You are very funny. Where do you think all these "exposes" are coming from?
why did all these "exposes" wait until she was about to become a queen? Exposes in quote - the fact that she had a boyfriend before is not a moral failing as far as I know. All the extra stories about gold digging this or doing that are unprovable, and even the lebanese in question has not stood up to say anything. The accusers are faceless, and keep telling us new, rambling stories that no one can prove, but are titillating enough to keep us attentive, using legit pictures as a hook. I'm not buying it.

And based on how petty the stories are, another woman is the likely source.Men dont have this combo of bad belle and energy. Which woman exactly? I dont know, but I know one of the reasons sensible people avoid polygamy is this kind of crap.

I agree, this article is useless. Breaking the back of Isis by taking out the oil trade with Turkey and stemming the tide of the syrian rebels is a huge win, no matter which way you spin it. This is going to boost Putin's image at home for sure. Their economy might very well tank, but it looks like Putin will survive based on this.

Foreign AffairsRe: Western Governments Knew Location Of The Nigerian Girls Kidnapped By Boko Haram by birdman(m): 4:44am On Mar 22, 2016
This was obvious to me even while GEJ was in office.

Nigeria doesn't have a geo-stationary satellite, last I checked, which means we cant monitor Sambisa 24/7. I think our satellites are mainly for weather and do not have the resolution to identify troops formations at ground level. But there are nations that could have diverted just one of their satellites to us, but didnt. All these guys crying crocodile tears about BBOG, but none actually doing anything.

As to the assertion that you could find this on google maps, that is BS. I myself tried - google maps was useless. For some reason I still dont know, there was no google map or google earth data for those regions at the height of the insurgency! And the size of the forest made it impracticable to search everything. Blaming GEJ is also BS. This was the kind of help he was asking for!

Makes you wonder no?

Hey! It's the Birdman! cheesy

Uhm, Sorry o. Se omo Ile Ife ni e?
I am not Ife, but I am intrigued by his attempt to channel his Ooni power into industry and a ringside seat among the kingmakers (of Nigeria, not Yoruba country). He is just a little older than I am, and I know if I were in his shoes, I would be attempting the same. An Ooni that sits pat, observing rituals day in day out while the world is bypassing us as breakneck speed is of no use to me.

I know you old school guys have ideas of what you think the Ooni must be. But in this internet age, any ruler that tries to have any kind of relevance must be ready to take some hits on social media. The latest is bad belle women trying to ruin a new olori. Nothing new here - it happens all the time, especially in a polygamy. You just didnt get to hear of the previous Ooni's issues because he was less active.

At the very least, let us respect the sacred process that brought him to the throne. Spiritual authority must be respected, even when the wielder sometimes does things in ways you may not approve of. Remember, your opinions are not necessarily the true facts. We all do well to act accordingly

Foreign AffairsRe: Donald Trump: What Does The Mass Support For Him Suggests About The USA? by birdman(m): 2:39am On Mar 18, 2016
Trump is only saying out loud what a small but significant portion of America is thinking. The bad news is, some believe much worse than what he is saying. The badder news is that most of those people have a gun culture - each family typically has enough arms to scare off Boko Haram platoon. What security folks will be worrying about right now is making sure the armed conflict some of these crazies have been dreaming of doesnt happen. Take the protests at the Trump rally in Chicago. Imagine that happens in some state that has open carry laws. That could have turned bloody quickly.

America is land of "wheat and tares". Conduct yourself accordingly lol

Don't let the media propaganda get to you, Trump isn't as bad as people paint him to be, infact to me Hillary is a worse candidate than him, people hate Trump becos he speaks the truth....like the popular quote of 'the truth is bitter' hence the hate. I believe Trump will do just fine as POTUS.
He is painting himself. The only ethnic minority that wants to have anything to do with trump right now is black folk. Wise up.

Guy, it's not about virginity. It's not even about the Ooni marrying a divorcee, but rather the fact that she's still legally married to the Lebanese, as they didn't have a formal divorce.
It's a very big moral issue that the Ooni married another man's wife.
but you know you have no proof of this right?

Gibberish.

The fault comes from Jude, well at least most of it.
That's the truth.

He threw the first blow discrediting the wife of Peter in public, though that is not related to this topic.

If Jude was a mature elder brother, this mess will not be in his family.
What happened to compromise?
Someone might say they dont like your wife, but when push comes to shove, no one is risking livelihood and millions because of who you married. It is funny that Paul is now singing crocodile songs, because he could have killed this beef one time. Paul and Peter are the ones making the money - all Paul had to do was have a neutral stance, and Jude would have fallen in line, grumboling, but he would have had no choice. As it is, the elder, less talented brother has succeeded in bring his more talented juniors down to his level.

When it comes to me, well my parents are Nigerians immigrants who born and raised me & my siblings in America. They worked hard, raised us to know about Nigerian culture, Nigeria, and the racial issues in America because they encountered it from white Americans and black Americans but they also raised me & my siblings how to succeed in life but at the same time told us how we should address racism and overcome it. As a result my siblings and me are fine because we understand white priviledge, the racial hierarchy of America, african American history(from school) and so on. My mom always told me while growing up to speak correct English, don't dress like a thug, work hard in school but you may and will encounter racism but don't use that as a crutch to not do good in school, and to add to that we went to private and independent schools that were predominately white. My parents even screened who me and my siblings hanged out with as friends, and raised us in a multiracial/multicultural middle class neighborhood that wasn't ghetto(thug sanctuary) or in the suburbs(fantasy land). My family knows a Nigerian family that moved out of a rough neighborhood they were in cause of a thug their straight A honoral son encountered in the neighborhood after heading home from school, they now live in a better neighborhood. Even I was told that I will have to work double in my job/profession as a black female but don't use that as a crutch or a excuse not to succeed in life and live in a anti-white mentality. While growing up I never succumbed to some of the mentalities I see many AAs exhibit when it comes to race or think I live in lollipop land like some white americans believe is the reality of race but I have encountered racism to but never allowed that to deter me in my life when progressing.
As someone who is just starting out a family, raising a kid here is one the issues I keep thinking about. The above is definitely helpful in that regard to me. If my kids feel cultured enough to post regularly on a Nigerian forum, I'll congratulate myself smiley

Well to be honest I don't know any Africans close to me part of the movement, I'm Not part of it and I think there is nothing wrong with it either.

