ItsModella: huh? is this English? Please just let it go. I have a feeling that someone wants what happened on this thread https://www.nairaland.com/1248641/south-african-hotel-bans-nigerians to reoccur. In fact that thread is still raging. ![]() |

adaobi123: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-22067155Certain things sound unbelievable but true. Madam Thatcher dead (the Iron Lady, herself)! Well, no matter how strong or weak you are, this road is one that awaits us all. R.I.P Maggie |
Barcholder: My friend, please be assured that this is EXACTLY what I'm doing. We will shortly be launching a Solar Installation Company in Nigeria, and our stated aim is to finally eliminate the power problems we have suffered for years. As a diasporan, I see it as my duty to add my quota to the mother land.Respect Sir! That's all I wanted to hear. Not those pointing accusing fingers from the diaspora. You can be rest assured, that if this is affordable, many Nigerians will turn to this form of alternative power supply and they will encourage you. |
@OP I'm frequently left utterly perplexed by the workings of the typical Nigerian mind.I am not sure I understand the meaning of the quoted. However, people have already contributed on why the solar option cannot be readily embraced. Nigerians are not dumb. Who no like better thing? They will do anything in their power to get electricity if possible. You seem to be based abroad. If you have ideas that will better our lot, why don't you bring it home. Even though our leaders want to ruin this country, majority of its citizens want things to be better. Nice thread though. |
Is it me or is something wrong with this generation? People have carnal knowledge with minors, and come here to say it is ok? I just hope that this is some silly joke. Thank you. |
So this is part of the reason why he said that Nigerians were too timid for a revolution abi. ![]() |

Abu Dardam stated that the group was rejecting the amnesty because they don’t recognize democracy as a form of government and that the group does not agree with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, arguing that justice can only be found in the Holy Quran, that is Shariya system of government.See how terrorists are holding this country to ransom? I thought that they were ghosts? Where are these ones crawling out from? People that hate education are telling educated people in Nigeria the above quoted crap above. Later Turai and co.(whose husband did not negotiate with terrorists in the North) will start their nonsense amnesty talk. Abi is this government deaf? BH doesn't want your amnesty, so what are you going to do? . |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfR3JteUjAQ My people sef dey fear too much..FELA Amaechi can lead the struggle if he is serious. When una dey paddy paddy, dey chop our money together, you no remember. |
We should give this man a standing ovation abeg. Kai, we don suffer for dis country sha. After all your amnesty talk with the militants, why have they started killing again? For those who think that by throwing money at some terrorists up North and telling them that they should go home and sin no more, learn from what is going on in the SS presently. When you stop giving them what they or their controllers want, they would continue from where they stopped. ![]() |

vmonyoue: The Igbos are Nigeria greatest problem. They are the sore of this country that instead of getting better keeps getting worse. Their arrogance, full of unnecessary pride, criminal activities, get rich fast mentality and over the top ego. We sholud flush them out of this country fast fast. Give them their Biafra, let them go and stop giving this country bad reputation every day.Am sorry, I believe in Nigeria. |
..This article is about Nigerians and their preference for a squalid existence in a foreign land rather than staying home for a more productive life.@ The Author, I want to believe that you are amongst the Nigerians that you referred to in your article? It sounds bad when people make such hasty generalizations. If you are abroad and do not like what is going on the country ie as stated in the quote, COME BACK AND LET US SALVAGE THE COUNTRY TOGETHER. The country belongs to all of us, haba! And though I will not exonorate a few ediotas that go abroad to shame this country, I do not believe that some few misbehaving Nigerians are South Africa's greatest problem. My opinion. |
[quote author=Baba Oyo]very interesting thread. .....i guess it was originally in the kids section a.k.a romance section before it got moved here hence all the juvenile comments. Madam CC has said it all. nothing to add.Ehen!!! Now it makes sense. I thought there was a mistake somewhere jawe! ![]() But seriously, I wonder what it will cost people to be a little bit sensitive to another person's plight. ![]() |
Na wa o. I didn't know that "Teachers Day, 2013" came early to NL. Here I was thinking that it was sometime later in the year! This is a guy that is going through serious stuff in his marriage and some people are busy making fun of his grammar (even when the OP specifically stated that he is not too good with the language). All ye Tishas of NL, do remember, when you are making fun of others, that they may not have had the opportunity that you had. Thank you. |
Una no vex a beg; is there no day set out annually for the e-warriors to fly the peace flag? Na dis kine tred dey give pesin headache! |
If they did the crime, they should do the time. I am sure they will be happier in the prisons there. Enjoy guys. ![]() |

Erhm... OP, I don't believe that your happiness depends on anybody. Getting a woman or marrying a wife to by-pass this problem might not give you the answer you seek. @ Topic, I believe that you and the favoured brother are adults. Don't blame your brother too much because he may have grown up thinking that there was nothing wrong in the way your father treats you. When he allows himself to mature, he will understand better. You have said that it is difficult for you to talk to your father. Is your brother working? Have you thought about leaving them to be on your own? Let them miss you in that house for a bit. See-finishing does not help us all the time. Moreover, your staying away from them for a while may change the way you think about talking to your dad. You need to clear some in issues in your head; far from the people that cause you such pain. In all, experience has shown that maturity and time tends to mend such issues. Try to snap out of the anger you have towards your father and sibling. If not, you will carry this burden for life. Life goes on. How would you feel if (God forbid) your Dad is no more; will you be happy knowing that you didn't mend fences with him. Do your bit. If he refuses to change his attitude, then you would have satisfied your conscience that you did what you could to have a healthier relationship with him. And do look on the bright side. This experience will make you a better person because you will make sure that no child of yours goes through this. Do remember, MANY PEOPLE ARE OR HAVE GONE THROUGH THIS EXPERIENCE. It is quite common. Goodluck. ![]() |
