looks so, but when you look at the raw image, you'll find out it'll be more detailed on the S9+ than the Redmi.

Especially when viewed on a bigger screen or let's say a TV for example

the bold is what is mostly important for mobile consumption. ie how it looks since a larger % of pictures taken with mobile phone are usually used for mobile consumption such as social media.

and the funny thing is the detail we are talking about, most people will not even notice it except photography buffs and tech heads. i can guarantee you, a lot of people will tell you all the pictures i posted above are equally good and they cant see any difference grin
i once took some portrait pictures with my old redmi note 3 using gcam, displayed it on tv at a family event and most people taught i used my dslr camera for the pictures grin does that mean my redmi note 3 is as good as my dslr camera? the answer is for many ordinary people it is. but the fact is, it is not. so its really all about target purpose and target audience.

i guess we tech heads get bored easily, so we like to find things to compare and argue to kill some time and earn bragging rights grin

Why didn't they use Gcam on S9+?

Anyway both phone cameras are non- comparable.

on the contrary, what i have deduced so far based on many comparisons i have seen, a midranger phone with a top rated camera usually compares well to that of a flagship phone in daylight photography. you only begin to notice major difference in night/low light photography.

I just imagine myself going to police station to report

"Good day Police

I was rushing to enter a bus at Ikeja Along all of a sudden I felt something left me, then I tried to feel my pocket and behold my phone is Missing, but I have the thief phone number please help me track the person, I was using Tecno CX"

One feature I really love about Cerberus is that it can use the front camera to take pictures of the person holding the phone if the person inputs a wrong unlock pattern. Which is usually the first thing a thief does. This is very useful if the phone was stolen in a setting where it may be possible to know the thief.

I also like the fact that you can view call and sms logs, and the people the thief calls with your phone. You can also take screen shots of what the person is doing at any time.

I once used Cerberus to get my wife phone that was stolen from her back in a conference setting by one of the attendees via his picture when he was trying to unlock the phone

Don’t mind the human being trying to play smart with me jare.

I learnt on this thread that he probably use my trip to chase or complete Taxify promo.

Honestly is always the best policy. Being dubious doesn’t favours anybody.

Yes mistake do happen, but admitting it and apologizing for the mistake comes with peace of mind. Yes, the rider you start his/her trip before he/she board your car will be furious about it but coming to pick him/her with apology for the mistake and offering a discount at the end of the trip might get you more than a 5 star.

The truth is the rider would be angry or probably mad that you’re trying to cheat him/her, but believe with deep apology and discount the rider would probably have change of mind except he/she Na wicked someborri (The Rider).

Happened to be once, the rider was furious and felt I wanted to cheat her. I just asked her where she was going and offered her a free ride.

She was shocked, and was like 'really?'. I got 5 star rating from her and she asked me if she could book me for offline trips and refer her friends too.

A driver I know of had an accident, car was with the police for over a week, after negotiations, car was released, on his way from the police station to my workshop, he had another accident, since car was insured we just summed up both accidents in 1 invoice.
A few weeks later he had another accident. The funny thing is because of 40k per week the owner still uses same driver. I'm waiting to see his reaction when he wants to renew his premium grin

Common sense is really not common. grin

Maybe these partner will Chuck it up to village people, and he'll take the car for deliverance grin

Why won't Gazzuzz or Carshopper or Dru23 give a Danfo driver ready to drop assurance a car to drive? Him no Sabi drive? Him no know Lagos road?

A Danfo driver may be able to drive, but he may not pass partners driving test. Driving is not about being able to move a car.

Or what difference between a Danfo driver that has driven on uber and one that has not? Are they not both previously Danfo drivers.

I think ,we should be more worried about getting a good driver who will take ur car as his and very lesser story telling ability..

This is one of the factors you can never ascertain prior to partnering with driver.

That's why period checking of the state of your car is important. Once a week or twice a month is ok

i have a guarantor and a very good phone to use.

Nice one bro.
This is the kind of stuff that's important to me. As long as he can pass other important tests, I see no reason why one should not partner with this driver just because he doesn't have e hailing experience. Someone that's ready to put down weekly rentals upfront. I personally will consider him first compared to someone with e hailing experience but no upfront weekly rentals

I still maintain e-hailing experience is important

Ok, I have heard you.

