Nigerians are always confused and are found of attaching value where none exists! To the best of my knowledge, polytechnic graduates beat their university counterparts in vocational and technical courses any day, any time. The universities should even be proud they are equated to polytechnics...SMH! |
More details please. How exactly does one actually partner? |
rutchiekens: Please go here www.nairaland.com/693538/wordpress-vs-bloggerGbam! And you're sure to make up your mind after reading that thread. |
You won't believe, fellas, manners are so rare these days...It wasn't prearranged that he'd come out the winner. Or was it? |
Larry jay: Pls oooo, I don't knw wat to do, after spending time to create blog, now to monetise it, dey no gree, abii google adsense dey mad nii... Pls check d site out if dre any error dre.. lanreakanniblog..comThe problems with your site are many: 1. Your site is too new with virtually no content to take serious. 2. Your content isn't original. Google hates duplicate content. 3. Your traffic is virtually zero! 4. You need to up grade to a top level domain! 5. Your blog has quite poor navigation. If you were Google, would you approve your own site? It seems to be created for the sole purpose of applying for Adsense!! Start with: www.notopoverty.com and follow carefully the tips I offer there: More specifically, check out this 10+ ways of driving traffic to a blog here: www.notopoverty.com/ways-of-driving-traffic-to-a-blog Alternatively, consider other ways of making money with your blog apart from Adsense here: www.notopoverty.com/best-adsense-alternatives/ Or see other ways that accept relatively new blogs like your own here: www.notopoverty.com/monetizing-a-new-blog/ But the watchword is traffic. Without it, forget about earning with that blog! As me anything either here or at my blog...I'll answer you ASAP! |
mavtrevor: From my experience info products sell easier...I concur...and digital how to manuals. However, everything depends on the type and quantity of traffic that you've got! |
All other things been equal, a car with a higher mileage means it has experienced more wear and tear and is most likely to break down more easily...but that is theoretical. In actual sense, the engineering of the car, manner of use and maintenance will determine how smooth a car will run irrespective of the mileage! |
Hardwork surely does pay! Ride on Linda - and be the best you can be!! |
What are the things you need to know before starting a blog as a beginner? Without wasting time, let's discuss: 1. A good domain name: a good domain name with your keyword included would sure send you targeted traffic for that keyword better choosing a random keyword. Do your keyword research well. 2. Choose your host carefully: If I be heeded, I'd suggest a foreign host. This is not because I lack patriotism but because I feel business comes first! The customer service of some Nigerian hosts is quite pathetic! Also confirm the customary 99.9% uptime guarantee. Most of these hosts actually have an uptime less than 70%. 3. Traffic, not content is king: If anyone argues that content is king, simply look the other way! These are lies old bloggers manufacture to stay on top of their game! No matter how great your content is, if no one is actually reading, you can't monetize. Or can you? Read the other 7 points here: http://notopoverty.com/things-you-should-know-before-starting-a-blog/ Any problem? Lay them down and I'll fix them immediately! To your blogging success! |
oluwadanie1: thanks very much@bizfirstAnytime. Feel free to get in touch once there are improvements made. |
oluwadanie1: www.healthyafrica..comThe concept behind your blog is great. However, it cannot be listed because the content is too scanty and highly infrequent. I would suggest more dedication and passion. Best of luck! |
fabraham: My favourite sites are:Jarushub is indeed worthy of my list - the value of the site to Nigerians is tremendous. It will be added to the list ASAP. Nairaland is not a blog. It cannot be listed because if fails be meet the condition precedent. So is Naijaloaded. Youtern is an American website. It also does not meet the condition precedent. Thanks for introducing Jarus. His omission was clearly an oversight. |
I sincerely weep for such 'Christians' that are easily duped! Remembering Marx... 'religion is the opium of the people...' There is no business that pays better than church business in Nigeria today. Imagine all that tax free money! The 'Lord' is indeed not only good, but exceptionally good! |
I am currently compiling a list of important Nigerian blogs. This list is NOT BASED ON POPULARITY BUT VALUE. I have thus excluded all fashion and entertainment blogs; this is because the value such blogs bestow on their readers is questionable at best. Do you feel your blog qualifies and was not mentioned? Drop your URL here or leave a comment and I shall include it if it is found worthy. See if your blog qualifies: http://notopoverty.com/blogs-in-nigeria-worth-your-time/ |
While miracles do happen, most of those pronounced 'dead' actually did not die. We must first differentiate those who had been properly certified dead as against those who have been falsely declared dead when in essence they were technically in comma. Miracles happen. But most at times, we see what we see because it is the only thing we wish to see! |
All over Nigeria today Christians so much cherished satanic music/songs and even satanic musics' dance steps. Most of the so called naija beats have been taken to churches. You will get to hear the likes of "kukere for christ, Azonto for christ and all what not..." What baffled me most is that this music and their dance steps are always from the circular world to christendom. when are we going to have a gosple music that would dominate the circular world? Lets share ideas....
