sainty2k3: thanks for the knowledgeable and informative post. pls from ur experience how is forex time trading platform, how is their order execution and general perfomance
they use same metatrader4 same with Alpari n most brokers.
as per execution, their standard account is currently better than that of Alpari micro n classic , I'm sure its cos Alpari has more clients on dia servers for now. but their ecn is same as alpari ndd. but in my own opinion, i don't c reason y anyone should be trading with any other account apart from ndd or ecn
i don't even go near Alpari micro or classic i use only ndd, same way i use just forextime ecn
just ma 2pips!

jamace: Surely, you will never have issues if you are loosing because your loss is their gain. If you want to see their (red eyes) bad side, just gain $1,000 and they will focus their searchlight on you, to ensure they collect the gain back.

Just run away from them now, except you are an insider there.
i laugh in Spanish.... dude you are very funny, don't tell me you still believe all those old school myths.
me sef don talk that lie before when i was still loosin money...

let me tell u a secret, with good risk management u can b successful with ANY FX BROKER good or bad.
and please always go for an ecn or ndd account that way you are dealing directly with the banks n ya broker just corrects commission.

dimmycent: if am not mistakening i guess fxopen was the company that bought northfinance?? huh huh, i use to used northfinance and alpari back in the days, until northfinance was taken over...
no sir, fxpro bought northfinance. fxopen is different from fxpro. i have used both. infact i have used almost all d popular brokers, una go fear if i list all the ones i have used, lol.
the truth is each broker has it's strength n weakness just like each bank has its strength and weakness.
i just hate it when people try to blame brokers for their shortcomings.

dimmycent: i advise you go for any broker offering ndd account, i dont think we really have brokers in nigeria ooo... even alpari nigeria no be broker ooo na just representative office of alpari for naija.
Any broker that offer genuine ndd account is a good way for any serious trader to start trading
for your info, alpari nigiera (now forextime) offers ndd account that was what i traded with, no requotes and a commison less thatn 1pip. and you have ecn account in forextime so you guyz should do ya research first
BusinessRe: Alpari Nigeria Turning To Forextime Nigeria by bily(m):
firstly i have been using alpari newzealand for a long time even before they opened in nigeria and to prove it, see the attached pix which was a post i made over a year ago. so i know what i am saying and i have had a lot of experience with alpari.

and i must tell you i have never had a problem with alpari nigeria as a broker in terms of execution, deposits and withdrawals. of course sometimes there a glitches which is usually caused by the nigerian banking factor and its usually resolved ASAP.

like the OP, i was also worried when i got a call from alpari nigeria. first thing i did after i got the call was to go online to alpari nz website and chat with d oyinbos there. what i discovered was immediately i asked about fxtm, they asked for my number and told me they will give me a call. this got me worried cos i was wandering why they could not tell me about fxtm on chat. so next thing i got a call from their nigerian office explaining the reasons to me and telling me about a conference which will unviel fxtm to the public. the person that spoke to me was very knowlegdeable and i liked the fact that he dint mince words and was sincere. now these are the points i got from him:

like we all know alpari has offices in both uk and usa and i was told that the regulatory bodies in uk (FSA and NFA) dont like the fact that alpari exists in some countries where their govt do not have a system in place to verify the source of income of their citizens. and i learnt that alpari uk was fined for over 200k pounds for that reason.

i also learnt that d change did not affect just alpari nigeria but also alpari china, turkey, indonesia, etc so alpari in those countries also rebranded to forextime.

i was then adviced to switch to forextime if i still want to enjoy deposits and withdrawals locally in naira but if i choose to use alpari, then i will have to go back to the traditional way of dom account and wire transfers for my deposit and withdrawals in alpari. i have since switched and i dont have any problems.

all i did was transfer my money right from my alpari personal area to forextime without withrawing the money to my bank account first ( this was actually one of the reasons why i believed them cos if it was a fraud, alpari newzealand WOULD NEVER allow a client to transfer money from their own brokerage account to any broker misrepresenting them)

also they are still using the same bank accounts its just the bank name that has changed. mind you we are not talking about small money here so i did my due dillegence very well. i even physically went to their office at allen.

also i discovered that the same people you chat with online with alpari are the same set of pple you chat with online at forextime. so if you ask me, i think the reason for the change is so that alpari brand will no longer be fined by nfa and fsa for the activities of forextime in those countries that alpari existed and had to rebrand to forextime.

and on another note, i think it is high time traders work on thier money and risk management and stop blaming brokers for their shortcomings. as traders we should learn to accept responsiblities cos that is the only way we can improve.

just my 2pip!

