1) This account by Mbu is utter distortion. That Balewa was shot dead/murdered is not in doubt. I have accounts by the police officers and others who actually recovered Balewa's corpse. They confirm that his body had several bullet wounds and they even confirmed the location of the bullet wounds. [/b]The bullet wounds were evident even though rigor mortis had set in and Balewa's body was badly decomposed.

2) Balewa's murder is chronicled in detail by Trevor Clark's biography of him entitled "A Right Honourable Gentleman" and in my own book.

3) The Special Branch report into the Jan 66 coup was compiled by several British and Nigerian police officers who investigated the coup and Balewa's murder. It also confirms that Balewa was shot dead.

Maybe you should ask yourself why he didnt tell this truth when it mattered most, that way 3 million Ibo lives would not have been lost. Plus, future generations of Ibos woulda been sane enough to know who their real enemies are. . . . . then again, the world hates the Ibos, right?

This revisionist crap keeps coming - for what purpose I don't know. There are many things wrong with this story:

1. The coupists killed him period - whether they shot him or caused him to have an ashmatic attack is immaterial.
2. Please keep Pa. Awolowo out of it. If handing over to Awolowo was their real objective there is no need to be take PM Balewa to Awolowo for anything. Not for release, not for handing over - the coup would itself have a component specifically releasing Awo from jail and flying him to Lagos. They were already conducting a coup for God's sake, what need is there for Balewa to be "forced to handover". This roping in of Awolowo by hearsayists is convenient but egregious. Time. Have you ever thought of time by examining events (day and night, earth rotation)? You are wrong!. What is Time? Who created Time? What created Time? If time is an illusion why do we age with time?

You can't measure real time, all we do is measure events cause by time. The sun rise and Earth rotation are all events which we use in measuring time but what time? Time is universal right? Then ask your self Earth revolving around the sun makes our one year but that can't be time. Since Mercury has shorter days to make a year, what we are measuring is amount of earth's revolution the earth makes around the sun. The sun doesn't go down so what time are we really dealing with? The earth is moving fine but is the universe moving? Maybe it's too slow to notice but let's assume the universe is moving. Is the slow motion of the universe the cause of earth's rotation? If so, then the sun must move too right? Can anyone prove the sun moves? (That's question). If the Black hole is swallowing stars etc, then where do the stars come from? From Big Bang right but nothing doesn't exist so what formed the rocks? There must have been rocks before the explosion that created the black hole right?

Is time an illusion? All we have is events not time. So is time events? Or Events are used to measure time? But there are new Events occurring in the universe that might never occur again should we call those a measurement for time too?


If we can fully understand the cause of time, I think some of our questions will have answers.
