Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Victor Wellington Resigns From RCCG, Exposes Redeemed "Curse Sermon" by bioda: 5:04pm On Apr 17, 2018 |
This is a half truth!. They take the remaining in what sense? Does he mean the pastors spend the remaining on personal affairs, or he means the pastors spend the remaining on the local church needs?. The latter is what is obtainable. Not forgetting that part of the remitted is used for paying salaries of full time pastors from the HQ. Euouae: "He also claimed that RCCG is a franchise system of operation, where each parish belongs to each pastor and the pastors of each branch are expected to pay 70-75 per cent of their income to the headquarters of the church while they take the remaining for themselves. In order word, the church is loaning their brand to them in return for members' money"

Politics › Re: Paris Fund: Adamawa Government Replies Nigerian Who Asked How It Was Spent by bioda: 2:54pm On Apr 07, 2017 |
I think some "Acts" could be domesticated. And this depends on the nature of the Act and its position in the Nigerian Constitution. A good example is the Child Rights Act, which the states are expected to formally adopt and adapt for domestication as state laws. Issues of child rights protection are on the residual list of the Nigerian Constitution, giving states exclusive responsibility and jurisdiction to make laws relevant to their specific situations...It is also likely that this FOI is on the residual list, because if i am not mistaken, Lagos house of Assembly had sometimes ago refused passing same.... OneManLegion: Very rude and ignorant thieves.
You don't domesticate an act. An act is binding on all arms and tiers of government.
You can compel them to release the required iformation by applying for an order of mandamus from the state high court. |

There is a clear cut statement about civilians putting on military uniforms. The laws are there but it's for the poor. |

I really find the conversation very hilarious, especially towards the end and i have been playing it repeatedly. But she was lost in the conversation, and couldn't even reprimand the guy. what if she operates a diamond bank account, or she isn't a banker..she may have been a good victim. |
Politics › Re: EFCC Can Investigate And Prosecute Fayose now: Falana by bioda: 9:08am On Jun 23, 2016 |
Reyginus: Just a little correction, bro. The EFCC froze the Account of Adamawa State Government and not Nyako's. The two are entirely different. Nyako's account was not touched. It's good we don't misinform people.
You see, in this fight against corruption, if our method fall short of due process it becomes corrupting. The EFCC should have gotten a court order permitting the act. Any contrary act, like we have now, is both corrupt and corrupting.
A governor can be investigated, that's true. Where Falana fails is to tell us if it's right to freeze the account of a sitting governor without recourse of a court of law. We shouldn't corrupt the system in the name of fighting corruption. Let's follow due process. .......The senior lawyers who have questioned the freezing of Mr. Fayose’s account on the ground that the EFCC did not obtain a court order have not read section 28 of the EFCC Act which provides that “where a person is arrested for an offence under this Act, the Commission shall immediately trace and attach all the assets and properties of the person acquired as a result of such economic or financial crime and shall thereafter cause to be obtained an interim attachment order from the Court”. The law permits the EFCC to freeze an account or attach a property of a criminal suspect and proceed thereafter to obtain an ex parte order from the appropriate court. |

All Christians has to do is to appeal the judgment. those clerics went to far. if u want your daughters to wear hijab pls take then to surajudeen ausarudeen Muslim college etc not a christian named schools. i think we need to clarify this; Can you appeal the judgement of a case in which you were not initially a party to? was CAN a party to the case from inception? |
Politics › Re: FG To Commence Bidding Round For Bitumen by bioda: 10:45am On May 11, 2016 |
I am afraid, this is beyond the purview of the Governors forum. As a matter of fact, Mines and minerals, including oil fields, oil mining, geological surveys and natural gas. is still on the Exclusive Legislative list of the '99 constitution and as such, is solely a FG's matter. What the Governors can do is to push for an amendment of that part of the constitution, and i doubt if the FG will be willing to relinquish. eBillionaire: Why would Federal Government control Bitumen and other resources that States are supposed to exploit to help resources of the State Governance ?
What is really the function of the so-called Governors' Forum, if they can not sit up and instruct Federal Government to hands-off basic mineral resources so States can grow.
I laugh at this country everyday. States are eternal beggars, they even go to Abuja to ask for permission to build their sea ports and airports and even interstate roads.
Such a shame. |

Osarieme415: Can someone please enlighten me. I find it difficult to communicate a satisfactory answer when it comes to answering the "what are your strength/weakness" question. It simply unsettles me. How do I answer, without giving the impression that I am trying to impress or being dishonest hi , a very good way to answer this question is to do a thorough self examination. Strengths/Weakness may be both work related or non-work related. So you need to sit down, look inwards, and write down those things you can identify. For me, Weaknesses include inability to say 'no' to additional and excess work load, occasional impatience, over sensitivity and dislike for abrupt changes in plan/schedule and dislike for apathy among team members. Strengths include capacity to work under pressure, ability to take up new task/roles without prior/extensive training, active listening, collaborative spirit, can-do attitude ( always believe something will work out fine), always willing to attend to and help solve team members' issues..... etc....and many more. |
