Romance › Re: Grace Ajilore: Pregnant Feminist Dragged For Getting Pregnant Out Of Wedlock by bindukwe(m): 1:46pm On Dec 16, 2019 |
MrHistorian: Are Nigerians deliberately dumb or is it just the twitter users?
Being a feminist basically means being an advocate for the belief that women should have the same rights and opportunities as men.
How does the above stop the woman in question from engaging in sexual relationship with men?
The trolling is justified if she's a proven man-hater (misandrist). Even at that, you can't be too sure if the pregnancy wasn't a product of artificial insemination.
But then. . .what do I know!? Its for the sake of engagement. Sensationalism begets engagement. And also moral victory. There's no better feeling than knowing someone is morally inferior for people. It imbues their life with meaning knowing there's someone worse. |

czarina: There's just something about the dark-skinned man's perchant for flamboyance.
Oyibo go tiff, dem go jejely dey one lane but not the black man. You must know say him don arrive.
Poverty truly does things to our minds.
P. S
I'm not an enabler, only stating something most of you already know but hate to admit.
If you do the crime, you do the time. All these flamboyance is a consequence of feelings of inferiority. Flamboyance to a large extent represents freedom to a mind improvised by poverty. |

#President Buhari’s categorisation of Shiite IMN and separatist IPOB has remained one of the most controversial decisions of his government, with opinions splitting over whether a religious or self-determination group could be outlawed under a secular constitutional democracy."
I only want to comment on this.
If the activities of a group poses danger to a state then its only reasonable to outlaw the group.
The argument would now become "what constitutes danger" "What can be classified as dangerous to a state" |

ETWs: I don't entirely agree with this.
I believe creativity cannot be learnt or studied. It is inborn. It can be transferred from a relative to an offspring. That is why you see little kids being creative, when did they learn that?
Imagine "thinking outside the box" to be a comedian.
So being creative is not what someone can learn, we are born with it. This idea that everyone is creative and can be creative is a false one. Its a dimension of intelligence that isn't open to everyone, its something that accompanies your birth. What you develop as a non creative person while learning to be creative is imitation of behaviours that facilitate creativity in creative people. There is something called BIG 5 in psychology. Its a way of categorising personality differences The dimension that governs creativity is openness to experience and not everyone is high in that dimension. You can only act like you have it, if you don't. People high in openness are the creative types, most people are low in openness |

Hoodbilonia: No hate I dont see nothing special abt this ugly woman All trying to act, sing, rap, dress and look like nicky minaj Abegi Then you'd be forced to say the same for half the pop female musicians on earth. Male pop musicians to a large extent share the same wardrobe choices. Same with the females. Its all in a bid to stand out from the crowd. You won't take her art serious if she looked normal. The artist becomes a part of his art eventually. The "everybody sameness" look wouldn't work if you're trying to monetize something as intangible as art. Maybe this is what they have to do to get your attention. Marking yourself out from the crowd makes you an easy target and this vulnerability has value. Which is what is seen in art. An individual baring his soul on a canvass, something everyone fights to protect is laid bare to the public. That sacrifice carries value enough to be paid for. |

O.p grow up would you? She’s an adult for God’s sake!! In as much you intended to marry her doesn’t give you the right to abuse her fundamental human rights. How does his contemplations amount to a violation of her rights? His suspicions aren't out of place, you clearly understand why he will think that. Is there a statistical evidence to back up the correlation between body piercings/markings and immoral behaviour? NONE yet that I know of Should he be skeptical of her piercings? YES! Is that enough reason to leave? NO! Atleast not without a conversation and further observation. |

kevoh: Uncle, I don't even need the picture of the cow standing to draw my conclusion. There is even no need for the first picture. The second one tells the whole story.
I don't even buy the idea of taking home cows for slaughter. What is the purpose? To show everyone in your street that you slaughtered a cow? Too much stress, mbok! Buy the cow, pay them to slaughter it at the abbatoir and take the meat home. That's if they plan making an immediate meal off it. Maybe the price of the cow is at its cheapest there and they live in another state. Maybe they want it to mate with another cow |
Car Talk › Re: Can a full Grown Cow Fit In The Trunk Of Your Corolla? by bindukwe(m): 11:37am On Dec 07, 2019 |
kevoh: Poor Cow! It won't take up to 5k to hire a pickup truck at the abbatoir to transport the animal to your home. Why suffer the poor cow? You can't come to such financial conclusions without knowing the specifics. This situation isn't detailed enough to draw any valuable conclusions. its just 2 images, a cow standing and another inside a car trunk. |

