I used to have this egbon panel beater whom I patronised to fix my car then when I first started driving. I noticed on 2 occasions after taking my car to the car wash that the back door wouldn't open from inside.
I took the car to him twice and he'd asked me to drop the car whilst he fixed it. Of course, I paid. On the 3rd occasion, another mechanic was there and he showed me that it was the child lock that the car wash guys were tampering with.

Showing the customer how to fix 'minor' issues by themselves is a matter of personal discretion on the part of the engineer. It has nothing to do with being 'straightforward' or not.

Remember, the phone engineer we are talking about here was honest enough to admit what could be wrong with the phone.

In life there are certain things that are at our personal discretion to do, or not to do them: it's okay if we do them. But if we don't do them we have not committed any offence or crime. What point am I trying to make here? It would have been fantastic if the engineer had showed the customer how to adjust the phone setting by himself in case of next time. But the engineer didn't commit any offence for not showing him!

Of all the 10 points the op list there, I personally think it is no. 10 that's worth taking note of.

You see I am both a realist and idealist! The idealist side of me believes in miracle. Yes, miracle do happen! What am I driving at?

I believe I can get a job offer that seems too good to be true! The company can ask me to start immediately! It might even be a job I never applied for! The company can contact me via public email address like Gmail or Yahoo mail! But are all these enough to make me shun the offer IF I WAS ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR JOB? Hell no! I might get somehow suspicious but unless they ask me to pay for anything before I get the job or before I receive salary there is no harm in giving it a try especially if the salary is good, working condition is excellent and the job suit my personality and nature and above all, THEY DO NOT ASK ME TO PAY FOR ANYTHING OR PAY SOME MONEY BEFORE I GET THE JOB, why not? I can give it a try.

So, to me, that no. 10 is the only key point worth taking note of. Other points could serve as some kind of red flags but they are not enough reason to jettison the offer unless you were not actually looking for job.

It's like you read my mind in respect of the amount involved. I personally feel $320 million is quite small. I expected a billion dollars and above for this acquisition. I am sure if a company like Mainone were American or European company the amount involved would have been in billions.

The bible says faith without work is dead. Meaning, having faith without taking some form of physical action that would enable you embody that faith is useless.

It's not enough to memorize and recite every day some important verses of the bible that talk about how God has already blessed you with all blessings and given you all things, if you don't embody that faith through some physical action you are wasting your time.

I see the habit of giving 10% of your income to God as a demonstration of your faith in God as the ultimate provider of everything you have and will have, and a practical way of showing appreciation to God for everything He has done and will continue to do for you.

And of course, although you give the physical money to church you need to have it at the back of your mind that it's not actually church or pastor you are giving the money to. It is God you give the money and it is God that will reward you.

In the New Testament dispensation, the Old Testament form of tithing is no longer practical or mandatory; yet despite this, I still belief there is something powerful In making a personal resolution to set aside 10% of your income to give to God in appreciation, and acknowledgement of the fact that He is the ultimate provider, the ultimate source of everything you have.

I must quickly add that if you are not convinced deep within yourself that it's God you are giving that money to then it's better you don't bother giving.

Can tithing provide divine protection? Well, merely paying tithe itself cannot give protection but the spirit with which you pay the tithe can provoke divine protection! Remember God says He will rebuke the devourers for the tither's sake? That means your source of income as a tither and all that belongs to you will be protected from devourers. I see that as all-encompassing protection!

In addition to provoking divine protection I also belief paying tithe can provoke divine favour and grace enabling you achieve what ordinarily would have been impossible for you! Again, it all depends on the spirit with which you pay the tithe.

The unfortunate thing is that some of these blood sucking young cultist will will end up joining politics, the police, military, some will even be pastors with that cult spirit in them
