Business / Good News Coming To Our Access Bank Customers (soon) by BizLifeE: 1:39pm On Jul 29, 2017 |
We’ll soon announce good news to our customers who use their Access Bank accounts to do business with us. Why? We use our Access Bank corporate account to do this business too, and we like the services. We believe that Access Bank has the best online customers support system in Nigeria. This is no flattery. So all our customers who use Access Bank would soon have a cause to be happy. We’ll announce surprise cash prizes, offers and promos to them, for their personal benefits. This would happen in a foreseeable future and by then, only our verified customers and VIPs would enjoy the benefits. DO WE HATE CUSTOMERS WHO USE OTHER BANKS? Answer: NEVER! We’ll forever appreciate all our customers, no matter the banks they use. We’ve done some promos for every verified customer before and we’ll do them again soon. As you probably know, there are promos that target those who withdraw Neteller only. There are promos that target those who transact in Perfect Money, Payeer and Epay. There’ll be promos that target those who fund with Neteller through us. Then, there’ll soon be a promo/offer for Access Bank customers. This isn’t discriminatory. We love all our customers! NB: Normally, sellers can ask us to pay into any bank accounts they want, and buyers can ask us to fund any Neteller accounts they want. However, a verified seller can’t change their Neteller account, which they registered with us (to avoid fraud), unless they come to our office in Lagos, to prove that they’re also the owner of the new Neteller account they want to withdraw from. To see our current rates, please visit www..com.ng To fund and withdraw with Neteller, please visit: www.instantforex.com.ng |

Nope. No plan for future generation. But the reality is, too many people give birth to too many children they can't afford to train properly. Yet, they look unto the government for their upkeep. |

Food / This Is The Origin Of Indomie by BizLifeE: 4:41am On Jul 25, 2017 |
Do Nigerians know that Indomie is from Indonesia? Well, I cant speak for all of my fellow Nigerians, but , looking back into the mists of time…… I was ten when Indomie made its first arrival in Nigeria, and back then I had a strange and weird habit of reading food labels. Back then, the product was largely imported (I believe that it is now manufactured here in Nigeria)…and I noticed that these things called ‘noodles’ came from a country that (at the time) I had a vague idea existed….Indonesia. A few years later, I read a bit about the history of noodles…how they originally came from China, and how they spread around the world from there. (Also got to sample some imported Chinese noodles). I also saw a tv feature on how noodles were made. And of course, like many Nigerians, I have consumed tons of the stuff (Not much these days…..instant noodles aren’t really a proper meal) Source: https://www.quora.com/Do-Nigerians-know-that-Indomie-is-from-Indonesia Perfect Money/Payeer/Epay/Neteller: www..com.ng |
Food / This Is How Long You Can Survive On Water Only by BizLifeE: 3:04am On Jul 23, 2017 |
How long could a person survive if he had unlimited supply of water, but no food at all? I happen to know the answer because I have studied starvation, its course, and its utility in committing a painless suicide. (No, I’m not suicidal). A healthy human being can live approximately 45 to 65 days without food of any kind, so long as he or she keeps hydrated. You could survive without any severe symptoms about 30 to 35 days, but after that you would probably experience skin rashes, diarrhea, and of course substantial weight loss. The body — as you must know — begins eating itself, beginning with adipose tissue (i.e. fat) and next the muscle tissue. Google Mahatma Gandhi, who starved himself almost to death during fourteen voluntary hunger strikes to bring attention to India’s independence movement. Strangely, there is much evidence that starvation is a painless way to die. In fact, you experience a wonderful euphoria when the body realizes it is about to die. Whether this is a divine gift or merely secretions of the brain is not known. Of course, the picture is not so pretty for all reports. Some victims of starvation have experienced extreme irritability, unbearably itchy skin rashes, unceasing diarrhea, painful swallowing, and edema. In most cases, death comes when the organs begin to shut down after six to nine weeks. Usually the heart simply stops. Celebrities / Babjide Kolade-otitoju: The Professional Heckler by BizLifeE: 4:53am On Jul 18, 2017 |
