Watch and see Bubu will pre-record a video from Aso Rock and announce another 2weeks lockdown nation wide now, no more Lagos and Ogun and FCT.
Just wait by next week you will see
If anyone is expecting government to announce that everything is fine and y'all can get back to work,u are on a long thing.

Govt knows a total lockdown can't and won't work here, that's why there is partial relaxation unofficially. You need to see the growing numbers of people gradually trooping out.Even people are traveling interstate as we speak.

Our government has been irresponsible forever, not wanting to take responsibility for anything. They can't say u can go out cause everyone is really uncertain about the level of danger out there, they also can't say don't go out because they don't want to be responsible for your basic sustenance.

Govt is really neither here nor there on this coro matter, they can't even effectively secure your lives and properties this period. We are really in a mess in this country.

Me I have been going out and I see how unserious we are as a people.lets be wise and let's stay safe, it's soon gonna be all man for themselves.

Madam come and help, NCDC needs your expertise.
My concern is dt what is happening in New York might repeat itself in Lagos. ( the poor dying more of corona virus than the rich if it gets to d poor community) why
Because the poor believes it's rich man disease and that the number published by NCDC is audio numbers because politicians wants to eat money
And then they roam around the street playing about this virus.
My fear is that if it hits d poor in this our Nigeria, you will soon start hearing there is no more bed space , there is VIP bed somewhere which d poor won't have access because man know man or politicians go done put their people.
We've not tested 10,000 people and IDH yaba don full.
My prayer is dt lockdown shouldn't get to June
Have you heard the government is mulling another 2 weeks lockdown? What do you have to say about this?

As for me,I believe the lockdown can't and won't work here in naija cool

As at now no truck will carry your container for 200k even if it's not xmas season. Maybe you are talking of b4. But not now
Thought someone said false earlier!! Wonder why people will just make assertions without proper knowledge, isn't that bare faced lieing?

The person that told me about the 800k for trucks isn't even a truck owner but someone who hires trucks almost every week cos he is freight forwarder and we weren't even talking about investing in haulage business,we were just having casual gist about what's happening at the ports and the challenges they are facing including the massive corruption in that place.

Bros!! About your haulage matter, all I gotta say is plan well and understand the terrain well then commit it to God. There isn't any business without risk!!

In the USA , since I speak facts only... in my state and I assume it applies for other states too ... there is a company conjunction with uber called GETAROUND .This company leases out cars for uber on weekly base. I think am not sure exactly the weekly lease is , I think it is $250 a week for uber...

A very good friend of mine uses them.. He tends to use them more often when his personal car is at the shop . So he goes through uber to get that rate of $250 rental .. He said the company leases 700 cars weekly for uber .. He said some people don't want to deal with using their own cars and putting high miles ,so they lease from the company for a week.. Others have car issues, and while their cars at the shop they lease from the company..

Keep in mind Yankee mechanics are not cheap at all ..so people prefer to just lease for uber.. But 700 cars weekly that is a lot...
That's what I was driving at. Rental business model isn't entirely bad and it's proven to work often times, I even know a company that rents out about 1500 cars.

Asides mechanical issues to the old cars we all use here and considering our peculiar environment which can be overcome by a sane, tactful, honest and hard-working mind. What i think the major impediment to wide range successes in this business is the wrong mindset many of us- partners and drivers bring into the trade.

Everyone by default will instinctually seek ways to exploit a system to their advantage if such opportunities arise. Many of us see e hailing as a gold Rush, others see it as a major means of livelihood, others are downright criminals.

The bottom line is many of us have the wrong attitude and are absolutely bad business people.

The cash flow aspect is the more reason I don't think of leaving transport business. But I don't just like the ehailing is structure.

