Oga, is VFS same as CIC?. I'm concerned about CIC here and not VFS. Read the portion of my comment that you highlighted for more. VFS would only acknowledge the receipt of your biometric details and that doesn't mean the CIC has done the matching same day...and if the CIC sends you an email on your biometric, it will NEVER be same day you did your biometrics at vfs because the latter will have to transmit your biometric to the CIC first, electronically before they(CIC) can send you their own acknowledgement . This is based on my experience and that of many here and I stand to be corrected on this. I won't argue with you but it's very wrong for you to just say one is entirely wrong when you don't seem to understand how some things work. At least I've been issued TRV visas more than 4 consecutive times in the past and I've tried both the paper route and the online applications, same as my siblings and cousins. We share experience based on the kind of emails and information they receive from CIC when they make enquiries about their delayed applications. I have 2 of them who are already studying there. If you don't understand something, you simply ask questions. Nobody also knows it all so, it is not enough to just condemn a vital information provided by someone else and say it's entirely wrong. In most cases, I decline to reply to comments like yours because of this 'I too know mentality' but I think it's important I let you know this too. Thank you.

why are you going down the insult lane for saying what you typed in what i bolded is entirely wrong? is it a crime or a sin to criticize you? and what does your family history have to do with this?? because you have gotten a canadian visa, does that make you the head of cic management if you were patient enough to read what i typed, you would see i was referring to your CIC account.. i mentioned vfs because that's where you go to do biometrics isn't it? before you do you biometrics, what is written under biometric section in your application status in your cic account? isn't it "applicant need to update biometric details"? and after you do your biometrics and vfs updates you about it, cic sends you an update email about your application, the biometrics sections in your cic account is updated to "not needed at this time"..And that is because they don't need to do a background check on you for now but they have your biometrics details and it as been attached to your application. if you don't have anyother meaningful thing to say asides insults for criticising the info you have given, end the conversation abeg.

The new processing time is only applicable to those who made their applications on the 9th August. with applicants' experience in recent times, online application is damn too slow. A lot of factors could be responsible for this delay though. If you submitted your documents online chances are, you won't do biometrics until a day or 2, after you made the submission and the CIC would need to sort your application documents by matching your biometrics details to your online applications so, it takes extra effort and time to do this because it's not automatic. Don't also forget that many applicants would have sent the CIC emails within the period you applied and biometric taken. CIC won't jump the queue, mails will be treated on a first come, first served basis. The number of online inquiries and applications received will also determine their response time, to your online applications. If you had applied via paper route, during which your bio details must have been collected and kept in the file jacket containing all your forms and documents with passport(s), it makes the process faster because the officer assigned to treat your case will have everything handy, without going online to be checking one after the other. That's how it works. The last time I applied, I took extra effort to go to vfs lekki to avoid needless delays. I could have done it online from the comfort of my office but I didn't do this.Within 3 weeks, I was already done with everything. Maybe you should give paper route a try next time. If you read the previous posts too, you'd see that those who applied via paper route got their visas within same peroid of 3 weeks. I've even seen 6 days. Please send CIC an email, requesting an update of your application, quoting all the quotables on the subject of your email for fast treatment. Good luckiest.

this entirely wrong. your biometric details are updated on there website and on your page. you get an email from vfs the same day your biometric is done or the next informing that your biometric has been updated. CIC will also let you know your profile has been updated

Guys, always let your spouse evaluate their degree and write Ielts. the both of you should have seperate express entry profile with your spouse's details included in your application. It is not a sin... then pursue PNP differently. Someone i know just got nomination from the wife's profile even thou her CRS score was 319. she has the technique the province was looking for (new brunswick). Let's be wise about it

Hi, Did you send the email to them before applying? you need to print out the "you are welcome to attend" email sent to you as well. if you have done your ECA and your Ielts, fill the EOI form and go with that as well. you will likely get your ITA on the spot

I called my school and they confirmed they put my transcripts in an envelope, and then put the envelope with other documents I sent to them, all into a bigger envelope and sent it to IQAS. I don't think d mistake is from the school. Please how can I write IQAS and when?. Thanks

hi,

truth is you can apply for just a trv for her or a spouse work permit. She would have gotten a work permit if your masters or whatever program you are going for exceeds a year. this makes your wife a work permit holder and she can relocate there with your kids so far your study visa is still valid. ultimately, when she or you are set to apply for the express entry, you score more points which then guarantees you an invitation to apply.

you can go a head and apply for a spouse work permit visa for her while you await the response for the trv.

your husband can't get a work permit as your degree is almost up and it is a 1 year program. Most work permits based on spousal student visa are issued if your spouse is on a 2 year program. You can apply for express entry once you are done with your masters and include him in your application.

as for visiting, i think he should apply for that. he has a valid reason for going to visit. I hope he has a solid home ties sha.

ICAS is different from IQAS. I paid IQAS using an Access bank visa card.

After linking your card to your current account, did u activate it for online banking? I will suggest u go to any gtb around u and make a complain. I used my gtb debit atm card, linked to my current account and it worked. Used it to pay for a friend as well and it worked.

oh i see, maybe that's the problem. i am trying to pay with the one attached to my savings account. i deactivated my current account because of charges. thanks a lot

First of all I want to say again dt IQAS is d only evaluating body that understands foreign law degrees, concludes d evaluation in record time and is cheaper.
For ur first question...IQAS recognises dt Nig has direct entry programmes for Law and it's four years. I'm thinking it'll be written on ur transcripts dt it's a direct entry programme u came in thru. But to be on the safe side you can attach ur dip degree or request for ur transcripts and also explain to them in a written note.
For ur 2nd ?....yes your age, work experience and ielts are d determining factors. If ur less than 30 or at most 32 you should get good points. If. U hv 3years work experience and try to score atleast 8777 in LRWS in IELTS your scores should be well over 450 atleast.
If u v any queries...don't hesitate to ask.

Please stay away from travelstart. i bought my united ticket from them. United has since refunded my money to them but theyhave refused to release my money to me. Send them emails, they dont respond. Call them, they cannot be reached. Wakanow is the best bet when it comes to these issues and they are even cheaper than travelstart. Even if its Dangote who has a seaload of money, i will still tell him to look elsewhere. I will go to their office soon and rake for them.

it is BOLDLY written on their website what their return policy is before making your booking. I don't think knocking someone's hustle because of your lapses is a great thing. they have stated conditions for returning payment if you have to cancel your flight or there is a cancellation from your operator. if you read it and you are not cool with it, why did you go ahead to book with them? same applies to wakanow.

It's cheaper to book with travelstart if you will be changing your flight dates if you paid for changes than buying a flexible tickets from the airline. they have their advantages and disadvantages.

Take your time to meet with the finance woman on the ground floor at Whmc to discuss the payment options. U can even ask to start making payment 3 months from now to help you strategise your finances. they might offer Medicaid for the bill, I don't know if taking it might be a good option since it's their citizen that is taking it and not you (I might be wrong) , but I don't think it's a good option to take it.