How do you know God is offended? You can't be sure of that. Humans have the right to judge each others actions, isn't that the altar morality lays upon? God's judgement is different from ours, He decides if the person is good or bad while we decide if their actions are good or bad. You don't know anybody enough to judge them appropriately but we know enough to condemn their actions on the basis of what hurts or helps. |

ogongogames: You views are entirely fair and I agree,
Contentment is my happiness, understanding and accepting who I am as an individual has allowed me to make huge strides in life over the last few years. I know my strengths and weaknesses and embrace them, I am not in competition with anybody nor trying to emulate anyone. My goal in life is to be the best version of myself. Which is a worthy goal and a game you're sure of winning. You can't beat others at being them. People tend towards comparisons with people they don't know eg with celebrities or influencers on social media. Which never ends well, you find yourself a supporting actor in another man's play. |
Career › Re: Marriage Or Career Which Comes First: Ladies Question For You All ... by bindukwe(m): 10:10pm On Dec 03, 2019 |
ogongogames: I feel that "true" happiness is lies with contentment in who we are. It's the mental aspect. From my observations, a lot of people are rushing into marriage when they are not even happy themselves, thinking that it will fill the void in their lives. If you were unhappy with yourself before marriage, this won't change afterwards. I've struggled with that word happiness for a while. Its something that we pursue that really means nothing. What can be considered happiness? The positive emotions you feel when something good happens or a mood thing? Its not self evident that life is something to make man happy. Here and there, you feel on top of the world and the next day you come crashing down. You don't need to scratch beyond the surface to find something that will trouble you for the next 24 hours. You solve that and something larger rears its head. If contentment is what you consider as happiness; maybe that's valid but that's not what most people see it as. For most is a constant rush of positive emotions which is never sustainable and leads to even steeper falls |

maximunimpact: Ideologies are not necessarily a good thing, sometimes it lead to needless hardliners within a country. Its the strong Nazi party ideology by Adolf Hitler that led to WWII and the Holocaust. Its better political parties in Africa focus on winning elections and less of pushing for an ideology that could lead to a radical change.
It might shock you to know that many political parties that are founded on strong ideologies later metamorphosed into terrorist organizations, eg Hezbollah, Nazi Germany, Jamaat-ud-Dawa group (JUD) of Pakistan etc.
You should kindly note that not all ideologies turn out badly, but this is Africa, a continent forcing democracy on herself. Which political system do you think will work for African countries? |

No they don't
All they know is jumping from one political party to the other for their own selfish benefit
Hardly can you see a democrat decamping to the Republican in the US because the have different ideology I agree fully, our political parties aren't built on ideologies but on manifestos and promises internally guided by the individual's taste. Which leaves things readily open to corruption and inevitable political clashes. But I think most Nigerians are conservatives, if we are to assess our population by the left and right poles. These poles are mostly biologically influenced. Creative individuals tend to be liberals while orderly individuals tend to be conservatives. And these personality traits control voting patterns, a creative person will most likely vote for a liberal. The US media is dominated by liberals, the media is an agency that requires high levels of creativity. That's why trump has been completely demonized by them. The funny thing is that these media corporations are owned by Republicans and then ran by democrats |

I don't blame them but find it bizarre that one can put marriage before overall happiness. It's like there is more focus on the idea of being marriage rather than what it truly entails. Nigeria is very "clique" society, there are certain expectation based on who you are. I just find it surprising the strong grip it has on people's choices. What should surprise you is the loose grip it has on some people. Also im curious about what you mean by overall happiness? |