Note. There is good money in ehailing but I don't just feel like investing huge money in it. I prefer monitoring one truck than to monitor 4cars and driver wahala. And you make more money in haulage than ehailing. That my opinion though
I heard that hiring a truck from the port to anywhere in Lagos goes for as high as 800k presently? I was wowed shocked

That very correct I have done this ehailing for a year now and I can say. That is okay if you are driving yourself.

If I wanted to invest 3 or 4 cars in this business I will have done that long ago. Haven said that am wotking towards going into haulaging next year. I just hope this pandemic shit is over as soon as possible.

I will I will be starting with one truck that can covey 20ft CONTAINER. AND strickly within lagos. This is what one of my inlaw is doing for 4 years now and his cashing out big time.

So I will like us to also look into this line of investment. Because breaking even with ehailing do not seem possible.
Every business has got it's peculiarities, same haulage that your inlaw is doing well at is same others have lost out, same ehailing many are complaining about is same others are doing well at with multiple cars.

Transportation business in naija is still one of the best passive income earner out there, even people managing okada or Keke still makes money.

You are better off in e hailing fleet business if you have other sources of income like a business or even paid employment. It shouldn't be your only source of income even with say 3 cars. The key thing is the cash flow it avails you and trust me ,there ain't too many businesses out there that guarantee that

P S* if properly managed of course!!

Please do not take the advice of having two or three cars as the best way of making money. Having two or three cars in the unpredictable and dicey world of e-hailing in Nigeria is nothing but death-dealing. Kindly disregard it, it's a very naive advice.

Someone that has one car that he is managing and driving himself is going to be making more money than the guy with three cars, that sits on his ass and waits for 300k a month. That's a fact.

If you have more money to invest while you are on your one car hustle, please diversify into other businesses. Having two or three cars in this business does not guarantee more income, looking at all variables and heartaches. Take my word for it.
With the contemporary e hailing business model in Nigeria. You are partially right. However I feel many of us are doing it the wrong way.

There are also car rental companies abroad that people use for e hailing and it works but here the reverse seems to be the case.

In other words the government is dumb and stupid for taking an approach of levity from the beginning. By the time they spend all the national budget money for 2020, 2021, 2023 to 2030 together combined to fight Coronavirus in 2020 alone, they will wake up from their stupidity. 14 days lockdown so far was a waste. The current 14 days lockdown we are in will be another waste because the fucking GOVT lacks people with sound critical thinking ideas that can curb the spread. If I was the governor of LASG , I would do a better job 100000% than what we have now. You can't just shut down without testing, they should have bought at least like 100 million test kits, distribute it like 2 million per LGA and LCDA, then enforce a lockdown. Have LGA testing units go out and test people from house to house, collate the results, then you know the areas that has a high rate of Coronavirus and those that don't. Then you shutdown those areas within the lockdown, nobody goes in or out. Other areas with no cases are opened up and people continue living their lives but with safety guidelines of no mass congregation, compulsory facemasks or ppe when going out to work or anywhere, social distancing, no public transport allowed, only government transport (BRT etc) so that they can enforce and monitor the social distancing compliance when people are going from one place to another, while the state remains on lockdown from international and local travels, nobody is allowed to enter Lagos without going through a 14 days quarantine at a govt isolation center. Then those areas that you have shutdown under the lockdown, you concentrate on distributing relief materials and money to the people there. The infected ones will be evacuated to the isolation center for treatment, and mass decontamination of public spaces, houses and homes within those areas are carried out. You treat the State as if it's a computer programme and you execute it in clusters. Like you are doing programming up to down and down to up, YOU CONQUER THIS VIRUS BY RUNNING LIKE AN INTERPRETER THAT TAKE THE CODES LINE BY LINE, LOCATION BY LOCATION, YOU CAN'T DEFEAT IT BY ACTING LIKE A COMPILER THAT WANTS TO RUN THE CODE AT ONCE. That's what they are doing now and guess what? SYNTAX ERROR everywhere. Over 300 cases in Lagos now and the government is still sleeping
They know what they are doing,it's all still a game to them,I just hope it doesn't backfire soon. I totally agree with you that the lockdown is absolutely unnecessary and a bloody waste of time.

