Lebron is fired up! Is Tatum on nairaland? warris happening |
So we need Lebron to beat the celtics? which kin life be dis ![]() ayo to Melo, thank you sir! |
benji93:bro, you will make a good politician. for real ![]() |
Roland17:I didnt see your initial response, hence the late reply. what is there to talk about on rockets biko? But we welcome you to the Rockets fold - we bleed red out here ![]() |
The Lakers starting 5 has red flags all over it. Usually a team filled with veterans do not play up and down the way these Lakers do. We know its not coaching, because they have 2 of the best defensive minds in the league on staff. One weakness that this team has is that 2 of the supposed top 4 players are not known for defense. I havent paid as much attention to Melo, but Westbrook's D has to be the biggest 419 of the season. The guy even knows how to fake it, but the ease with which fellow guards blow by this guy makes me know he isnt all in, no matter what he says. Is it too late to trade Westbrook? I feel like a mid season trade is needed to shake things up |
Roland17:lol. take your own advice. I dont take attacks against rockets or Lebron or other players I like personal. Its a game, entertainment provided by millionaires for us fans. End of story. But anytime you hear something about the celtics na so u go dey para like policeman You are the one that needs to take it easy. No matter how deep your green runs, you just a fan like d rest of us ![]() |
[quote author=A40 post=107725178]Of course he was on one leg after Giannis spent the first 3 Quarters bussing his ass. Where was the one leg AD in these clips. Alainitiju oniro. Shior
guys should pity steady. this assault is too much ![]() |
steady986:last time we talked on this AD saga, you claimed he was the best big man in the league, but he was not an alpha. Those are your words o, steady. I no wan talk then. But applying your statement to this game, when he plays another big man like Giannis, he will get dominated, because he is not an alpha. So, how can he still be the best big man in the league if there are other big men that he cant perform against? Now, you say he was playing on one leg tonight. Riddle me this: do you think AD would have continued in the playoffs if he had the type of injury Giannis had in the playoffs last year? Ordinary stomach ache your best big man dey siddon for house dey watch game dey chip potato chips ![]() |
donlittle25:I dey tell u! I have peeped this dude. the guy is a cancer. he is just very smooth about it. he knows how to say the right words, but deep down, its all about him. |
Khanben:no leave him. let him be arguing nonsense . Luka is a franchise cornerstone. All Tatum has right now is signs of promise. Commissioner go block am sef ![]() |
etidy:He had to leave. Skilled guys like Durant like to play with a chip on their shoulder. Any sign of disrespect, no matter how little will set them off, imagined or not. Warriors really didnt do anything evil to him, it;s just how Durant's mind works. Ultimately he wants to win the 'ship with 2 different teams and prove he wasnt carried to a ring, a la Lebron gaining a different level of respect after winning with the Heat then Cavs. Perhaps he should have chosen some other team though, as in any team without Kyrie, westbrick, or other diva type players. Say what you will about Durant's off court issues, the guy is the ultimate professional when it comes to the game. Durant will bring it every night, no excuses. Sad to see him saddled with issues not of his own making. |
A40:Luka has. You cannot trade Luka for Tatum. 2 Tatums even That is the definition of far exceeded. Others have exceeded Tatum, but not by much - Trae Young for example. Ja Morant approaching Tatum. If this season is like last season, with Tatum underperforming and Morant making noise in the playoffs, well... ![]() Ill skip the bigs since they usually dont follow the same trajectory as guards, forwards |
BlueMann:Definitely a feel good story for this year. Im also happy Derozan is getting the recognition he deserves. Had he gone to the Lakers, none of this woulda happened. Fortune favors the brave! |
A40:far exceeded or approaching is what I said |
Khanben: ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuwSJUkYqwQ |
Khanben:I think it was Rafer Alston (skip to my lou). Man we had some good drama. That was the only streetballer to make it into the NBA. And that was about the time And1 basketball was making waves in the USA. Skip was royalty! We would win a game with Tmac and Yao going off, and JVG would still look sad . Guy just liked looking morose. Fun times |
Roland17:dude calm down. I said exceeded or approaching. anyhow Im signing off this topic. I said what I said. Deal with it. you are not going to make me stop analysing teams just because. I aint scared of the celtics, your leprechaun or you |
