We had to hire a payloader to assist in spreading the backfilling.

BITSWORKS Nigeria is a multi-discipline construction company comprising of architects, builders, civil engineers and interior designers.

We currently have a brief for a client to construct 4 units of semi-detached duplexes (terraces) on a plot of land in Harmony Villa estate, Isheri by OPIC. The Site is a virgin land, extremely water-logged and we are presently filling it.

We are still at the design stage of the building and we will share the floor plan, elevations and 3D views once we have finalized on the design and permission has been given by the client.

We are presently constructing the perimeter wall and since its still part of the project, we will showcase and highlight the construction process here in the interim, until we start the main building construction.

Lintel level achieved, about to start the formwork for carpentry and reinforcement.

5 coaches and we are almost at lintel level, hopefully we should be able to start lintel formwork by Wednesday.

Laying out of the floor plan on the german floor, this will give us a feel of the spatial flow and floor area.

German floor all done and curing. We will do the plan layout today and start the block setting also.

We are at 65% completion on the german floor.

Casting of the german floor in progress, we started at about 8:30am and hopefully we should be done by 4pm.

Carpentry formwork for the german floor edge ongoing.

We used a leveling instrument (dumping level) to take off levels on different locations on the backfilling so we can have an even leveled surface for the German floor.

Reinforcement floor mat for the german floor almost completed.

Iron reinforcement work has started and we will be using 10mm and 12mm rebars for the german floor mat.

We are at 60% done with backfilling, 5 trips down and still counting.
