Who's going to be the Season MVP?
Who's going to win the NBA FINALS?

1. Westbrook / Curry
2. Spurs or Golden State smiley

I don't think you have to remind me of James Harden's incompetence on defense. You will soon tell me water is wet. My point is can you replace his scoring and playmaking? Do you have any player in that Rockets squad that can pick up that slack?

So you would rather extend Dwight and give him a max-deal?
Yeah, tough situation. And there are some teams that are desperate enough to offer him max. Im hoping against hope that Morey pulls in a big fish this summer (hello Durant grin). That might be enough to keep Dwight without giving him the max. We still need a better coach and traditional PG - Harden needs to hold the ball less.

I did not watch the game but i have noticed when they lose, they seem to have a bad day making three points. I might be wrong here but i think Spurs will take this guys down come playoff time. Here is the stats online about top defensive team.GSW is not close(Spurs are number 1) but warriors are number one on offense. A lot of people might not agree with the way its calculated but my point is Spurs are very dangerous. I have been saying it for a long time. Even on ESPN Spurs is number 1 and warriors 22.
I have watched a couple of their losses, and the bad 3pt performance in those losses is a side effect imo. In fact, I think if the spurs tried to lock down on 3pt defense, they will surely lose. Warriors backcourt is even more comfortable burning you in the paint than they are shooting parking lot 3s.

It seems the formula is to throw Curry off rhythm by making him work on defense, bodying him when he tries to go off, and controlling tempo (as few fast breaks as possible). I think this is why a bulk of their losses are to mediocre teams, but teams that have young legs and can play physical for 48 minutes- timberwolves, celtics, blazers, lakers, pistons... Only 2 really good teams, Mavs and Spurs beat them.

It looks like warriors will face grizzlies or clippers in second round. Either of these teams is trouble for the warriors, based on this. I would not be surprised if they dont come out of the second round

Lol you guys are not better than the Sixers without Harden. If Morey was smart he would look for a team he could con to trade for Howard (who is done at elite level IMO)
Tonight is a good example game of Harden's issues - rockets vs mavs. Just now, mavs went on a 12-0 run. Ok, they got hot right? Unless you were watching Harden. In literally 4 possessions back to back, he either failed to pick up his man, switch on a pick and roll or strolled back to defend after missing a shot. Each time, the remaining 4 guys crowded down the paint, leaving a fifth man open at the 3pt line. Which equals four straight uncontested 3s. Equals 12-0 run.

Obviously his teamates notice, because Beverly just gave him an earful after he refused to show on the pick and roll. Sell, sell, sell! angry

I hope kerr starts resting the warriors starters. These guys have played most of the regular season like its the playoffs and they are getting worn down to the point where they have a hard time keeping up with young teams late in the game. If Curry or Draymond overplays the next 3 or 4 games and get injured in the search for 72 wins, boy Kerr is going to look very foolish. The rest of the league will rejoice lol.

Tracy McGrady was asked 2 important questions today at a Chinese interview.
1. Who do you think will win this year's NBA FINALS.
Ans: Golden State because they're currently the best team in the NBA.
2. What do you think about this year's Rocket Team.
Ans: I think this year's rockets team are not consistent, they are not playing together and and not really playing good defence. They are very different from last year's.

I think he's saying the truth concerning the Rockets.
What's your view on this?
tmac was being diplomatic as usual, key word being "playing together". Harden and Howard definitely have chemistry issues, but both know how to keep it on the down low. Harden says the right things until he gets on the court. Howard does everything right up front and while working his agenda in the background. I hope morey looks past his playerrmetrics or whatever he calls it these days, and sells Harden first chance we get.

There's just this annoying things the Thunders are very good at. undecided It's going to be a very serious issue if Westbrook and Durant don't get a ring before any of them leaves. The team just lacks something I don't even know.
Whoever gets Durant when he leaves OKC will be very dissappointed.

SportsRe: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 6:09am On Apr 02, 2016
celtics wow. at one point in the 3rd quarter, warriors went bananas, and the celtics took the punch and still kept the lead. maybe kerr should start resting these guys. 73 wins is important, but the last thing you need is one of the key guys getting injured, they are playing way too hard for regular season right now.

Hindsight is 20/20 but the Bulls for me were never a balanced team. The disparity between their offense and defense was too significant. You had the obvious weak link on defense with Carlos Boozer and offensively challenged guys like Deng and Noah. Thibodeau also didn't do enough to get his team to improve sufficiently offensively. I look at Rose and wonder what his career would be like if he could shoot the ball. Maybe he would have been a lot more durable and an elite player for much longer
Tibs is a long time JVG (jeff van gundy) disciple, and was his assistant coach both on knicks and rockets. Both have the same tendencies. Like JVG once said, he would prefer to watch a game where no one could score, as defense was more exciting to him. Both love to create elaborate defensive schemes with the belief that NBA players should be able to buy buckets on the offensive end.