Wether you have e hailing experience or not, there's no end to knowledge and even the experienced ones keeps learning daily on the job.

Or did you bring e hailing experience from heaven at birth?

When you started driving, are you saying you couldn't make money at all? Or it wasn't possible for you to set aside 35k weekly if you do the general average of 8-10 trips daily?

If you could do that, that is all the partner cares about.

Everyone starts from zero e hailing experience. Initially I was concerned cos I didn't know much of lagos roads. But I quickly discovered that one could achieve the 80-100k weekly benchmark if you're not lazy.

Personally for me, I will never accept lack of e hailing experience from a driver as a reason not to deliver weekly rental. And that's all we are really talking about-ability to deliver your weekly rentals without stories/excuse. It's usually about laziness, lack of zeal, integrity etc and never about e hailing experience.

Lol, someone once said on this thread that experience is overrated.
Not so, those of us who know, know
We've earned our stripes!

Na me talk am grin

It's all about the context of discuss.

We were not talking about driving experience, but prior experience driving on uber in relation to making money.

And I still maintain my earlier stance on the matter.

For me, if I were to partner with a driver for e hailing, my basic criteria would be

Pass driving test
Pass Google Map test
Pass common sense test
Pass Background and guarantor check
Can pay weekly rental upfront or assurance deposit grin

With these, I would easily drop my car without requiring prior experience driving on uber or taxify.

You are owing Uber #48,399.65
You will never receive any credit alert from them with that debt. You are rather to pay uber the amount you and your driver are owing them.
The guys driving your car may not be overworking your car as stated by others. They may be using GPS altering apps to enhance their earnings and they apply it only to cash trips.

Every Driver comes with baggages - be ready to hear stories from drivers on why payment isn't coming through or be ready to hear they popular 'I will pay it within the week'

Every guarantor comes with 'I didnot know he will act that way, I will speak to him ' den the chase starts...

Every police will want to chop inside the money when case is reported

So this circle keeps going round and round. Drivers switch and switch and keep switching.

So security deposit popped up and presently it's working magic ...

Soon guarantors will also be liable to a security deposit and life once again will stablize and we shall move lagos

Security deposits from guarantors is a stretch in my opinion.

What will be the purpose of the security deposit? Is it to insure against the value of the car (comprehensive insurance solves this), or is it to insure against the weekly rentals (upfront weekly payment solves this)

kindly enlighten me

I have been asking myself this same question, and tbh it's not been an easy question to answer. This work is so lucrative if you own your car. I can be totally lazy and still make 200k/month. The only down side is the uncertainty. No one can really predict what this job/business is going to look like in 4-5yrs, we are all only being optimistic.

Is there absolute job security in the banking sector. Can you predict with certainty if you'll still have that job in 4-5yrs? grin

Warning to all Taxify drivers

Please note our policy update regarding drivers who reject card payment trips. Going forward, all cases where driver partners reject card trips will lead to loss of access to 'Cash payment trips', either temporarily or permanently as this seriously affects rider experience resulting in fewer riders requesting which leads to lower earnings to all driver partners on Taxify. Please spread the word #TaxifyinLagos

They are not serious. Until they review their Rider did not pay policy and guarantee payment like Uber does, they should go and sit down.
Till then, anything they say, I'm not interested, even if it does('nt) make sense

My app is up to date, I use iPhone and etisalat network. Same device I’ve been using all this while. What is happening?is anyone else experiencing this?

Do you have 5w20 and 5w30 full synthetic... not high mileage

The high mileage Mobil 1 is actually the best in the full synthetic series.

The major difference with the advanced full synthetic is the high mileage has better protection for higher engine temperatures and it prevents oil shortage/leaks especially for those switching from non synthetic oil to synthetic.

I use the high mileage for my Honda with just 45000 kilometers and it's fine. In fact I use it for my generators too. In the long run, this things are worth the price.

Meanwhile, I have 2 these for sale at a ridiculous price of 12k each.

A major problem with Nigerians is that we comment without understanding context
Have you actually bothered to find out from the owner and the Christian moderators who plotted to have the restriction inspite of the strident objection of Muslims

If you are truly forthright I challenge you to investigate the history of the restriction and post your finding

Are you seriously implying it was Christians that requested people swear an oath of allegiance to Allah before anyone can post in Nairaland Muslim section

Where those so called Christians high on manna? Or you are a comedian
