I called them twice and the representatives all said my card was provisioned to work properly. I have used the card for online transactions and for ATM withdrawals without any problems ( even though withdrawal was denied for anything above $120) but it just won't work at the POS terminal. At this point I'm not sure I want to face anymore embarrament.
Kroger is probably not charging your card for money order as pos transaction but as atm withdrawals. I had the same issue while I was there with atm withdrawals. Some days, I noticed I could only withdraw 120 and others, I get lucky to do the whole 140. 150 won't work because the machines only dispense in 20's. Try Fiesta Mart for the money order. I am 100% sure they charge your card as Pos transaction for money order which means you can do $350 but you will be charged an additional $1 for the transaction so have cash in hand ready for that. If its not working, just move your money to gtb since their prices are almost the same now.

Monitoring spirits are mostly agents who get info for free and sell it at a premium to unsuspecting clients. It's a regularly used word here as we have had experiences of info being dropped then the doc or hosp or accomodation increases price due to an increase in demand.

Bigfido may not be able to distinguish actual patients from 'monitoring spirits' except he is familiar with the user's activity here. No vex, but ewe have been bitten one too many times here.

MIHS, oakbend, Mobap, and now mount sinai increased their prices. These are just a few examples and results of the activities of monitoring spirits
@olokings Nefer just nailed it. You know some of us really suffer to get info and post it here. I remember your waka at Dallas... Some people just come, take and never give back. I think that's actually not fair.

I am sorry if I angered anyone I didn't reply. I will try my best possible to reply as much as I can. I just saw a lot of monikers I have never seen before in my mail and you begin to wonder who these people are. Asikiye I replied you even before posting ntoi..

Well, some of us may just have stumbled on this thread so please refrain from using insulting words such as monitoring spirits. Some people here genuinely need help, eg, me. That's why i sent you an email and you haven't responded then come here and call us names. It's not nice.
Sorry.. I didn't insult anyone and if you have been here long enough, perhaps you will understand who the monitoring spirits are.
But I won't still reply you sha.. Ntoi tongue tongue

So I also read about renting a car. Here's my advise to you people.

1) if you know you didn't go to a proper driving school here, please don't attempt to rent a car. You might end up presenting driving tickets and receipt of payment as your hospital receipt when you want to renew your visa.

2) do you know road signs very well? The ones written on the floor? If you don't, buy slate for kewu, and start practising it. Just be reciting it like you are learning kewu in Ile kewu.

3) Google maps.. Please learn how to use GPS very well and if you don't have Eztag please always avoid tolls. If you enter one and you see purple light, no, it's not disco light, it's gbese waiting for you in the mail box

4) speed limit in school areas... It's very important to adhere to it. If you see a school bus park and you see the brake light blinking, please just stop behind the bus.. If the bus doesn't move, don't move or overtake it o. If its there for 1hr, just open nairaland to keep yourself entertained

5) Yield. You need to learn this one very well, or else, accident. And insurance is not sere sere

6) make sure you get a proper insurance. It is better than to stammer incase anything happens.

Good luck people

hello people,

so we touched down Naija on friday and with LO.
Thanks to everybody for your help and contributions. We used WHMC and the bills remain the same with Mrsbwc's bills except doctor charged 2k.

Heat has want to finish my LO. 3 days and heat rash is all over her face. Uber nearly used night bus to send me back to my village until i got to rent a car from Hertz.

please try your best to factor in transportation to your budget when making one. It is very important has it can drain you especially if you are staying in Houston.

curtains down.

@justwise I have accommodation suggestions for people and need your approval to talk about it.

thanks

People that are experts in changing the date on return ticket from future to immediate present.

Adycatus, did you see any officer in the secondary inspection room with "houston cbp in training" tag? Houston dey learn work for there.

@girloom the moment I read that you exchanged words with your MIL, a chunk of the sympathy I had left. Yoruba people say, ile oko, ile eko ni (your matrimonial home is where you learn good behaviour).. I might sound terrible to you right now, but imagine your younger brothers wife exchanging words with your mother under your roof.. Would you hug her and take her to dinner afterwards? As a woman, you have to learn patience. Not every war is won by confrontations. Some are won by silence. Yes, it hurts, but knowing when to speak at times saves nine. I am sure you know your husband and from the little I have read, his family is important to him than his wife. The moment a man threatens you with divorce, you need to start evaluating your worth to that man and most importantly, what values the man attach to his home. At that point, you should have learnt how to thread carefully. Your SIL might have attitude and as such it might be killing you.. You could have easily evaluated your position and know how to chose your battles wisely. Silence is golden especially for a woman.