I could write paragraphs on how JVG wasted a deadly tmac/yao combo, but the end result was the same. People finally realized JVG (and tibs) are defensive geniuses, but have a wilful mental block on offense. Play hard on defense all you want, if you cant score buckets, you eventually get behind by 10-15pts, and now you have to exert yourself on defense and offense every possession - formula for first round exits (ask Tmac and Yao)

In short, I'm saying that bulls team with Booz could have done damage, but just like JVG, tibs refused to be flexible. If you have a soft shooting big man, this is a huge matchup advantage come playoffs...draw up sets around his strength!

yeah, im still mad because the year we (rockets) went on a 21/22 game streak, we had what it took to reach the finals angry
Music/RadioRe: Is Hip Hop Destroying Black America? by birdman(m):
I weaned myself off most of hip hop a long time ago. I noticed that when these recording studios produce music for other genres like rock, country, even pop, the beats are complex, the songs have variety and full of meaning. But when its hip hop, its a simple beat, sometimes only one instrument, with a wack rapper talking about nothing. Obviously someone either thinks very little of the intelligence of hip hop listeners, or they want to dumb us down.

I have no problem with adult subjects, murder, drugs, prostitution..whatever, we know these are facts of life. I was a fan of pretty much any rapper out of the atl, htown or new orleans. But these days it seems like there is a concerted effort to release dog food to black people in general.

Me, nah, Im not playing that. Got into it with a couple of folks just some weekend ago - they were vibing to something that sounded like a a drunk rapping a nursery rhyme, and there was no beat for about half the song. If they werent uhm lol, I might have smacked 'em angry

Wait wait, let's backtrack a sec. Describe the capabilities of your average Boko Haram platoon, if possible.
Mostly barely trained youths (if they are "lucky", the platoon leader probably had some basic training in Libya, Mali etc), carrying a few serviceable AK47's, some dane guns and several matchetes (to "bravely" attack women and children once they take hold of a village). To make up for the lack of suppressive firepower, which those anti-aircraft guns mounted on hilux vehicles provides during major attacks, these youth resort to the barest of military training. Spread out and lay sporadic fire, which AK-47s excel at. It works really well against unarmed civilian populations especially when they are caught off-guard. Its the reason the civilian JTF is often able to equalize them EASILY when they use spies and intelligence to in turn catch boko haram off guard. It is also the reason they die in dozens (sometimes hundreds) each time they run into a professional military force.

Whats your description?

Ok, let's see if Clippers can make it happen. By the way, i think OKC would be the potential team to beat GSW. KD and West Brook are better now, especially West Brook, becomes more mature and play more teamworks with his teammates.

Who is going to be the new coach of OKC?
If you simply compare westbrook with curry, and KD against any GSW forward, I can see how you come to this conclusion. But the reason GSW is this good is not Curry's individual brilliance, even though this is what sportscenter likes to highlight. Its the sets they play and the discipline to stick to their game plan. Even when Curry has a bad day, they still almost always win. If westbrook has a bad day, it is finished.

Westbrook is not really a PG - he doesnt have the mentality and it burns OKC when the shots stop falling, usually in the fourth when you really need those points, but he already lost his legs because he was leaping like a frog all day lol. Durant has refused to get to the next level, that is using his team mates to punish teams loading up on him and taking advantage of that length on defense.

GSW will beat OKC 4-1 in any playoff series. That one game sef, I hesitate to give

Yes I do.I have Russian friends and we argue just as much as I do with the brainless bots here. They are tired of the sanctions and the crippled Russian economy. If you were Russian too,am sure you'd be complaining about the bad state of the economy as well.
ok, cool, Ill take you at your word. I have lived and discussed with native russians - the one thing that strikes me is how very different their thought process is from westerners. Even the educated ones have a reverence for Putin, not necessarily because they like him, but because he wont let them be pushed around by western europe -they feel western europe was always trying to dominate them. How true this is, I dont know, but it appears this competition/conquest of western europe usually overrides any other logic for the Russians I know.

Interestingly, I have never seen cnn or fox feature these type of guys - its always the anti-putin ones. I suspect the majority are probably more favorable to Putin than the news would have us believe. Which makes sense to me. No sane person wants their country to tank just because they dont like who is in power.

With the nature of his injuries they would be dodging a bullet. Cuban for all his shark tank genius has been quite puzzling with his NBA related decisions. Just look at the Rondo trade and how he got phucked seven ways from Sunday