Babjide Kolade-Otitoju is head of news at TVC. He’s highly intelligent and knowledgeable. I like him a lot, because he gives detailed and satisfactory answers to all questions asked on Journalists Hangout on TVC. Some people even call him an “encyclopedia.” I think there cannot be a truer word. However, there is a big flaw in his habit: He heckles fellow journalists who say something contrary to him. When Babajide talks, he is rarely interrupted. But when some other journalists talk, especially espousing something contrary to his opinions, he will interrupt them (sometimes continuously). It usually happens when a woman is anchoring the program, and this is becoming embarrassing. Those who blame others, who think they are knowledgeable, who think they can do better, should also demonstrate it in the simplest terms. If a journalist is saying something which is contrary to Babajide’s opinions, why can’t he wait for the journalist to land, before refuting him? If he thinks he may forget the fact, why can’t he jot it down, and later mention the points to be proven wrong. Can we call it narrow-mindedness? This is Babjide Kolade-Otitoju’s weakness; and an ignominious weakness it is. Perfect Money/Payeer/Epay/Neteller: www..com.ng 2 Likes 1 Share |
Foreign Affairs / Why I Cannot Vote For Mark Zuckerberg by BizLifeE: 10:54am On Jul 15, 2017 |
Would you vote for Mark Zuckerberg, if he ran for president? Oh, hell no. I do not want another businessman president. Businesses are not like governments in any way. Governments and businesses have completely different goals. The skills to run one are not the same skills you need to run the other. I haven’t seen anything to suggest Zuckerburg has the personal values or compassion to that I want in a president. He hasn’t given us any clue what his platform or program would be. If he tried to get the Democratic nomination, I would fight against him. That said, if he did get the nomination, I would have no choice but to campaign for him and vote for him. The Republicans are a danger to the US, to Western civilization, and to the planet. I loathe the whole cult of personality around successful businessmen. Religion / Is Nigerian Juju Real? by BizLifeE: 8:44pm On Jul 07, 2017 |
Of course it is real, remember before Christianity or Islam came to Nigeria, there was Juju worship and there still is juju worship till now. I have visited Cities, Towns where you practically see juju at T junctions sacrificed to Juju gods. Many juju worshippers like to nail some kind of charms on trees, most especially the Baobab tree, why that is, I have no idea. When I was eight years old, I remember playing in our flower garden with my sister and then we saw those shiny eyes,I can never forget. We called out to our parents and it was then we discovered that someone buried a whole goat in our compound, but did not cover up the head well, probably that person was in a hurry. Some people use juju for blood money or to harm other people. There are also people who believe juju isn't real. I believe they are real,as a christian I believe juju is powerless before the Lord almighty. I also learned recently that my great grand father who I never met was not just a juju worshipper, he had a shrine. He had disappearing powers as well. One would think that with Christianity and Islam in Nigeria, juju would have been abolished, instead it is on the rise because of the get rich quick syndrome. Many armed robbers who have been caught and paraded on television always have different kinds of charm among their possession. Yes I believe Nigeria Juju is real. Politics / June Rain by BizLifeE: 2:19pm On Jul 01, 2017 |
I am clearly disturbed Whether or not I admit it by incessant heavy rains hurtling down on the land: I am the mind Disturbed by anomalies and tricks Disturbed by man’s errors and caprices I am the mind that worries The past cannot be forgotten Today’s results are products of the past deeds The sower of seeds did not reap any bounties The laborers do not reap the fruits of their labor The beneficiaries of the dividend of the labor are ungrateful “Kill those traitors,” The fighters for justice are the enemies of the country Prophets are not honored in their homelands: “Kill Those Traitors who spread seditious ideas.” But they fought for democracy till they died in the struggle. The authorities see them as nuisances They are the fallen heroes of democracy Could their split blood these torrential rains wash away? I am the mind Disturbed by the man’s anomalies and tricks White men threw off their oppressors’ yokes And put their own yokes on those innocent natives; Those who wanted freedom at all cost have abused the freedom of others; An executioner does not want anyone to wield a sword at his own back Those who discovered scientific and religious truths, principles, and facts Some institutions persecuted and killed; Now as the clean custodian of the truth The institutions are seen I am the mind disturbed by the man’s folly and deception: Do the masses deserve pity? for dying for nothing is fighting for them For lining up beside roads you will see them; And being tortured by the rains and the sun And waving to the convoy of their oppressors. Politics / Will Nigeria Ever Become Like South Africa? by BizLifeE: 5:32pm On Jun 27, 2017 |
