radautoworks: Okay, now what?
That is the latest average temperatures per month for 10 years of both countries. If you have newer data for Lagos please share. So which one gets hotter?
Lagos doesn't even crack the 90s and Houston is at 90s for more than half of the year. If you want to talk Celsius, Lagos doesn't even crack 30 and Houston stays over 30 for more than half the year. Shoot, for almost half the months, Lagos's high is Houston's low! Are you f***king kidding me, 30° Lagos? I did be glad if Lagos was this cool all year round. U need to throw out ur thermometer,I think it's broken. 30° my hot black a**!!

Nobody is saying Texas isn't hot, but we are saying, it can't be as hot and humid as Lagos. Juxtapose The average temperatures of both states Jan to March 2020. 0 ° celcius is 32° Fahrenheit, the only time Texas comes close is when its raining season over here April to August and that's mostly summer where you are. |

I really fear for this face mask thingy cos bad guys can easily take advantage of using hidden faces to wreak havoc.
I can be out with 2 of my friends and we see a beautiful lady walking alone on a lonely road and decide to harrass her cos we know she can't identity us due to our masks also seeing 3 guys with masks should normally rouse suspicion but with the current trend people will generally loose guard until they come too close, then BOOM!! it would have been too late.
Even Eko bridge wey boys dey Rob cars even without masks, can't imagine really!! |

Carshopper: The government can not sustain this measure. The baised distribution will keep bringing up chaos.
I believe government should call off the lockdown... engage more enlightened resources to reach people via media, religious leaders, brand ambassadors on need to use face masks and hygiene to reduce the spread.
Local government health workers should be equipped and brought up to speed on need to control spread within the community, market places.
Every local govt should have a first responder unit within the community where education, enlightened and control of ppe resources to d community is done.

jaymejate: Another thing I'm considering about this mode of contraction of the virus. ABBA kyari was outside the country, he contracted the virus outside the country. When he got back, before developing any symptoms of the virus, he was with many delegates, the elites, so to say. They shook hands, talked, and the contact was close. We have not heard 60% of them contract the virus. How come they were not infected? Most of the people who died of this virus are returnees if you look into it well.
We need to study that mode of transmission. Same goes to Atiku's son Noh mind them, even femi adeshina confessed to being in close contact with Abba kyari after just 2 days before he took I'll. Why haven't they being falling ill too and possibly dieing? |

Someone mentioned, invest heavily in healthcare, I'm lyk [sub]. Investment in healthcare is wat you do on a continuous basis n it takes years before you reach a certain threshold. The last I checked!! Nigeria isn't anything near doing great at investing in healthcare. It's a continuous thing no doubt but all the monies being thrown about would do wonders within a month if we are serious about improving our healthcare. |

izzou: Lol I sincerely pray nothing go happen if the lockdown is suspended. And i dont understand why we think this virus cant kill people here. If its because of skin color, blacks wont be dying anyhow in USA. If its because of weather temperature, Iranians wont be dying anyhow.
Until the government has done enough testing of its citizens, na joke we dey. Lagos state has not even tested 1/1000th of its residents.
IMHO, a disaster is about to happen if the lockdown is lifted.
I really wish ton get my life back, but thats the bitter truth Iranian weather isn't exactly same as naija, Yankee blacks don't get same diet as Nigerians, the former have the worst diet imaginable. Corona virus isn't has bad here as in those foreign countries not for anything but pure mother luck, nothing more. If the virus was so bad, don't u think there would have been full blown crisis by now in Nigeria with dead bodies everywhere as we are seeing in Ecuador considering our humongous reputation for abysmally failing in everything. It's 3 months already since the index case and we still have manageable deaths and cases. Our government are only just creating panic so as to fleece the system as much as they can. |

izzou: I dont even know if its safe to go out if the lockdown is lifted.
Left to me, the government should do more for the citizens.Provide more palliatives and increase testing. But removing the lockdown is a disaster waiting to happen.
The best bet is to lift the lockdown. Increase access to testings, invest heavily in healthcare by standardising the system, massive public sensitisation about Covid-19 and possibly sanctioning stigmatization. Keeping people at home any much longer is calling for chaos. The lockdown has already been partially lifted unofficially cos people are moving about unhindered. If you are waiting for govt or anyone to tell you whether it's safe to go out or not, then u will wait at home forever, however utmost discretion is advised. |

The vehicle left 4am, and the fare was 4k(instead of 800-1300), and the driver was a military personnel.
Corruption will definitely help Covid-19 spread faster in this country People would definitely exploit the system where possible,it's normal in times like this. Wait till Monday to see the prices ordinary nose covers would be sold. Prices are already going up,I bought 300 bucks for one piece which as at early last month was 2 for 50 bucks |

Gentlelife50: You deposit money for the container, after offloading within Lagos they return it immediately the next day. Otherwise the driver or agent is collecting dumorage. But I still maintain it will never be up 800k if you are going outside Lagos. There are several road blocks and other bottle necks where you will have to pay to get passed, several of them. Some trucks pay as much as 60k to get passed at a particular point.this isn't made up stories,it's really happening, the racketeering in that place is crazy. To get your truck from mile 2 to tin can or from Ijora olopa to lilypond then to apapa wharf,u fit don spend pass 100k. All these monies noh dey get receipt o!! |

Carshopper: So we have been thinking the next option available to move persons when given the nod to move about...
We know every one will be conscious of hygiene protocol and also their surroundings.
We will be working on partnering with estates within Lagos to move residents from home to work place and back home.
How do we achieve this, we will be deploying our toyota sienna (well fumigated, sanitizers on board, face mask available for every passengers and strict health safety measures will be in place).
We also have executive sedan that can take 3 persons
We believe controlling the spread within communities can be achieved. Nice |

Maybe there was a reason why that person spent so much. The contents maybe was contraband, or......many reasons sha
But generally, it's not up to that Please don't get me wrong,I agree ordinarily it shouldn't be up to that. But the massive racketeering going on there is crazy and it's driving prices up. Bro,do u even Know how much it will cost you to even return a container to the port or even just going into the port to load? Bros, the inflation in haulage prices is cost pull-the racketeering is the reason for this and the demand is still high.just go anywhere near apapa and see the number of trucks going in and coming out even as u sit at home locked down. |
