Don't mind them. Nigerians look first at the personality before deciding whether to judge them or not. My thoughts too. Most are consensual and only turn to rape when they're stumbled upon by a third party which I think happened here. nkemdi89: They should stop this nonsense, every sexual act isn't rape, besides women always have crush on handy men and artisans and seems to be friendly with them whenever they are around, I only see parents who doesn't like the choice of man she had the sexual act with . if she isn't underage and she cum that isn't rape but a sexual escapade that didn't end well. Just watched the video, this is completely wrong who are they to proclaim someone rapist, without any judicial intervention, this is blackmail and intimidation . |

Thank you jaaare. Marriage is all about love. If you love your man for better for worse, then don't run your mouth at every provocation and men don't either Tamass: Usually, when I read tales of domestic violence, especially when i see a woman battered and bruised, i am quick to feel pity for her, and by default blame the man for being an 'animal'. I hate wife beaters with all my heart. But today's experience actually changed my view.
It started around 7a.m this sunday morning. My neighbor whose flat directly faces mine was washing his vehicle outside. I have never known him to be a violent man. He and his wife always argue and quarrel, but it has never been in the open. Just raised voices and exchanging unkind words. His wife walked in through the gate leading to the compound. As soon as she saw her husband, she started screaming, 'dirty man' 'pig' and some other obscenity in their local dialect. He was scolding the man for not wearing a slippers outdoors. He walking on water barefooted. The man told her to keep quiet and get him a slippers to put on. She continued on top of her voice. She insulted daylight out of the man. There was nothing this woman did not say, from the size of the man's joystick to the number of minutes he stays in the bedroom. Out of anger, the man poured the remaining water he was using to wash the car on her. She ran at him and gripped him by the collar almost choking him. At that point, myself and other neighbors who have been watching ran out to put an end to the fracas before it got out of hand. It took alot of pleading before she eventually let go and went inside. The man just stood there, i could tell that he was really embarrassed by the things his wife said. We advised him to be a man 'you know say na so women be na'.
Not up to 10 minutes later, the man started banging on the door to the house. His wife refused to let him in. She insisted that he must go and wash his feet thoroughly before entering the house, but there was no water outside anymore. The man shouted at her to bring water for him to wash up, but she kept insisting that there would have been water if he hadn't poured it on her. A shouting match ensued again, this woman continued her verbal assault. At about an hour later, when it was time to go to church, she came out all dressed, not knowing that her husband was around the corner. He came from nowhere and landed a slap on her cheeks. She swung her bag at him, and a piece of metal from the bag cut his Jaw. This man descended on his wife with series of slaps. She fought back violently. All the while i was observing through my window. She dipped her hand into the man's eye, and punched him several times. The man seemed to lose it completely and aimed a blow directly at her jaw. The woman screamed, next thing i saw was blood oozing out of her mouth. I ran out of my own apartment to calm things down. Behold she had lost two teeth. When we all came to separate them, the woman started wailing uncontrollably, saying that her husband has killed her. With the blood in her mouth and everything nobody even spared a thought for the man. I could see finger nail marks all over his face. His jaw was a bit swollen too.
I personally drove the woman to a nearby health center so they could clean her up. As we entered, we were greeted with questions 'wetin happen?' 'na accident'? She started crying and narrating how her husband wanted to kill her this morning because she insisted that 'he must wash his dirty legs before entering the house'. The Nurses there started berating men in general, with each person narrating different experiences of domestic violence they had encountered. They were all full of sympathy for her. It was the general assumption that the she married a devil as husband. I just sat there listening to them demonizing men and wondering. The husband even called me while at the health center to know if it was serious. He sounded really worried. He wanted to drive down to meet us. I just discouraged him from coming, because his wife has already made him out to be a devil here Whenever the story of domestic violence is told, it is only narrated from the woman's perspective. We often see her in tears, with bruises all over. She plays the victim, because she is the one that usually ends up with bruises, even if she may have delivered the first punch. We hardly hear the man's side of the story, we don't perceive his emotion, he hardly has any physical scars from the encounter, so we assume he wasn't hurt. He is always the violent one, because he won't let you know that a woman's words broke him, he won't gather a crowd a to tell his story.
I'm totally against domestic violence, whether physical or verbal. I believe two people who claim to love each other should be able to settle issues amicably with resorting to abusive language and physical confrontation. If your differences are irreconcilable, then end the damn marriage and let everyone go in peace. I think the real beast is the man that will descend on a woman at the smallest provocation. But as a woman, If you instigate a physical confrontation, either by words or action, make sure you win the fight that ensues.
Next time i read or hear about domestic violence, with a picture of a battered and bruised woman, i won't jump into the 'Men are beasts' wagon, not untill i know the full story. Copied. |

Are they not humans? Why judge them by they work of their hands? CAN is just rubbish! Mrop: CAN criticises churches for inviting Nollywood celebrities, musicians and comedians to boost attendance
The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN has criticised the attitude of some churches, especially in Abuja, in inviting secular celebrities and entertainment stars to boost attendance at their programmes.
The General Secretary of CAN, Musa Asake, condemned the new trend saying it would only distract people from the teachings of Christ. He said rather than the ‘‘church learning from the world, the church should be imparting the world.’’ The trend It is now common for some churches to publicise upcoming programmes and services by printing massive bill-boards and circulating posters, bills, fliers to announce the attendance of actors, musicians and other celebrities at such events.
At times, local and international gospel acts are invited alongside these entertainment icons to boost attendance.
Early last year, two churches, Action Faith Int’l and Prevailing Power Assembly in Abuja invited Nollywood star, Patience Ozokwor and Osita Iheme (Paw Paw) respectively to some of their events.
Also, last year, House on the Rock Church invited Akpopororo, a comedian, to its annual programme, ”The Experience”, also to perform. And most recently, Firehouse Church, Nyanya invited entertainment stars, Ini Edo, Desmond Elliot and Osita Iheme in August and actress cum comedian, Funke Akindele (popularly known as Jenifa) in September.

