Ayolayemi: Hello Ayolayemi, I tried to reach you. Please could you send me a dm when you can. I'd truly appreciate it. I have questions on applying for ATS with Wes. If there is anyone who has successfully done this too that can provide some sort of guidance, I would appreciate it. Thanks |

I think you are misleading people with this post. You can apply for a supervisa for your parent at any time after you land so far you meet the requirements. You can apply even a month after you land so far you are employed and have a letter from your employer stating how much you earn and it is over the LICO as stipulated in the yearly LICO table. This info you have given is very inaccurate. Also, where did you get your information from that you will not get a visa to visit the US just 6 months after you land? I am asking because I have friendssssssssssssssssssss that got US visas a few months after landing and by a few months, I am very certain it wasn't up to 6 months and they got their 10 years visitors visa. Your conviction in saying "you will be rejected" is mind-blowing We need to be very careful about the kind of information we take in in a public forum. If you are in doubt, please make phone calls or go to the organization's website for more information. Selah gentleiphy: 1 Like |

Scbhoviv: Hi, Your story is not new and it is expected. If you read back 3 or 4 threads back, you would find a family of 9 that had the same issue. In fact, he applied before me in 2017, I landed and did 1 year here before they had their interview and later got ppr. I don't want to make you feel bad, I am just letting you know what possible scenarios you should expect. I pray yours happens faster than you think. Also, when you get your ppr, you might want to consider smaller towns to live in. Having 5 children here could be terribly expensive... from daycare charges to summer camp etc. Best of luck to your family 16 Likes 4 Shares |

Do you know how big NW is with this generalization you have just made? LOL. Do you even know how big the other quadrants are? SE, SW and NE? it all depends on where you are going. NW is a pretty decent place and it is closer to a lot of places than you think. If you are in doubt, try NE and SE. Try Sids barber shop. Ask for Jabari. he is Ethiopian. they will take care of you. Also, most barbershop here don't take card payment. so go with cash. it is $20 and it is not unusual for you tip. In fact, try to add a tip to it. As per the Calgary transit app, I think it is not as good as google maps because, with google maps, you can see where the bus or train you are waiting for is. As for uber. hmmm.. don't just hop on it as the city is big and price can climb pretty fast. Honest suggestion, Leave home 1 hr before your appointment time. Niceyenuf: You technically can't do that. She needs to return to Nigeria before going back to Canada. There is a law against going to the US for flagpoling or so- not entirely sure. Research it properly |

iaatmguy: I don't think you have really done your homework about relocating. first of, you will spend three times the amount for airfares, which can easily be 3-4k dollars on airfare- wasted 3 months rent. Then the difference between rent for one person to a family of 4 is merely insignificant, but you are losing money paying for rent in two places. if you are a family with 2 children, you would have lost more than $13k in child support from the government in 1 year- Government pays the mother $540 something per month per child. Money the government pays you in child support can pay a substantial amount of your rent until you settle. Your kids would have lost free quality education for a year and you will still pay for education in Nigeria when you all would have settled in in less than 3-6 month here. doesn't make any sense to me if you asked me. Come with your kids, weather the storm, between you and your wife, that is twice the opportunity to get a job. In alberta, first 3 months for child care is free while you guys are trying to settle down, to look for a job. so really, what it will cost you. But once you have a job and they move in, believe you me, rent and childcare- you can't get free childcare again because you are now working - can easily take up to 75% of your salary. Be wise. 30 Likes 1 Share |

NameUserNo: This was how I felt after 6th attempt. Passed on the 7th one. I am in my 7th month in Canada now. 2 years, 5 months to citizenship. It is tough. Take a break. Come back stronger. You will blame yourself if you give up more in the future. The most important thing now are prayers because there's little or more in terms of knowledge to add. Yea prayer works. Prayer to St. Joseph of Cupertino works. It did for me, it did for others. Be strong mate 87 Likes 2 Shares |

Sthill5: What you posted said "documentation from third party" if someone is asking for a service from you, they give you a contract or a PO. That's documentation from third party. Not a letter claiming what you did for them. You can submit what you think is right thou. Good luck |

Negotiate: I don't think it is a wise thing to sign marriage court documents without the express approval of your parents or her parents. It is wrong. As a man, make your intentions known to the father, tell him your plans. If he says no, then wait. If he says yes, do your court stuff quietly. 35 Likes |

Hi, you don't need to get letters from your clients. I am sure what they need from you are contracts, invoices/ receipt of payments, your business account showing transactions and your income tax. You can take screenshots of email correspondence between you and your clients as well. I have put a screenshot of my gcms note after I got ppr so you can know what exactly they are looking for. See you in Canada. toluls: 8 Likes |

Hi, I think i replied your email but i am not sure you got it. I applied as a self-employed applicant. I know what your journey has been like. Firstly, don't write any letter for any client to sign as your job reference letter. if you read back, someone did this and got into hot soup. If you can go through my posts, you will see what you need to apply as a self-employed applicant. The most important things you need are contract letters, your income tax and cac documents. Also make sure the contract figures can be traced in your account. You can always pm me if you need more info to get you through. See you in Canada Sthill5: 8 Likes 3 Shares |

Hello people. been a minute. While it is ok to dance when you get ppr, don't bask too much in the euphoria o. Real work starts even before and after you land. finding a house to rent- this could be very challenging, registering the kids in schools, applying for all sorts of things, doing test and exams for driver's license etc. The major one, of course, is getting a job. like I said, the major and real work starts when you get ppr. Here is wishing you all the best. Today marks 3 months since I landed in Canada. So far so good, it has been awesome. Having to relearn a lot of things is no joke. As much as possible, ask questions when you get ppr. join WhatsApp groups and ask questions. If you don't have information here, you go suffer no be small. so ask questions. do your research, read a lot on the internet ati bebe lo. back into my hustle. good luck to everyone And for all it is worth, make sure you get your driver's license before you land. If you don't have one now, start hustling for it. It will save you at least 2 years from having to be a learner. Very important o! If you already have it, get your driving abstract from frsc too and letter of no claims from your insurance company. Best of luck again. 54 Likes 12 Shares |

@popowaa please my advice is that don't do dependant thing o.. serious long thing. I will suggest you guys do the PR thing. he gets more points for job offer and you guys won't need to show proof of funds. get married, write your exams, he should write his, do your eca and get into the pool. it is way faster than doing that dependant thing for a work visa sponsor and you don't get benefits of a PR.. those benefits are mind blowing if you ask me. 3 Likes |

mrsJustveryOkay: I am not sure there is anything wrong with what she typed. In fact, i think it is a genuine advice. It is quite difficult to get a work visa if you are not getting a post study permit. She only hinted her so they are 100% sure about what they are doing. My advice to them is they should wait for the husband to get a job offer then apply for perrmanent residency. With that, they will get more points and won't need POF. it is just a waiting game for them. 3 Likes |

Opotuniti: Hi, congratulations on your ITA. I am happy for you but i want to advise you. Firstly, don't be in a rush to submit your application whether you have gathered all documents or not. take your time to cross the Ts. I don't know why i decided to tell you this though. Just be patient. If possible review your application severally before you submit. On the issue of the money paid into your account, submit your statement the way it is. I think you will be fine. what they usually look out for is a huge sum of money making up a good chunk of your POF just after you get your ITA and in this case, i think $4,700 is negligible compared to how much was in the account before. Please don't rush to submit. go over and over your application before you submit. It will end in praises 9 Likes |