Esq, don't forget that it's from the world that Christians make foray into the church. It seems you are not well grounded in history as it pertains to religion. Do you know that Sunday (the day you worship) is actually a day of worship that was set aside for some sun god? How about 25th Dec.? What if I told you that Christ was not born on that day and the actual date is to the glory of some pagan deity? Reason up...history is fond of repeating itself!! |
This makes a lot of sense...but the concept behind this idea is what thrills me: 'simply make sure you solve everyday's problems in a great way and the money is yours!' All great things/ideas are fundamentally simple! |
Ignorance is bliss...or how else do you explain this stupidity? |
Naziff: I want to get a new modem and I don't know the network that is best at the moment to go for, I need your advice. I love the Glo bolt but I still need to seek your opinion.depends on your location, OP. I was deceived into getting the Glo modem when I first landed in Makurdi. It proved a complete flop: yet it was rumored to work fine in some parts of Makurdi. What to do? Buy a universal modem and test all the networks (with N100 subscriptions of course). Or better still, get a Glo modem and chip it. |
The dead, at least, deserve to rest in peace! WTF!? |
Sure makes sense...but I argue against claiming a relationship or marriage can mar one's future if done in the 20's. Who said so? Great marriages are made in the 20's and great futures are built with it! I concur to all the others...but each person must look to his/her actual circumstances before adopting to these 'noble' values praised here. If something does not work for you, dump it and go for what does! |
I've just started a FB group for sharing recent blog posts by bloggers. Its called Blogger's Round Table. With Google taking social signals very important, it's high time you actually leverage the awesome power of the number 1 social media network in the world! How about traffic? You're sure to get that in abundance...ours is a community that aims to help each other succeed. Request to be added here: http://www./749868161698018/?bookmark_t=group and I'll do that as soon as possible! That would be all! You'd be free to share. And share. And share again! |
I've always used www.whatwpthemeisthat.com to great effect. But that was when I was a baby blogger and thought design and themes were the only things there was to blogging. I hardly check anyone's theme now - I've got a theme I'm not prepared to change anytime soon unless it gives me real reason to! |

bara pistis: u all got the op wrong,he actually was in a tranceThat got me cracked up! aikfrank: Currently working on something that has never been built in Nigeria.OP, see, there is nothing new under the sun...you could be vague and still get the point across. How do you expect a total stranger to part with that sum of money for a concept he has not been properly briefed? (especially with your powerful website design??) PM with the project and other 'better works' of yours let me see. I could be interested. |
Marcelinho: please I just open a blog and I need some tutorial on how to add link to ma post how to connect to Google and things u think can help d blog stand.Congrats and welcome to the world of blogging. First, understand that there are no rules here except the very basic ones! Second, promotion, and not content, is king. Third, you'll learn all the other important things yourself! That's how it went for me, that is how it goes any any successful blogger! |
The blog has been hacked again! I think the fellow need to learn about blog security and take it more seriously! |
I keep getting repeatedly bullied by the very hardworking spambot
I'll have to concur...same issue here! |
I think this has to be sunk into our thick, morally insensitive skulls once and for all: when has it become fashionable to have a baby outside wedlock ?This should be shameful for both the father and mother! Last I checked, such children are called bastards!! |