Sorry i'm not brainwashed! Let me tell you this, when the people are deprived and in poverty, they tend to look elsewhere for other options. Religion is one of that option many believe would give them hope. Look around you, 99% of those who go to church daily are busy praying for daily bread and paying tithes because they're being brainwashed that would improve their living standard. Same thing is happening in the north and under the guise of religion. If you believe they've been indoctrinated, why are the likes of Sanusi, El-Rufai and others not strapping up for the religion they so much believe in and have been indoctrinated? Why are their children not strapping up? Why the children of the downtroden in their society? Simple ....because give that boy or girl N1000 and promise them you will take care of their families for life, they will strap up for you. Agreed they have leaders who have failed them and are still failing them, directing the World Bank to concentrate more in the North is only repeating the obvious - almost 90% of aid goes to that region to cater for other sectors. No one is happy what is going on the country but if there's peace in any of the region, it would better for us all. Bad as it is, the north still cater for 90% of the food in the country today .....but they live in abject poverty. Lets think again. awa: Young lady you sound as brainwashed as those youths you claimed were given ridiculous amounts with promises just for them to strap up.
What those youths are actually doing is not because of money but ideologies which they have been indoctrinated with. One thing you should understand is that the Northern Nigeria despite all the years of their elite leadership have continued to underdevelop their common people but rather indoctrinating them with false beliefs.
Insurgency in the north is not a result of economic underdevelopment but deliberate outcome of age longed indoctrination of the common class. And truth be told, this cannot be resolved without giving the common class the sound education that would help them acquire self dependency.
It's better you understand the genesis of the northern insurgency instead of coming out to defend your PMB action.
Mind you if the APC boy should post this means other Zombies would soon be liberated. |

That request was tactical to help defeat Boko Haram. I know people would read political meanings into it but then the best way to defeat terrorism is human empowerment.
The youths in the north are being given pittance and ridiculous amounts with promises just for them to strap up. Imagine if they were empowered to do business and fend for themselves... Would they want to strap up? No!
I agree they need to extend to other parts of the country because many youths are out of employment hence their ability to agitate and easily deceived to embark on fruitless ventures. |

This is not feminism or whatever you want to call it ...it is simply common sense. What if the delivery was through Cesarean Section? Would you still want your wife to be pounding yam for you at night or waking up at odd times to change diapers instead of resting? You need to think stright and this is not about age dear! oya lets move to the next section: a woman who can wake her husband up to change diapers can as well wake him up to put beans on the fire. feminism brought about weakness in men. just imagine the ideas that are formed in your head!!! marriage with someone with that mentality will be too difficult for a proper traditional man. you will kill him with oyibo! you will cage him with feminism. he will be emasculated, domesticated, mumulized, and pusssy- whipped |

You captured my exact thoughts there. 1. Why were the police details not with Davido at DNA? It means they still had his permission to be at the Shisha Room 2. When the police details escorted the guy's car to the Hospital, did they make any attempt to contact the hospital or did they make a formal report to the police station closest to them? 3. At what time was Davido informed of the guy's death and where were his police details at that point in time? 4. Who informed Davido about the death obviously could answer in the positive or negative about Davido's involvement 5. Were the late DJ Olu and Chime present at the Shisha Room? There might be a connection to their own death too. Very possible Targbo died choking on his vomit or siting down with his head in an awkward manner after getting drunk Parents should allow their grown ass children answer for their deeds. Soon we will be seeing SANs defending Davido and oppressing the deceased family. NOTE: I'm not condemning Davido or judging him for these deaths but he need to fully absolve himself of all these. benuejosh: Hmmm. "...merely helping a fellow human being who was in need of help."
>So Davido's Security details didn't follow him to the other two places he went to? I.e Oniru Beach and DNA Night Club. They sat back while their Boss moved to other places? Because, it was while Davido was at DNA that he heard about the death of his Friend. Supposedly, he should have been with his Security details at DNA night club too.
> Or they left their Boss at DNA to go back and help Tagbo's friends take Tagbo to the hospital since Tagbo was Davido's friend. And if they left, on whose permission? Or left without letting their Boss know they were living to go help a soul?
>Are they also trying to say that Davido's Security details never bothered to know the personalities who drove Tagbo in his car to the Hospital? If they do, then who are they?
> Davido, did the security details leave or stay back without your knowledge? If they stayed back? How sure are we that it's not his security details who told him Tagbo was dead. If they told him he was dead, the next questions he would ask would be this, "How come?" "Guy wer i just live? Wetin happen?" "Wetin kill am?." And am sure they told him.
> So Davido, what/Who Killed or How did Tagbo Die?

It is the responsibility of both parents to cater for the needs of their new born baby and not solely on one or the other. Babies can be too worrisome in the early days and for their survival, the man needs to lend a helping hand at times for the woman to take a rest and so they alternate. I see nothing wrong in he waking up the man to help change the diapers or bath the child if necessary ....why the hassle? It's not demeaning but rather the show of true love and oneness. Wonder why Nigerian men always see it as an issue to either help with house chores, washing their wife's undies or anything that has to do with their wife being a woman And funny enough these same set of people would be ready to want to off a woman's pant so e go be ... #NanSense Kokaine: she will soon get used to him bathing the baby. one day she will even wake him up from sleep and tell him the baby wants to bath or the baby has pupuued |