They had the chance to have quarantined compulsory all those coming into the country which would have been cheaper than what we have now.

They had the chance to ramp up capacity of PHCs to enable them carry out testing so as to cover a wider range of the populace

They had the chance to provide palliatives for the vast number of vulnerable person's so as to enable it by manage the lockdown they imposed

But what do we have, ineptitude, politics and self aggrandizement everywhere angry

FYI at least here in Houston, Nigerian men are targeted by the women for immigration scam because they spend oodles of money on foreign women.
The Nigerian man will pay whatever amount to get that foreign residency as it's a pivot for him to access better opportunities. Juxtapose that Nigerian with the American man 5 to 10 years down the line, then tell me who would be better off.

One had foresight and seized it,the other will remain indolent and would never break a sweat to change his status.

Okay. Let's agree with this statement. Then Biafrans and those in the Delta basin should stop playing the victim as a defense for their self inflicted fails.
I think the circumstances are different. The Biafra question in itself is a self recognition problem which isn't directly in the hands of it's nationals and not manifestly tied to their fundamental existence and life choices. Thereby making them one of the most ingenious and naturally industrious nationalities on Earth.

The African American dilemma is rather circumstantially ideological. Many have been brainwashed with the mentality that they are victims of inequality, and they are naturally ordained runt of the litter by natural selection.

Their self defeatist stereotypical mentality degenerate as it is becomes a norm to them. They blame every one else but themselves with their delusional self entitlement myopia.

HealthRe: Osun Records Six New Coronavirus Cases by Bigleaf1006:
maasoap:
Just protect yourself and your family, all this doubting won't do you any good. That's one.

Two: most of these guys that were tested in Osun state were not seriously sick, just that virus was in their system. They didn't require serious medical help, most of them could be described as asymptomatic patients. And all of them contracted the virus around the same time, probably in their buses. That's why their healing was almost around the same time.
You said 50% healing not recorded even in Lagos? Just listen to yourself! Almost 200 cases in Lagos and just 20 in Osun state and you want their discharge percentage to be around the same rate!
Again, most of the Lagos reported cases are recent, discovering over 10 cases almost everyday. When Osun haven't discovered any in the last 12 days!
Again, some cases in Lagos were being discovered too late or almost too late. Like the one in the link below:

https://www.facebook.com/NC.AYAFOR1/videos/652102335583197/?app=fbl

The 67 returnees being quarantined in Lagos right now have almost 58 Osun indigenes among them. Few that will tested positive among them would have pushed Osun figures a bit higher but that's Lagos state problem for now.
My conclusion: in Nigeria, like play like play, the figure is increasing everyday. Whether it is a lie as some of you would want to believe or it is the truth as some of us believe. The truth is that if care is not taken, it might get to a stage where it will be audible to a deaf and clear to the blind. At that point, even corpse won't see people evacuating it on the streets. If that's what you guys will prefer to see before believing this shiit is here with us, I will say, just brace yourself up
You keep eroding the fact that I never said covid19 isn't in naija.

. It's really real no doubt but I will tell you for a fact that there are more lies than truth about it in our own country.

Check out Bauchi, a state that even the number 1 citizen claimed to have had the virus could not even bother to lockdown his state. Your guess is as good as mine that he knows that it isn't as serious as our government wants us to believe.

Same as katsina where mosques have been opened for prayers despite also earlier claiming they had a confirmed case.

My point is, an alternative to a lockdown should have been sought, people are really suffering and the ripple effects are beginning to manifest.

Focus more on sensitising the people on protecting themselves and practice social distancing, they can make laws on masks and gloves or even vehicles or buildings should not be crammed as it's done in Sweden, Taiwan and even China.Let people go out, coro isn't going to go away any time soon!!