There is no mistaken that some black Africans experience racism like african Americans but I feel the way each group responds to it is different. Majority of african Americans see it as a primary problem while Africans see it as a problem but they don't see it as a primary problem(some don't even know about the black lives movement is about or if they know find it as another group being disorderly). To Africans Primary problems to them is not going through poverty & becoming unsuccessful professionally. Plus they care more about the social issues of their african countries then what's going on in America.
Here is the thing though. At some point as an African immigrant, you will probably succeed finally, and start raising a family. Well, that child you are now raising is more American than African, and he/she will be subject to whatever is going on in your city. If you are in a chicago burb for example, you now need prayer vigils so your child survives encounters with thugs and police.

And the problem is so many Africans have never taken the time to study AA history, so when their child start having "problems" in an all white school etc, they have no idea what to do. They are caught offguard, and the child eventually ends up underperforming and becoming a shadow of the parent.

There are many Africans that are able to raise their second generation well, but the number that fail is astounding. Nobody talks about it because it is a thing of shame, but it is happening a lot. And I think most of this could be avoided if Africans, including me would pay attention to lessons learned by people that got there before you.

I now understand fully what Lucky Dube meant when he said "Not every blackman is my brother". It used to fill me with grief when I go on Boxden or LipStickAlley and even educational sites and see the intentional ridicule and contempt for Africans, their culture, language and values by black americans (there is no longer anything african about them). Their deliberate attempt to segregate Africans to sub-human standards. Their will have been subordinated to external demands imposed upon themselves by imagination and anticipated reward for conformity from the subtle racial hierarchy. People who suffer from self alienation, whose human nature and thought do not exist independent of specific conditioned activities. They have mentally digested the conditioning that they embody it down to their very soul.

There was an "Implicit Bias" study released quite some time ago that an African faces about the same range of implicit bias from a black american as from a white american.
An AA could come to nairaland and come to the same wrong conclusion. Using a forum with nameless faces is not a very good argument

Teams are content with Durant and Westbrook doing the scoring, they are daring other players in the roaster to beat them and the Thunder have no response to their challenges.

The Spurs are the dark horses if you ask me in the western conferences, fans have unconsciously ignored this team despite their record, experience and coaching, i think much of that has to do with the Warriors and their pace.
Yep, warriors chasing 72 wins is obscuring Spurs equally stunning record. But then again, they are beating teams that they are supposed to beat, as usual.

Come playoffs, a number of coaches seem to have dialed in on Popovich. If Spurs face the clips, or even the mavs (potential round 1 matchup), I think the outcome is a tossup imo, just because Carlisle and Doc seem to do well (esp on rotations) vs Popvich. Even looking at the playoff charts right now, there is a good chance they could meet OKC in round 2, a crazy, undisciplined OKC, but a bad matchup nonetheless

i just found out yesterday also, that was why i was confused lol. But i am not suprised, Harden and Ty would never be able to co-exist because they are not both defensive minded really.

Its really crazy how when this guy was in denver with George Karl, i was saying to myself, if he keeps improving and playing like this, he might have an hall of fame, or a really good career. Now, this might be his last chance in the league. wth happened?

On offense yeah, a dominant center would rip GSW. But on defense, they would just shoot him out of the rotation - they dont want to score in the paint even

just a friendly talk between my people for house which great team in the past can beat this present GSW I went with the Kobe and shaq Lakers
I think we will have the answer this season. GSW is not taking anyone by surprise anymore - the more games they play, the more coaches around the league are understanding their offensive sets.

We will get to see what more traditional style teams like Spurs and Clippers can do after another full season studying GSW offensive sets. Remember, both these teams did not get play GSW in the playoffs. It will likely happen this time around. I for one want to see what schemes Popovich is devising in his lair right now - this should be fun, except for the dude guarding Alacurry

You hit the bulls eye with that Question...

With what rules?

No contact or Full contact?
Hand check or no hand check?
Number of personal and team foul allowed per game?
reintroduction of jump ball to determine possession after a free throw once the game hits the 3 minute
The increased time out or the former 4 time outs per team?
was thinking the same thing about hand check and contact rules. The amount of contact Jordan used to take in the paint, especially before winning a couple of rings ,would be flagrant by todays standards. And hand-checking would pour some ice water on all the flashy guards in the league today. GSW would be probably be bullied out of the game in a different era, but like Curry rightly said, you have to win in your own era.

If anyone thinks the east would beat GSW, you are crazy. Besides curry, Klay, and Andre, no one really showed up on the offensive end, and they did that. Green had a terrible night.

It would be stupid to bet against this guys. They are deadly. I have learned never to doubt them as a Dallas fan cause they are known for ending the game with crazy runs in the 4th quarter. Crazy Crazy game.
yeah u right, I dont see anyone that can beat these guys right now undecided.

They do have a weakness - if you score mainly in the paint and get physical, you can absorb Curry's 3's, keep the remaining team in check and still win. But you have to bring that energy for 48 mins, for 4 out of 7 game seiries. Even Westbrook, who plays amped up all the time was visibly tired even before the 4th quarter. Guarding a person who can shoot from the parking lot is not yam!