I think now, you should let your family know what you are going through, if they can raise cash for you, great! Pack your bags and leave that house. If your husband calls to divorce you because you sort for your own sanity, give him a clap on the phone and let him do as he pleases. To me, all is not fair with such threats in a marriage.
2) before you leave, apologise to your SIL for the disagreement (makes you look like a fool and cheated yea?, it's a game plan) thank her for the hospitality and bounce. Don't look back
3) head to social security office to log your complains and either ask for another card or a Pin for the one you have
4) inform your husband about the change in the number or that you have obtained a Pin for it. I am sure he will mention it to his sister. If they go ahead to use it and end up in jail, that's their cup of tea
5) Pray! That's the greatest weapon a woman has.

I wish you the best of luck

nefertitiram:
Lemme explain JW's stance. In all fairness. Let's use ds Bigfido's hosp for example.

So we call the Hosp Ara Jesu, yer.

Ara Jesu perhaps is super cheap. Maybe 3k for the full package.

Big fido drops the info. Free advert for a cheap hosp. NLders bombard dem with calls, Ghostmode peeps and spiritual members even show up there. The hosp now realizes oh boyee, demand don high, meanwhile supply of manpower and resources remains constant. Which factor becomes variable? PRICE! Case in question Mobap! What you are trying to gain by "helping people" becomes counter productive, cos if you had kept mum, the lucky few will have access to the old price.

Even if the hosp proves to be James bond and carries everybody, Doctores para ti that dropped big money to put advert will feel cheated. And may be discouraged from continuing the transaction.

Maybe Ara Jesu hosp had plans to pay Seun to gather customers, no need na. Big Fido don do the free publicity na. Seun don loss money be that.

So, the way forward is to behave like the Phoenix people. Drop hint, I don see package ooo! Those of you interested, join the bandwagon and carry the ministry to the permanent site in Phoenix. Dallas people don de coordinate themselves too.

This is beneficial to all parties, simply because, spiritual members and monitoring spirits will not help you destroy the opportunity before it gets to your turn.

If you want to help Ara Jesu, you can contact dem to get clients by advertising here, Seun suppose find us small commission sef. angry

Anyways, Bros JW, did I succeed in breaking it down?
I didn't know my work was helping a hospital. The same hospital that we were both discussing? 10 pages ago, the same us thought we should find other hospitals to use so we don't get ripped off by the popular ones? It's even better to be a monitoring spirit yea? Or maybe I should have said "I have found a cheaper hospital, pm me"? Like I said, I understand his position and that's why I was subtle about the info I gave and asked for people to research them further. Anyways, na to keep info to oneself henceforth.. Cheers

Bia justwise, which of your company's rules did I break with my msg directed at bigfido? Bigfido mentioned a hospital I had already contacted and I.... Why am i even explaining? You know what you deleted and your reasons.
I guess we should all keep our research findings to ourselves then.
Sorry I didn't read the post so I can't answer. Please call them and request for info. I think I have done my part

On their website, Vag delivery was about $2904, baby's stay is $900+, doc fee is not included, this is just for hospital stay.

Do you have their personal correspondence including can, lab, hearing test, baby tests, etc, in case am getting it all twisted? No vex say I de pay devil's advocate o! Na make person no enter one chance
I called quite a lot of hospitals yesterday in relation to the website and I found a huge difference in the rates posted and what was actually required of you to pay because of percentage discounts they offer. I am quite certain that's the price because I spoke to them. Their tests cost between 750 to 1k3 and you can still request for discount. If you can in fact stay for a day after dropping, you get to pay 1k5 for hospital bills. I don't want to anger samurai so I don't get the knife, so I won't drop any more info. But like I said in my "justwised" post, call them and verify the info.

Oga Justwise, I believe any hospital or an establishment can only consider placing advert only when they have be made popular here by our folks atleast they would get to hear about nairaland. But I must commend your sacasm cuz eno get part 11. Just my observation teh teh. Welldone sir.
I actually share his views about adverts and all and that was why I made it clear that no one should pm me but to call them. I went through the same link that I posted to him to post on the first page. I been overdo myself for helping people and making the forum better so we don't recycle hospitals and be at the mercy of Oakbend and the likes. Nefertitiram, no its not that expensive. @justwise
Can you give me a reason why you removed my post? Was it an advertisement to you because I am beginning to get confused with this yardstick of yours.. I painstakingly called hospitals, found a cheap one and then posted it here even without putting their number and I expressively wrote it in the post that people should further research them. I am not sure what rule I broke. Anyways, I am not going to do that anymore and it sucks for people who should have benefitted from my calling. I don't even get the usefulness of the forum anymore. Cheers man
