To send or your behalf or u need a template? It's quite simple, dou I did notification of intent. Sumthin like dis: Dear Consular My name is Xxxx( full names) I would want to use this opportunity to inform the Consular office about my intentions. Myself and my family (myself, husband and two kids) obtained a B1/B2 visa last year for holidaying but unfortunately we were unable to travel during the summer holidays as intended as my husband/wife was not given time off work and hence we had to postpone the visit. However i would want to use the visa for an alternative purpose as i discovered i am pregnant and would want to use this opportunity to access maternity services in the United States though I would be solely responsible for my medical bills and the likes. I thought I should inform the consular of my decision since this was not originally in the plan when I got the visa. I would be grateful if my records with you could be updated to reflect this. Thank you and I await your response. Yours blah blah blah Please you don't have to use this o, it's just a guide and I didn't include my passport no make dem no go cancel visa mohammad2016: Dear Friends, could you please help to send a letter of intent for the US Embassy inform them that my wife will have delivery at US, as she took her B1/B2 for tourism when she interviewed, and as I read in previous pages I've to send letter of intent.
Could you please tell about the letter syntax? |

This modath and plenty plenty grammar sef *scratches head* Love the way u align and play with words dear. modath:
... firstty ooo , how ya been? You just bone ya fiful since!
I second telling hubby EVERYTHING, every sneeze, every look....
This aunty thing?, it is one of the easiest thing on earth for me, you don't even need to ask, sisi mi, egbon lagbaja comes with the territory... E NOR REMOVE ANYTHING FROM ME!
My Iyales & Iya okos (the senior big bros wives & elder sis of hubby's) insisted their teenaged kids didn't need it at that time, now some of them are almost 30 & some older, the pronoun "eyin" is dole .... so how do we do? Literacy & civilisation don't make a difference in some families..
Tradition is sacrosanct so when we advise people, we should be mindful of cultural differences.
@TLKmama,
Lucky me that I've never had major in law issues so maybe I don't understand some things, however I am 100% unwavering that Mother & Father in laws are same as our parents & should be treated as we would our own parents... I cant picture many people exchanging words with their parents while their sis or bros is standing right there...
This is not in any way intended to make her feel bad (or worse) but it is what it is..
Girlloom is being harassed & they are not very nice to her but I do pray that the wisdom to keep her home the Lord will repose in her.... |

for the highlighted! Actually liked it before read it thru. Well said dear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bigfido: @girloom the moment I read that you exchanged words with your MIL, a chunk of the sympathy I had left. Yoruba people say, ile oko, ile eko ni (your matrimonial home is where you learn good behaviour).. I might sound terrible to you right now, but imagine your younger brothers wife exchanging words with your mother under your roof.. Would you hug her and take her to dinner afterwards? As a woman, you have to learn patience. Not every war is won by confrontations. Some are won by silence. Yes, it hurts, but knowing when to speak at times saves nine. I am sure you know your husband and from the little I have read, his family is important to him than his wife. The moment a man threatens you with divorce, you need to start evaluating your worth to that man and most importantly, what values the man attach to his home. At that point, you should have learnt how to thread carefully. Your SIL might have attitude and as such it might be killing you.. You could have easily evaluated your position and know how to chose your battles wisely. Silence is golden especially for a woman.
I think now, you should let your family know what you are going through, if they can raise cash for you, great! Pack your bags and leave that house. If your husband calls to divorce you because you sort for your own sanity, give him a clap on the phone and let him do as he pleases. To me, all is not fair with such threats in a marriage. 2) before you leave, apologise to your SIL for the disagreement (makes you look like a fool and cheated yea?, it's a game plan) thank her for the hospitality and bounce. Don't look back 3) head to social security office to log your complains and either ask for another card or a Pin for the one you have 4) inform your husband about the change in the number or that you have obtained a Pin for it. I am sure he will mention it to his sister. If they go ahead to use it and end up in jail, that's their cup of tea 5) Pray! That's the greatest weapon a woman has.
I wish you the best of luck |

girlloom: I know right, all thanks to my husband who kept pushing that I stayed back till our son clocks 3 months. Also the sis inlaw wanted me around for nanny services. I wanted to leave in January to some other place when his mom came over, my husband called my parents that I wanted to put the newborn at risk. He said if I took his child outside his sis home that I should as well end the marriage. His mom frustrated me real good. One particular day in Feb, the mom told her daughter that my son could have been handsome if not for the nose I gave him, I couldn't take it and let out all she had been doing to me, unpleasant words were exchanged, she said yes because I want to separate her from her son and destroy her family. The sister was extremely happy to call my husband to let him know I exchanged words with his mother and my once peaceful and happy marriage turned into something else since then. My God! You have been bottling a whole lot up o!! It is well dear!!! Please be prayerful |

