suyamasta: If I were to guess, I would wager she's lying. So many holes in her story. Is it possible you intend to lock someone in your car, you alight from the same car, leave the keys in the ignition and leave the driver door open? It's more likely the driver guy down to force her out of his car. I watched the video she posted as proof, it was cconveniently edited to her favor. How come the was no audio except at the point where she said 'if you touch me'and then screamed.? To me, the video corroborated the drivers story more than hers. Even when she started recording the video, it was not a video of someone is a panic of being kidnapped. She knew what she was doing and wanted to document to her advantage. Let her release the full video with audio without any edits inbetween |

GAZZUZZ: You never sabi some wicked women. That's when she will claim attempted murder for ritual. She will never mention the heater was on, rather she'll say you parked in a remote location, locked her in the car for her to die of suffocation. She go even add to your wahala be breaking you windshield and she'll justify she had to do that to breathe After God, fear women 4 Likes 1 Share |

Schiphol: You are right,Just saw an option to 'enter destination later' still wondering what's the benefit of that option to the rider or driver except rider is planning to negotiate offline trip which actually do not favor uber/taxify @ in bold...Assumptions simply part of a thought process, no need for unnecessary drama Thanks for the clarification |

julietromeo: Still trying to figure out how this E- hailing apps work, especially from a drivers end. As a rider, I know I had to put in my destination before I am matched with a driver. So let's assume at the point of matching, the driver does not see my destination and accepts the trip. Shouldn't the driver see my destination when he actually starts the trip? Or at what point do drivers see riders destination? How come the driver is claiming he started the trip and there was no destination? I don't think it's possible to even request a trip without setting your destination as a rider, or is it? |

TochiPhotos: You sef, you no try at all. Why include your website link again? When you already know the stance of the mod on this? I don't think anything is wrong mentioning your project once in a while like your said, but honestly some of your posts come across like you're stylishly still trying to advertise your worldcup stuff here. The mods have their fault too in my opinion. It's sad such an interesting diary had to end this way though. 5 Likes |

On numerous GPS issues, we have two major processor chip makers for Android phones ie Qualcomm and mediatek. Apart from Samsung that uses both Qualcomm and it's own exynos chips, Huawei also uses it's own chips It is a known fact that snapdragon(Qualcomm) chips have better GPS performance than mediatek chips. So for uber business, it's better to get phones with snapdragon(qualcomm) chips. Almost all tecno and infinix phones use mediatek chips. I'm not sure if we have any of them using Qualcomm chips, so that may be where the problem lies. 1 Like |

Icecomrade: I don't need to find out something I already know and I have done many times. Although I found out by mistake when my token was no longer working and I decided to make use of their USSD. You can try it yourself if you have an access Bank account. This is a fact and others have also attested to it here. so you should be the one to find out and revert |

acekid109: Sometimes, I wonder what those phone makers are thinking. My redmi note 3 call volume was also too low, sometimes In a noisy area, I had to press the phone hard to my ears. Now that I'm using a custom kernel and turned the volume up, I'm really enjoying the phone. Do they test these values in a sound proof room and just decide its okay? |

Icecomrade: We are talking facts, you're telling me to trust you. Wether the banks know what their doing or not is not the bone of contention here. The simple FACT is with some Banks money from your account can be transferred with such information as stated by the OP. Istead of challenging the authenticity of the news, we all should be happy such information is being exposed so such banks can improve on their security. Gtb allowed last 4 digits of ATM card for ussd transactions for years before allowing use of PIN creation, access Bank still allows use of some digits in your BVN Let's even leave USSD aside, some Banks, all you need to change mobile banking password are already stored on your phone. A smart theif will have a field day. Do you have an idea how many documentations people store on their phone or mail to themselves? Many people have a digital copy of their international passports on their phones which contains their date of birth, full name, etc, the thief has their SIM card, ATM card..what other information dues a cyber criminal need to exploit you? Even when you call a bank, those are the basic info they ask from you to confirm your identity. Most of these banks just accept hook, line and sinker what their foreign technology/IT partrecommendations without putting the Nigerian context into consideration. People should learn how to protect themselves by making use of tools available to them such as sim lock, fingerprint lock, app lock etc. Almost every app on my phone is locked to my fingerprints, a friend recently collected my phone and was surprised my chrome browser was locked. I told him to use ucbrowser that my chrome is synced with my PC and I have saved password to some sensitive sites. |

Icecomrade: Having access to your sim card charges everything. Some of banks ussd banking only require last 4 digit of your bvn or ATM card to initiate a transfer as long as its the registered sim with the bank 1 Like |

alstarmayo: Good to know, cos I have always wondered what will happen to the fees usually charged for the trip. I usually rate the driver low and request for a refund just be be safe. Since it's usually not my phone or uber account, I could not really ascertain what eventually happens to the fees charged. What of majority of people who do not know that the trip had been started? I know this cos a lot of people usually come to meet me to help them book a ride with their phones. You will be surprised at the percentage of people who do so not know the basics of using the uber app. |

What's up with this new trend of drivers starting trip immediately you request for a trip on uber? Seen it happening so many times for it be regarded as a coincidence. Are they now abusing the N400 cancellation fee or Is it an app issue? 1 Like |

We are not talking of targeted ads here, but creating a thread in the travel ad section which I believe was primarily made for travel agents, airlines and related services, or perhaps the rules have changed somewhere along the line. 1 Like |

justwise: But when the OP apologized and went ahead to explain that he created a thread in the travel ad section to advertise And the thread was deleted, you as a moderator did not enlighten him on why it was deleted or the appropriate section to post such ads. I think it goes beyond warning people and deleting threads, if someone is genuinely seeking for the right way to go about things, I believe it's OK to also direct them. Or is moderation all about banning, closing, deleting? 45 Likes 2 Shares |

Frankdamaxx: Xiaomi A1 is stock Android and comes with Google camera by default. As a lot of us have said here, google camera is miles ahead of xiaomi camera app. Also I don't know if xiaomi still does this.... Before their Flagship and mi series phones usually had more options in the camera app than redmi series. It would be safe to say they focus more on their MI series having better camera output so they go to greater lengths to tweak the camera software. I think it's for marketing purposes., the message they are passing is... If you want better camera experience, upgrade to MI series. But once you change from the default camera app on a redmi series to a better third party app, you'll see a lot of difference. Even camera 360 pictures will wow you on your redmi series compared to the built in app. Gcam is on another level. 3 Likes |

scotweezy: 10% per hour is kinda poor for a redmi note 4 with snapdragon 625 in my opinion. I use a redmi note 3 with a snapdragon 650 processor which is more battery hungry and I still get about 8.5% per hour With always on 4g mobile data Well I guess it all depends on usage

Damoxy: It's possible without rooting, bUT you'll definitely need to unlock bootloader and install a custom recovery. I use redwolf recovery. But really, what's the point of installing a custom rom and deciding not to root? In the world of custom roms, they're are so many tweaks for battery. I use a custom kernel with some battery specific kernel tweaks like underclocking and undervolting the CPU. So battery not an issue. If you're not the experimental type, I would recommend you just stick to your stock rom. Good resource for redmi note 3 is the website below: https://rn3customroms.weebly.com/ |
