleep suits, booties, caps, socks etc and carry along for baby. For example, I bought aa set of 3 sleepsuits for N3,000, checked Macys (thats where I buy most baby clothes) and saw most of them going for 12dollars apiece...abeg help me do the maths. Make una no call me Ijebu o, its just that at 400naira per dollar, N5m no reach to do missionary journey again.

Na, when you have long layover at times and virgin wants to put you in a hotel, you will go through border control and they will issue you a border visa for like a day. you don't need to have a uk visa for that

YoungMetrosG:
Chuchuo and XX01 are right, Heathrow airside doesn't work 24 hours. Anyone that has long layovers will have to go through passport control and only people with UK visas can do that.

The Virgin Atlantic flights to LAX land in LHR in the afternoon and leave for LAX in the morning, so anyone buying this definitely needs a UK visa. People considering this should look into flying to JFK as this will be more convenient.