Pele!! It is well!! Please be careful girlloom: My dear, coming here was a massive mistake. I am 30 and this lady is 34, I knew I had entered one chance when she told me to attach Aunty to her name and uncle to her husband. Few weeks after I arrived here, I had a chat with my husband on bbm that I was being treated like a maid, this lady went through my phone while I was sleeping, read the chat and got upset. My husband made me apologize to her for invading my own privacy. Despite the fact my pregnancy was high risk, this lady turned me into a semi maid. Things I haven't done in my own house I have done here. She once instructed me to warm food for her 2 year old, my son started crying and I went to attend to him, she asked about the food and I told her my son was crying, her response was 'so you left my son's food because he was crying, let him cry now' Her son comes back with all sorts of sickness from daycare, she gets upset when I try to protect my child. Now my son is ill, caught a bad cold, thanks to her son sneezing on his face severally. I have had sleepless nights in the past 2 days and will have to take him in tomorrow and pay as we have no insurance. Back to what happened today, she said I was ungrateful because I asked why they opened my son's envelope...imagine? My husband delayed in sending money for his visa and that's the only reason I am still here. Her husband was able to pacify her to let me stay saying what would people say back home. Let me also add that she keeps saying she and her brother were very close before he met me and I want to change him. I plan to change my ticket to the earliest date possible and I am still going to call the IRS. Apologies for my uncoordinated rant, I am upset that I am in this kind of situation. Left my spacious house to come and chop insult in this cabin. |

Apparently they had their ill motives all along. Please thread carefully as advised here cos Yorubas say: "na the beginning of Fyt person dey know...no one knows how it will end" Report it and have it changed asap or dealt with by the appropriate channel(s). They kept feeding you with the sole aim of getting it all back via ur LO's SSN. I just learnt something new that it's not mandatory nor compulsory to apply for the SSN, since I don't intend renting an accomodation, I will just let it be for now. I also advise others da intend to stay with relatives to : 1. do once a week/ once in two weeks grocery shopping for the entire house. 2. Go with lots of foodstuff from Naija, garri, crayfish and the likes. 3. Once in a while... Opt to pay while u all eat out. 4. Chip in convos that states u ain't suffering back home. Please be careful dear, it's even worse dat ur husband isnt reacting, cos it's very conspicuous da he's trying to avoid issues. All the best and do thread carefully. girlloom: Okay house, after reading all the comments I decided to ask my sister inlaw about the SSN. I went to her that I was worried that his card came without an envelope and got a shocker...she said what do I want to use the envelope for? I said SSN is private information and why was it opened, she said they opened it because they could. I lost it and told her respect was reciprocal and it was wrong. She turned it into fight and asked me to leave her house. The husband came and intervened that they held on to it because it was delicate, dumbest reason ever. Unfortunately, my husband is scared of his sister and not saying much. I am so mad right now, I never wanted to stay with his family but didn't have a better option. Just looking to get his visa and return home asap |

My God!! So sorry for ur loss dear!!! It is well TheLeakyTribe: goodmorning everyone. so I'm travelling today. last week was crazy, ended up buying dollars at the black market rate. haven't been able to update on this page sef, I'm behind like 5 pages.
Anyway I want to sound a warning to everyone so what happened to me won't happen to anyone else. Let's be extra careful, not after trying hard in this economy to get dollars one would now tell my kind of story. it's not your portion IJN.
I had a help that was so useful to me, she did so much that I would always sing her praises to anyone who cares to listen. For this trip I registered her for a catering course and promised to keep paying her (N25k a month plus free accomodation, feeding and personal effects as well as medicals when the need arises). I treated that girl like a sister.
long story short, this week my toddler who I'm travelling with has been sick so I've been in and out of hospital and doing all sorts, wasn't able to even follow up with bank hence having to buy dollars at black market rate. Yesterday I took him for a final checkup and other running around in preparation for my trip and she was home helping me get my things ready.
this morning her phone was switched off, I asked her why, she said it packed up, I asked her to bring it let me check what's wrong, she left and I didn't see her again. she just walked out and took a bike cos if she had carried load the estate security would have stopped her.
she left with my Dollars in her pocket. 20 minutes later I noticed she had taken the money. how she found it is beyond me, she must have really searched.
please pray for me, bought 1k now to go with and have money in an account there but still I'm not myself.
Let's be extra careful everyone please. be mindful of whos around you. |