BTW, Don't Overdo your Obsession for "Androids". If you can't get a High-End Device with a Powerful Chipset to run the Software, just let it, you'll be sooo pissed with your Phone.
I don't quite agree with you. I do not have a high end device n I ain't pissed with d phone. The I'm using a LG optimum net dual sim android n it meets my needs n suits my pocket. ;-)

earthrealm: the lg optimus net dual i learnt isnt dual standby...n if u r browsing with 1 sim..the other sim is unreachable!!.very bad design i think...even the samsung galaxy duos are still the same too..not dual standby...does anybody know any dual sim android phone..dual standby?
i have done some experiments and most times when you are browsing with one sim, the other SIM is reachable especially when you are in an area with good signals for both Sims.
but unfortunately some times the other Sims signal just disappears. so i actually believe for data, it is meant to b dual standby, but obviously for calls it isn't. so if you are on a call on one SIM, d other SIM is disconnected till your current call ends.
i don't think there is an Android dual gsm, dual active and dual standby phone readily available in the market for now.

most brokers are ok as long as you get your money when you make withdrawals.
a good trader is a good trader regardless of which broker the trader is using.
in my years of experience i have discovered that traders usually give excuses for their greed and lack of money management n discipline, and d easiest target for traders to blame for thier own personal shortcommings are the brokers.
mr edujoy, u nid to fine tune your moneymanagement rules. a 61% dd is too large.

AgricultureRe: Pig Farming Or Fish Farming? by bily(m): 9:43am On Jun 19, 2011
i have been into fish farming for over 5yrs now, although i started with fingerlings production.
i have at no point recorded a loss in harvest because i do my research well.
one of the main advantages of fish farming in my experience is ready available market so i wonder why people said they are having problems selling thier fishes. i dont even have to look for buyers b4 harvest time, when the fishes are ready, i just make phone calls to those market women n within a week or 2 they clear the stock.
the major problem i see with fish farming is too many advisers that lead farmers astray. some farmers dont have a picture of how capital intensive feeding of the fishes are n run into trouble in the middle.
for example, as a very rough estimate just for you guyz to have an idea, a 10g fingerlins will eat 1kg of feed to grow to a size of 1kg spread over 4-6mnths.
now starting with imported floating feeds and gradualling changing to local feeds, d 1kg of feed will have an average cost of N250.
so feeding 1fish to size of 1kg is aprox N250 n you sell 1 fish for N350 per kg,
so profit on 1fish is approx N100.
now imagine u stocking 5000 fingerlins, u will need a wooping N1.2million as variable cost and this is what a lot of people dont know.
as long as you have a good picture and you have the money or resize ya expectations to fit ya pockets, u wont run into problems.
other important factors are stocking density, good fingerlins, good feed and management.

i know want to recommend forex to you . but before you shout ( a lot of people are skeptical about the biz ) , listen read d main points of my proposal below :
1 . take just 50% ( 1 . 5 m i . e $ 10k) of d total 3 m to put into d biz and keep d remaining 1. 5 m in a fixed deposit
2 . you will open an account with a reputable broker i will recommend that has international presence in us, uk, germany, russia and well regulated opening of these account will be in your name and with your credentials so only you can make a withdrawal into only your bank account
3 . i can average between 5 -10 % ROI weekly , so withdrawal WILL be made every week
4 . you will then pay me my commission from the weekly withdrawals made every week .
5 . at any point in time ( i . e weekly that you are not satisfied with my trading , you can close the account and get your money back)
5 . also the same way, at any point in time ( i . e weekly that you do not pay me my share of d profit , i will stop trading your account and leave u to God
so the point is i will not be collecting any money from you aside from my weekly commission, u will deal directly with the broker and you have a very short span of time ( weekly ) to determine weather to pull out or continue so you are not tied to the biz . and you can also be looking for other multiple streams of income with your remaining 1 .5 m or just put it in the bank.

My point exactly.
Anyway, happy to bury the hatchet.

@Na2day
you see why I kept saying that Nokia made the best move to switch to WP7? In the past few months we've had the Nexus S, Thunderbold, Optimus 2x, Atrix 4G and at least 4 more i can't remember. We have the HTC sensation on the way and the Galaxy S II on the horizon. New Droid models coming out too. At the end of the day, this competition for sales would have been too much for Nokia right now.
i do not quite agree with u tex, its just unfortunate that wp7 is not selling as fast as android, but i can tell u if wp7 had been an instant success hit, we will have the same kind of competition we see on android right now. remember almost of not all manufacturers on android also manufacture wp7 fones.
but i definately concede to the fact that current partnership with ms gives nokia an edge, but i still believe d best move for nokia would have been to see meego tru. especially since we have wp7 nokia fones not coming out till 2012, it may just be enuf time for meego to mature.
