They should rather be quarantined for 15 days and if no sign of covid-19 then they should be released to the society and Lagos at large.
The constitution guarantees them that.. If you think so, why are the northern states deporting or repatriating almajiri back to their various states? Na person wey dey alive dey follow constitution.... |

1. They imprisoned and killed the Doctor that first raised alarm about the outbreak. 2. They said the virus wasn't airborne. 3. They agreed the death was underreported which they later upgraded to 50% more.
They could easily enforce mask and lockdown because they run a totalitarian government. Trump caused this whole thing, when you have a world leader who don't know his position that's what you get. If he had responded same way Obama responded to Africa when Ebola broke out, this virus for don turn history. |

This corona virus affects the rich more than the poor or because we get to hear about that of the rich? Because they have access to testing more than the poor. How many of the poor have been tested? There re reports were the poor can't even locate the testing centre or they re turned back, so you can't be tested when you don't have access to the test kits |

When our children read the history book about this pandemic in the future, Trump bad decisions and indecision will surely be obvious. He failed as a leader. Forget all his marcho man antic. He doesn't have the moral justification to point accusing fingers at others. Yea, he failed to realize US is the world leader and he failed to take responsibility as the head of the world leader. Imagine he said "it's a hoax", later he said "it will just disappear like that". Last week he said disinfectant will work on it. awesomely: At the initial stage, WHO underestimated the impact Covid - 19 could cause among nations.
Notwithstanding, efforts should be concentrated on getting a vaccine or cure as quick as possible.
This is not the time for pointing fingers of accusation, his resignation will not cure the already infected. Trump failed, he played politics with it at the initial stage that's why we re here today. Also the team Obama set up he disbanded them. That guy to me is responsible for all this nonsense not even WHO. He ignored all the indices |

etrange: Please, number 3 is wrong. The $5000 could be earned outside Canada. If you arrived recently and have worked before the pandemic, you could still apply provided you earned up to 5k last year regardless of where. Thank you for that input, I will have to confirm that. I have seen someone who did not meet these guidelines but have received once. He didn't apply the second time because he was told when he went to file for his tax that he will requested to payback when the time comes. Let it not be that will be the case of those that fall within that your category. For now they ain't really verifying because it will slow down payment but before the next tax filing, they would have completed the verification and those who didn't meet the guidelines will be required to pay back. Thanks for your contribution. |

I decided to put up this post to enlighten Nigerians so that they won't be deceived about the palliatives given to Canadian residence. You must meet up with certain criteria before you will be eligible. It's not being handed to everyone. It's true there is a $2,000 monthly palliative for Canadian residence but below are the criteria to meet; 1. Residing in Canada and must be at least 15 years old. a. You must not be a citizen or PR to qualify for the package. 2. Those who have stopped working because of reasons related to Covid 19 or are eligible for employment insurance regular or sickness benefits or have exhausted their employment insurance regular benefits or employment insurance fishing benefits between December 29 2019 and October 2020. a. Must be laid off because of the crisis. b. Employment insurance (EI): This is another employment benefit you qualify for when you loose your job not because you quit. You must have worked a total of 600 hours before you can qualify for EI. If you have lesser hours, you won't be qualify. Note that you pay for EI just like tax on ur paycheck. 3. Who had employment or self-employment income income of at least $5,000 in 2019 or in the 12 months prior to the date of their application. a. Meaning those that came to Canada late last year till before boarders were shut won't qualify and till now they will stay without any income. All they would wish for is for the crisis to just end so they can start their life. 4. Who have not quit their voluntarily. a. You won't be qualified if you were fired or resigned yourself because there's a report your office will submit directly to them.
You can add yours or correct what you feel is not too correct. Thank you.
Lalasticlala please take this to front page so as to enlighten Nigerians for them not to be deceived again. |

Dpharisee: The reality is that if an African scientist develops a cure like Senegal and Madagascar have done so far in treating their patients the western media will not give it much attention, they will rather focus on vaccines to make money for their big pharmaceuticals.
It was in the process of experimenting with African green monkeys that HIV came about and they claimed that AIDS originated from Africa. I am also sure they resorted to monkeys because of the exposure of their initial plan to test the vaccine on Africans which made Africans to be on guard and at alert.
Nothing matters to these people except developing a vaccine and forcing it on everyone just like we are forced to take yellow fever vaccination before you can travel out with Nigeria passport. Your 3rd paragraph actually spoilt ur right up. Have you ever been forced to take any vaccine? Even polio, were you forced to take? |
