Youngsage: Don't get yourself worked up over nothing. It's normal for all goods shipped by DHL to pass through customs... That doesn't mean you'll be charged. Funny all items I have ever shipped through DHL to Nigeria passed through custom and I have never been charged.. Even when I got a notebook from gearbest. All were delivered free. But if you're receiving international shipments via DHL outside Nigeria, it's almost 100% certain you'll be charged in those other countries. Guess it's cos they have working system and tax laws |

henry007: Yes, depending on the charging source and the power the usage scenario is drawing. Try charge your phone with a laptop off, then compare it with charging the phone with the same laptop while playing pubg It's very possible that the phone will not charge or may even die on you while playing the game, but will definitely charge when switched off. This is basic physics and its surprising coming from a tech reviewer that it's a myth 9 Likes |

fibonacci2526: Yes o! Cos when our phones can take mind blowing pictures, the girls go dey rush us But seriously, I hardly take personal pictures with my phone camera.. It's just for my wife and kids.. And gcam is a bit technical even in usage, so I didn't install it on my wife's phone. She's using her redmi note 5 as it is without any rooting /customisation cos I know she's not tech inclined and she won't be able to handle any issues that may result from tinkering with her phone. She once asked me to install gcam, I just lied to her...that her phone does not support it. I already have so much to deal with, I don't want to add technical support for her phone to the list She's using her phone and enjoying it. However, anytime we have s family outing, she always wants to take pictures, so we always default to gcam on my phone as the pictures are way better. Also I think the outcome of pictures also has to do a lot with the person taking the pictures. Pictures I take with her phone is always better than the one she takes. So those saying redmi note 5 camera is poo are actually doing something wrong. 9 Likes 1 Share |

bigtt76: Naa, that's just too differentiate between the 2. Seems the algorithm used by both is very different. Even without using portrait mode, there's a huge difference in pictures taken between the 2. As per bricking.. Besides gcam only really does it's magic in normal lightings. Usually the phone default camera app gives better pictures in low lighting. Anyways I don't reckon with smartphone camera for low lights |

bigtt76: There's gcam and there's gcam There's one with Lens blur and no portrait mode... But the real deal is the one that has portrait mode. That one needs camera2api to work. The one with Lens blur is no different from regular camera app. You won't see any magic we are talking about it that one. |

Gptech: Coming from someone that has a DSLR camera and a photography knowledge, I would say phone cameras are what it, and you actually pay for what you get. However, what google did with gcam, I would say it's unbelievable. I would never have imagined software could make so much difference. I'm sure I would have argued with anyone about this in the past. But gcam has humbled me. Now I can know the limits imposed by hardware can be broken at an exponential level based on software in some cases. You would not believe me, some shots with gcam viewed on a small screen can be comparable to shots on DSLR viewed on the same small screen. Recently someone with an iPhone x had to beg me to transfer the pictures I took with gcam on a dirt cheap Samsung a5 2017 as the pictures I took with gcam was way better than the ones he took with his iPhone x. For most Samsung phones however, camera2api is enabled by default, so no rooting or flashing is needed to install gcam Will I advice newbies to root because of gcam? No. Does gcam make a difference in mobile photography? Yes, a big one! Ultimately, everyone is responsible for their decisions with respect you their phones and the corresponding outcome of the decisions assuming we are all above 18.so if you like use your phone the way it is, if you like install anything you let, it's your phone. But dont come crying when you brick am or blame seller as this is so wrong 16 Likes 2 Shares |

bobo65: I am confused, how can you say hail the note 4 for having a good camera, you turn around to insinuate the note 5 camera is not good? It is a fact and not an opinion that the note 5 currently has the best camera in the redmi series. How your own come different? Even ordinary redmi 5 plus camera can be said to be on par with the note 4, you come dey mention note 5 |

dadaijboy: What is error mode Taxify app is the culprit that fails to communicate appropriately with the GPS and google maps sometimes. Because if you check your timeline on Google maps for that trip that went wrong on taxify, google timeline still gives you the real distance and time covered, but taxify will bring out rubbish and be showing the data is from Google maps 2 Likes |

dru23: I have used castrol before and I have read extensively on oil reviews in the past. Castrol is a good oil, but not as good as Mobil one. Another issue with castrol oil is that it has so many synthetic blends in its portfolio that's being marketed as synthetic oils. You would really need to go through the spec sheet to know which is which. |

GAZZUZZ: The car is the collateral. It's never yours till you complete your payments. It can be taken from you, if you default. But it's really a good deal. Edited.. . But the vendor part is what is fishy. Imagine if Hyundai NIGERIA will be the one serving your vehicle and the bill is transfered to you/deducted from your earnings. Also how will the so called daily remittance to a Skye bank account work? Considering most trips will be cash trips. 2 Likes |

Na wa for all these my people o! How can you say driver brings nothing to the table? If that where really true, then every partner would be driving themselves. It's like a husband saying a sit at home house wife brings nothing to the table. And please don't let us trivialize time. It is a fact of life money always flows to people who have the time to do what you dont have the time to do, regardless of if you know how or can do it yourself You always end up paying for that time. So if I can change my engine oil myself, but decide to pay a mechanic to do it.. I need to understand what and why I'm paying for it. I shouldn't come and say afterall, it's just to change oil, so the mechanic is bringing nothing to the table. And funny thing is the Gazzuz that I know, you can't go to his workshop for an oil change and tell him afterall, it's just to change oil, that you will pay 1k he will pursue you with cane and tell you to go do it yourself 8 Likes |
