A40: What is phacking wrong with the Warriors and why are they trying so hard to piss their title defense away? They have enough to get past Houston and overreacted because of a 1pt loss over a basket that shouldn't have counted?
They do not need Curry to get past the Rockets and if I were Iggy, Klay, Draymond and Livingston I would be offended by the team and Curry's lack of trust in us
Durant won't come to Houston. It would be borderline stoopid to come to Houston sans Harden when the Celtics and Wizards have a younger roster and maybe an easier road to the Finals
Horford is a more realistic target but won't turn you to contenders either. Now if you could just move Dwight, Pau would be a solid guy to pair with Harden. You could even get a few solid mid level veterans on board too
Note I do think Harden is a bit overrated but you guys are a D-League team without him to put it mildly
JVG is a bad idea, can't teach an old dog new tricks. You guys need to take a chance on someone new, maybe Walton smh... see as e take pour cold water for my head . Pau/Horford is very possible. Dwight is gone imo. u right tho...the brave thing to do is get a new young coach, maybe a new GM and eat a year of 2 or first round playoff losses. Im personally also wary of JVG. Him, his brother in detroit and tibs are pretty stubborn about what they think winning bball is. I fear none of them can adapt to the new NBA |

A40: The Raptors. Lmao get Drake in there! How did they win 56. They are out-trashing the Pacers rn
Hypothetically who would you get? We already lost our draft pick (part of the harden deal i think) and I have a feeling in 2 yrs Harden is out once his contract is up. Dwight is probably gone this year. I say we have a good chance at Durant and Horford. Pau should be opting out this year I think, so if he doesnt end up in memphis with his bro, I think htown, with its huge hispanic population may give us a second look (same for Horford too). Finally, I have a feeling the GM Morey will be taking a fall for this mess (and he is digging his grave by over-tweeting), and we will likely get a coach that also doubles as a GM or something like that. JVG is supposedly a top candidate, but the last time they fired him in a very low down manner. Lets see how much money buys JVG's forgiveness |

Seems lebron is going to have it easy to the next round. as i remember, yesterday 4/20 is a "holiday" of sorts in cali lol. the cavs were planning to coast in the first round - i think pistons woke them up in the second half. the more PT cavs get, the more they gel. I dont think its enough to win anything this year tho...even ECF is not sure bet imo somehow this first round has become boring...too many blowout wins |

A40: Spurs, Clippers?
A Warriors/Clippers series will be fire! I'd rest Steph the rest of this Rockets series if I were Kerr. Iggy, Klay, Livingston are very capable of handling Steph's scoring load Spurs and Clippers are old school type teams. Like GSW, Houston has tons f players that can play multiple positions, like we have forwards that can play small ball act as stretch 4s, knocking down 3s reliably (Jsmoove, Ariza) - in that sense Houston is a constant matchup nightmare. And I believe this is the direction the league is going - a team of with lots of positionless players Yep, everyone is waiting for gsw/clippers series. I've been saying the clippers will make things difficult for GSW. They will win imo. Clippers ran into a houston team that was hard to prepare for last year. This year, the door is wide open. |

Donlittle: Hey @Roland @A40 @Birdman and @all i heard Dallas wants to pursue howard in the summer, as much as i have a problem with the guy, him not trying to be a winner, and certain things the media says about him, with a coach like Rick Carlisle, do you guys think he can produce? Definitely. Howard has lots of upside. He has some immature tendencies, but he should be thriving in this league. He needs a hard-ass old-school coach that can push him, and make the PG give him the ball. Carlisle fits the bill. But Mavs are our number one rival so if he goes up I-45, men, he will be reviled in htown forever |

Seun: Professor Soludo. Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. Any Nigerian economist who is respected abroad. They are largely in agreement.
First of all, here's a list of 6 economists who predicted the meltdown: interblack.com.
Having said that, you seem to misunderstand the predictive role of Economics. Economics cannot predict exactly what will happen in the future because that depends on the policies politicians chose to implement, but it can predict what will happen if they implement particular policies.
Yes, it drove Russia into recession, slowed China's growth, and strangled India's stock market. care to post linkys on sanusi's and soludo's position? as to your interblack link, look, even a broken clock is right twice in a day. Roubini is a perma bear. And it interesting to note that his predictions have been off since then, so much co that he has faded back into obscurity |