Khanben:I agree 100%. That team has been badly constructed for a while. When they had IT, his heroics covered up a lot of deficiencies. But Ainge had years to tweak that roster but really didnt. Hayward and Horford were good moves, but they never really pursued it. I dont follow Celtics as well as Roland17 does, but I always get the feeling they think positionless basketball is the way to go. They went even farther than Morey at the rockets. O, and btw, on your earlier post, Steve Francis never played with TMac. I believe he went to Orlando in the trade for TMac or something like that. Houston fan base would have imploded had that ever happened. We barely survived Steve vs Yao battles ![]() |
Roland17:Luka has. As has Trae Young. And Ja Morant. Deandre even can get you consistent doubles now. |
Roland17:I love Tatum, love his energy. Me I can separate a player from the team. I may not like the celtics, but I like Tatum. However, like Khanben said, we have seen flashes of brilliance, but those flashes are inconsistent. You say he was just drafted in 2017. Well, so was Bam Adebayo and John Collins. Guess who was drafted in 2018? Trae Young, Luka Doncic, DeAndre Ayton. 2019? Ja Morant, Cam Reddish. 2020? LaMelo Ball, James Wiseman All these guys are approaching or have far exceeded Tatum. Once you wait too long to bloom, time will pass you by. If he does not graduate to the next level this year, he risks becoming a really good player, but not a superstar. At least he is doing much better than Zion who was drafted a year later. Criticism is not hate. |
Khanben:It will not get any better, with Brad Stevens now president. I am still amazed that a terrible coach can fail his way into a role twice as important. I guess he got some networking skills The roster needs to be blown up, but with Ainge, err, Stevens at the helm, I dont see many players wanting to be in Boston. That reputation is a given now. And we have been waiting for Tatum to "graduate" like the last 4 years now, same result every year. Like I said last year, Celtcis are going to be eastern conference cellar dwellers for most of this decade. And Im fine with it ![]() |
etidy:I dont think people fully appreciate the disaster that westbrook is. There is no hope of the team gelling to compete because of how he breaks plays. he can say all the good things about how he is adapting, but deep down, this guy is selfish. He knows that moment when he is breaks the flow of the offense to do his own thing. He knows exactly when he does it. He just doesnt care. This is what his advocates dont understand. Its not that he cant be coached. Its a conscious decision this guy is making to play a certain way regardless. The most useless 20pts ever |
A40:a40!! a-foh-ti ooo, iwo da! where are you? where is dis one. a40 come here! you see yourself? you see yourself? ![]() |
A40:Really? How are the other teams with crazy roster drama earning 6 straight wins? Are they not in the same league? WC Top Tier: 1. Warriors - 6 straight wins 2. Clippers - 6 straight wins 3. Suns - 6 straight wins WC Upcoming Tier: 4. Mavericks - Amazing what they have done with Porz missing many games 5. Lakers - Even without Lebron, they are losing to teams they should be blowing out |
A40:Any team can beat any team on any given night. Give me a 3-5 game win streak without LeKing versus the bottom feeders in the league, to at least show consistency. Im not impressed with big names, I want to see synergy. I want to see Lakers beat teams convincingly, not hero ball to save the situation. Otherwise all na paparazzi, big names with no bite. |
Android17:Im glad you now see that being a good vocal leader is a plus. That trying to lead from the back last year was wack. This year, everybody knows get serious or stay on the bench |
A40:1 game? cmon now bro. cmon. any game where russ is the leading scorer is a fluke. just let it go. |
DeeMain:Its not Jokics fault the guy cant take a football bump. If he knew he was that soft, how shoulda never went looking for trouble in the first place! Soft like charmin, see as e dey moan for ground ![]() |
This f**l fouled a big man at half court! What kind of nonsense is that. They should add a public flogging on top that fine ![]() |
DeeMain:But these are not kids. This is a grown man's game. When you hit Jokic the way Morris did, you are sending a message. Jokic showed emotional intelligence imo. He could have clocked Morris with a punch to the temple. Or body slammed him. Otherwise you are seen as soft, and folks will test you in the playoffs where you cant afford to miss any games. Speaking of kids, same thing. Yes, you should report things to the teacher instead of taking the law into your own hands. De-escalate if you can. But if they corner you and are about to inflict damage on you, game on. Do what you need to to get out of it. Then be the frst to report the whole story to the authorities anyways. Dont just lie down there and eat a beating trying to be emotionally intelligent. There are no rewards for coming home with a broken head. Bullies bully you until you clap back. Such is life. |
steady986:I wasnt following him hard before Lakers. But between this and last season, there have been multiple times this question has arisen. Serious question, do you think that AD is better than Giannis skill wise. If you agree with me that AD is the more skilled of the 2, why is it not showing on this team like Giannis is affecting the Bucks? |
