Politics › Re: Ex-Zambian President Arrested For Nigerian Oil Deals by Biggyd2: 11:46am On Mar 26, 2013
Excellent. Wish our laws work this way as well. Who was the president of Nigeria when this man committed this crime? If that president was aware of this, would he face the full weight of the law just like this man? If not, will the Nigerian(s) involved in this, be prosecuted as well? undecided
Politics › Re: Bayelsa Govt Owns Terrorists’ Lagos Hideout, Says Monarch by Biggyd2: 9:31am On Mar 26, 2013
After parading them, what happens? You deport them and they find their way back? This government should use some of the money they are stealing to deal with the problem of our porous borders. Many of these people claim to be hausas but can't speak the language. If they don't have any genuine businesses in Nigeria, they should be sent to their countries and not allowed to come back. After all Nigerians are meted with such punishment all over the world, even from smaller African countries. If this problem is not dealt with soon, it is surely going to affect all of us-one way or the other.
Politics › Re: Another Suspected Terrorists Hide Out Discovered In Lagos by Biggyd2: 9:12am On Mar 26, 2013
A presenter in one of the radio stations said today that her friend was strangled by some of these foreigners last week and her corpse was left along the road close to her house in the Kara tollgate area. The victim before her death had been complaining about the activities of these people around her house. They are coming down from the North. Question is how do we start protecting ourselves?

Nairaland General › Re: If Nigeria Were To Have A Fourth Official Language, What Should It Be? by Biggyd2: 5:22pm On Mar 21, 2013
specialguest: Pidgin English would be better. We are already "unofficially" using it almost everywhere. From The high and mighty in the society, the uneducated market women, the educated students, the semi literate gatemen, the school drop out maids, our old fashioned grand parents, down to our very own buddies, almost everyone in Nigeria speaks pidgin irrespective of tribe.
I heard one Prof.Egbokhare of the University of Ibadan speak on this. In fact, from what he and the invited guest to the program said, some students are already taking pidgin language as a course in the university. Saw this: http://books.google.com.ng/books/about/The_Nigerian_linguistic_ecology_and_the.html?id=N7QPAQAAMAAJ&redir_esc=y, online when I checked him out. And for more on his works see: http://arts.ui.edu.ng/FOEgbokhare.

I think it will be a good idea to have a language belonging to all of us in Nigeria that will be recognized globally.

This video is a bit different. Lady threatens to break off from her boyfriend (mid air!)for pushing her off a cliff. grin grin grin

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Iuv__-nyO1M#!

Daredevil Creighton Baird spent 45 minutes coaxing Powell to the edge of a narrow canyon in Utah in hopes ofembarking on a terrifying rope swing. She failed to muster up the courage. So he just shoved her off. Then she mustered the courage to break up with him mid-fall.In the video of this event, Powell can be heard letting out a series of terrified screams before yelling “I’m breaking upwith you!” Baird fell over laughing. Not as much later when he realized she was serious. This was part of a series of videos shot by cinematographer Devin Graham, who says Jessica Powell later thankedBaird for giving her the push.“She came up and gave him a big hug and thanked him,” Graham claims. "They did break up, but it had nothing to dowith getting pushed off the rope swing. sure"