Roland17: I watched it and that should be an embarrassment to the coaching staff of the rockets, they should hide their faces in shame. I wrote a piece in the previous page when i challenged newer generation coaches to play to the strength of the team and their roaster..this has been an issue through out the season and like Shaq said last week, if he was Howard, he would commit 3 consecutive 3 second violations to express his displeasure.
Howard is running the floor, he is demnding the ball, however, he is not being rewarded and this has everything to do with coaching, Coaching in Houston don't believe Howard can produce the volume of scoring needed to win games and that is the nearsightedness of today's coach because it is not all about the scoring. Firing Mchale sent a strong signal - that harden do whatever regardless of the coach. Dont blame the assistant coach for not risking his neck. I think Morey's future is on the line this offseason. While he is smart when it comes to numbers(dude went to MIT), the dude is not a good judge of character. Harden needs to go. I missed game 1, and Im not sure i want to stay awake for game 2. |

Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s president, has negotiated a $6bn loan and a currency swap deal with China, as he continues to search for ways to revive an economy buckling under pressure from dwindling oil revenues.
Mr Buhari has been in China this week, meeting officials including President Xi Jinping, as he seeks to address a serious dollar scarcity and find funds for the infrastructure projects he says will get Nigeria’s economy moving.
His four-day visit signals a turn for Africa’s biggest economy toward China, now its biggest trading partner. Kemi Adeosun, Nigeria’s finance minister, said just before the visit that the country was considering selling a Chinese “panda” bond to help finance a budget deficit of about $11bn.
The deals reached were short on details. Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the country’s biggest bank, and the Nigerian central bank agreed a deal on naira transactions but the size of the swap was not announced. The terms of the $6bn loan offer were also not disclosed.
Analysts doubted either would be enough to ease a slowdown caused by the oil price slump and worsened by policy choices.
The International Monetary Fund has cut its growth forecast for the year to 2.3 per cent, from a forecast of 4.1 per cent in January, and said currency controls enforced by the central bank and endorsed by the president are hurting business.
“They have removed a transactional difficulty for the moment,” said Chuka Mordi, founding partner of CBO Capital, a Lagos-based investment advisory firm, of the currency swap deal. “[But] there is a certain inevitability of having to face up to the facts. The balance of payments remains misaligned vis-à-vis the government’s long-term objectives.”
The Buhari administration wants to reduce dependence on imports. But analysts questioned whether the swap deal would contradict that goal, driving up Nigerian demand for Chinese imports if the naira seems artificially strong against the yuan in trading at the official rate.
“Buhari spent half the time he was in Beijing saying he wants closer ties with China and the other half saying Chinese firms cannot see Nigeria as a consumer market and that trade relationship is currently imbalanced,” said John Ashbourne, Africa economist at Capital Economics in London.
Even more puzzling, he added, was the prospect that China would fund projects to boost Nigeria’s manufacturing capacity and reduce reliance on imports.
“It’s one thing to want to invest in local industry to compete with Chinese imports. But asking the Chinese themselves to fund such investment is bold. I don’t know why China would see it in their interest to fund that,” he said.
A dispute between the president and the legislature over this year’s budget is delaying progress in securing funds for the $11bn deficit. Wariness over monetary policy also means borrowing in the Eurobond market may be more difficult than the government expected, analysts said, leading the government to consider new options, such as the renminbi-denominated bond. http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/0/6e994bb0-0190-11e6-99cb-83242733f755.htmlA more even handed analysis - looks like in principle this is a good deal. Maybe not the best, but I think its better than anything "traditional economists" would have offered |

Ngozi123: First of all, this is certainly not true; read about Nigeria's criminal underworld and I'm sure you'll be very surprised by the names that come up. You're either ignorant or simply selectively bias by believing that to be the truth.
Secondly, just because some Igbo people engage in tribalism, does that mean that you must copy them? If an Igbo man were to jump off a cliff, would you do so as well? Unfortunately, your reasoning is the very reason why Nigeria, as it is now, will never prosper. While the ordinary Nigerians are squabbling over tribal indifferences, the elite are deciding how to share the country's wealth between themselves, carry on... well said |

Curry's rep used to be a flashy point guard, so people would rather he shoot the three than get to the basket. Now that he has achieved demi-god status at the 3, teams sometimes forget scoring around the rim was curry's original skill. Lord deliver us all |