Can Nigeria be developed like South Africa? I suspect that here in South Africa we are about to learn lessons which Nigeria (and Kenya) already know. Currently we are disregarding sound economic practice. All is not lost and there are a lot of good people in this country trying to do the right things. But by the time we have learned them and have moved on Nigeria would be far ahead of us. I would put my money on Nigeria and Kenya with Nigeria leading as it is far bigger. Health / The Best Way To Force Yourself To Sleep by BizLifeE: 1:40pm On Jun 21, 2017 |
What are the best ways of falling asleep quickly? I used to have this problem. As a teenager, I would stay up until 4 in the morning playing World of Warcraft, crawl into bed, and still not be able to fall asleep. It was terrible. A bunch of doctors suggested medication and/or sleeping pills. I was never one for that sort of "answer," so I chose insomnia instead. It wasn't until a few years ago that I started meditating, and I was finally able to fall asleep. Now, I lie down and am asleep within 30 seconds, and I don't wake up until my alarm goes off. This is something that takes practice, but too many people mistake their busy thoughts as "themselves," and either accept insomnia or resort to sleeping pills—neither of which are very desirable, in my opinion. We all need sleep! To meditate, simply sit in a comfortable, upright position (I usually sit on the floor with my back against a wall. Comfortable enough, but not so comfortable as a chair that I'll fall asleep). Close your eyes, place your hands on your knees (palms up if you want to feel more buddha, palms down if you're still that "this shit doesn't work" phase), and breathe deeply. You will hear your thoughts very loudly. Don't tell them to shut up—this will only make them louder. Instead, just listen. Breathe and listen. Stay there for at least five minutes. Shoot for ten. Fifteen and you get a gold star. Do this every day for six months and let me know what happens. My guess: sleep. Education / “most Academic Papers Are Useless.” – Elon Musk by BizLifeE: 7:03am On Jun 20, 2017 |
Is Elon Musk right in saying most academic papers are useless? As a professor at a research university and also a three-time entrepreneur with products deployed to thousands of data centers, I find that academic papers have the following “usefulness”: Training Ph.D students: An academic institution’s main job is to train students, including Ph.D students. Academic papers are just like some craft projects in elementary schools. It is a vehicle (or a target) used to train Ph.D students in creative thinking, problem solving, project management, experimental design, written and verbal presentation, team working, etc. The peer paper review system used in academic conferences or journals is like a project/exam evaluation—to set some standard. Yes, inevitably the review can be biased, just like any other subjective measurement, but it does serve the purpose of pushing students to aim high in many aspects. Benefiting from such training, many of my own former Ph.D students have become successful entrepreneurs, or have contributed to large companies like Google/Apple/Uber, etc, and are now playing important roles in these companies. I am sure Elon Musk must have hired many Ph.D students who were trained this way. It may take many papers to get the 5% that can make some fundamental impacts in industry and future technology. Both VmWare (VMware - Wikipedia) and Akamai (Akamai Technologies - Wikipedia )were first started from some academic papers, just to name a few. As in the startup world, only 5% startups succeeded, but still many entrepreneurs start their companies every month. Why? It is because if you don’t give a try, how do you know you will fail or become the next Google. Yes, there are many crappy papers, just like that there are many crappy startups or big company internal initiatives (e.g. Google +) . Then why would we be so critical on academic papers?
