Celebrities / These Things Are Not Worth Doing by BizLifeE: 3:56am On Aug 24, 2018
WHAT ISN'T WORTH DOING IN LIFE?

Cheating : NEVER WORTH IT. EVER. It does not matter if you are cheating in a relation; in an exam or somewhere else. It is going to come back and bite you in the ass.

Procrastination : It is going to cause you more headache than necessary in the end. Why inflict unnecessary pain upon yourself?

Giving in to peer pressure : I will get the common ‘not worth its’ out of the way here. Drinking, drugs, partying, chasing after girls/boys, bunking classes, too many movies- you name it. The moment you feel you are being pressurized to do any of this, leave. It is just another way to die earlier and more painfully than necessary.

Becoming one of the herd : Doing anything without exercising any of your own thoughts on a subject is tantamount to digging a hole for yourself and jumping in. Prime examples nowadays include: IITs, IIMs, UPSC, CA etc. Have a goal of your own and work towards it. If you are interested in history, you do not have to go to IIT just because your everyone wants to go. Find reasons of your own.

Being dependent upon someone : There is a reason why Batman works alone. You should be able to take care of stuff by yourself. Whether it is personal life, studies or any other sphere of your life. The more independent you are, the more capable you are and the more confidence you gain.

Having too many friends : The less people you chill with, the less bullshit you deal with. Have a few good friends who you share a bond with, and that’s it.

Showcasing your life on social media : Selfies, pictures of your food, where you went, which event you are interested in; no one gives a damn. Not only does it waste a lot of time but it also provides an insight into your private life. Keep in mind that anyone would be able to take advantage of your posts.

Trusting someone/something blindly : Always keep your eyes open. No matter what happens. Think with your head, not your heart.

Attaching too much importance to trivial things : There are so many things you could be doing to make your life better. Why waste time and energy doing things that won’t matter anyway?
Lying to yourself : No one can save you from yourself. The sooner you analyze your strengths and weaknesses, the more successful you will be.

“Living in the moment” : This is a classic. And while it sounds very cheesy and amazing, it is completely impractical. Thinking a step ahead, pondering the consequences before doing something hurt no one. On the contrary, it will save you a lot of trouble.

Being overoptimistic : No, things won’t be all right and they won’t resolve themselves. YOU have to MAKE them all right. Simply believing good things will happen is foolishness. Without action, you are going to get nothing.

Competing with someone other than yourself : Every person has a different journey, a different past, different luck and different talents. So, competition with anyone other than yourself does not make sense.

Saying yes to everything : Learn to say no. It might sound rude, it may hurt a few feelings but in the end your life will be ten times easier due to lack of complications.

Romance / Re: Marriage Counselling: Are Prophets Better Than Astrologers? by BizLifeE: 6:15am On Aug 16, 2018
donbachi:
Don't marry because a prophet or an astrologer told you to...marry based on self convictions...the bible says"he who findeth a wife" and not "he whom pastor or astrologer, findeth wife for".

But why do many people, including me, patronize prophets and astrologers? Can we know the future without that?
Romance / The Most Common Lie Women Tell by BizLifeE: 2:55am On Aug 02, 2018
“I don’t have a boyfriend.” “I don’t have another lover, apart from you.”

This statement is often a lie. Ladies know this, and they can’t deny it.

A lady will swear to her manfriend or boyfriend, that he’s the only one in his life, and will do anything possible to defend or cover that falsehood. At the end, one will see that the lady is living with a man.

When a lady has told a lie, they will do everything in their capacity to defend that lie and make it real, even when it’s obvious that doing so doesn’t make sense any longer.

What about those who’re hiding their lovers on social media. They let you know that, after you, no-one else is seeing their unclothedness. But unbeknown to you, there is a distant lover whom she goes to visit occasionally.

You cannot know she’s going. Even if you know, she may tell you she’s going for a business or visiting a friend or family members.

You visit a woman and after she’s seen you off, she goes with another lover.

What is the difference between them and prostitutes?

Why do they tell this lie? They want to appear like saint? Or do they want to avoid offending you, and thus ruining their chances in the relationship.

Skyfornia:
I have this young yoruba guy that services my generators at home and shop, anytime I called him, he will demand to know who he is speaking with, happened severally and I had to warn him the last time. His excuse is that he don't like keeping numbers of his customers cause they are the ones who will always call him. Imagine!!!

This is one of the many reasons why Igbos seem to thrive more in business than other tribes.

You can see that there are different reasons from different people.

CAMPUS LIFE – a poem

Illiterate students increase
And no measures are taken.

Malpractices are rife
And lawlessness makes us sick

Poverty weakens the young
But leaders disregard that
Constant hunger and sickness
But the number of students increases.

They are not concerned.
No measures are taken
Acute hardship
With hope of a brighter future.

Career / Can I Start More Than One Businesses At Once? by BizLifeE: 5:53am On May 18, 2018
Is launching multiple startups a good idea?

I have founded 8 ventures in the last couple of years, 6 of them tech. But I’m not running any of them - each business has their own CEO.

It’s certainly working well for me. But bear in mind, I’ve been running businesses for 11 years.

Elon Musk manages SpaceX, Tesla, Hyperloop, SolarCity, OpenAI, The Boring Company, Neuralink, all at the same time.

And he’s certainly not the only person that has done it successfully. Jack Dorsey, Steve Jobs, Patrick Grove are great examples, and on a corporate level - Samsung, Google, Hyundai are essentially each composed of multiple businesses.

One thing that people overlook is the benefits to each startup:

I’m in and out between each startup. That means ideas from one constantly being crossed over into another. The teams learn from one another too.
All funding comes through one source - investors I know and myself - which makes fund-raising relatively pain-free.

Especially at the early stage resource sharing can be a big benefit. For example one startup might not be working out, so instead of firing a great talent they just move to another.
But before you rush off to start 10 startups, get one right first. Then, and only if you’re not needed in that startup, do another. It’s much better to do one startup damn well than 2, 3 or 10 quite well...

Education / The Most Horrific Science Experiment! by BizLifeE: 10:03pm On May 04, 2018
Which are the most horrific science experiments?

What the Unit 731 of Japanese army did is the darkest science experiments. They called the victims "woods". These woods were just materials for their experiments. They placed woods outside in coldest weather for some time, then knocked the frozen arms broken to analyse how frostbite hurt man, or put the frozen person into hot water to see what will happen. They tested all kinds of bacteria or chemical weapons on those poor people and vivisected victims to collect information about the effects ...

Most of the woods were Chinese, the others were Russians, Koreans. After the War, the U.S. detained the chief and some members of Unit 731 for sometime, and after got the experimental results, they released these devils.

===
Jonathan Mitchell is right. Logs is the noun Japanese used to refer to victims.
And there is a movie called Black Sun 731 filmed by Chinese about the atrocity. I have never seen it although I knew it. It is said that viewers should be strong-minded enough to see all these experiments happening.
