Still haunted by this, quite a shame really. RIP to him. . .

I doubt all members of the Nigerian Police Force or even the armed forces have gone through any form of RSP training.
Video below shows a puported NPF Anti Bomb Unit

At 1:02, one can see a member of the Nigerian Bomb squad in a bomb suit carrying out training on the field.

Contrast the same unfortunate incident to a similar case elsewhere.

Sums up Nigeria  shocked No protocol or nada.

Guess they've never seen or heard of a bomb suit.

Possibly set off as some sort of controlled explosion. First response should have been to cordon off and jam all telecommunication gadgets within a certain radius and then call in a bomb disposal unit. He potentially did not only put his life in danger but also the lives of others too.
PoliticsRe: Why Do I Hate Nigeria So Much? by BlackBaron: 3:53pm On Feb 14, 2012
Same for me. Every time I read articles in the politics section, its always like we'd taken 10 steps.

Government excesses, unlawful police killing, terrorism, fraud, derelict amenities, inflation, rising standard of living without a reciprocal wage increase.

*Sigh*

Anyone tried any of these N64/PS1 emulators? Want to know your experience. Thanks
Most N64 games run well on single core phones with least 800mhz or above. Games like Conker's bad fur day is still known to have lag issues with most phones though. My own choice of n64 emulators is narrowed down to Mupen64 and N64oid. The latter is the one I use.

PS1 games run generally better with dual core processors. Sadly mine is single core. Alternatively, pick up an xperia play, powerful android tablet or a galaxy s2 for ps1 emulation.

@ OP, next time don't shove your v status in others face. Remember some are not as fortunate as you as they may have lost theirs in questionable scenarios or whatnot.

You however don't certainly deserve all this vitrol and hate though.

CultureRe: Myth or Reality: Yoruba is closer to the Edos culturally than the East is. by BlackBaron: 9:41am On Feb 05, 2012
The topic was a good one but until the opening line displayed his myopic and ethnic bias.

Same dude on another thread claimed 'no relations' with the Igbos until now.

Can't be bothered to post its statements here anyway.

End of the day, they would probably form an alliance with SS states than yoruba or igbo groups. Then again, I ain't edo and can't speak on their behalf

CultureRe: Myth or Reality: Yoruba is closer to the Edos culturally than the East is. by BlackBaron: 2:40pm On Feb 04, 2012
Don't really understand what you're driving at. . .

The Benin empire once stretched towards some regions of yorubaland.

No yoruba is claiming them as one of theirs even though both groups retain certain strong influences from the oduduwa folklore to some aspects of their traditional dances and dressing.

In the event of a split, it would be up to them to decide which region to join and not the yorubas nor igbos

Would advise you check historical resources all over the internet before you display continued further ignorance.
CultureRe: Myth or Reality: Yoruba is closer to the Edos culturally than the East is. by BlackBaron: 12:54pm On Feb 04, 2012
They are probably not closely related to either aforementioned parties anyway  tongue

Though according to history, there was a period of contact between the bini's and yorubas where both assimilated each other's culture to a certain

degree like the Oba title and the similarities between yoruba and bini sculptures and artworks.
Foreign AffairsRe: Mugabe At African Union: Let’s Stand Up To West by BlackBaron: 1:03am On Feb 03, 2012
Still funny people seem to idolise tyrants. Gaddafi was instrumental in the Sierra Leonean/Liberian civil war. Mugabe, once a hero has clearly lost the plot.

True story about standing up to the west but then again its a ploy to garner support to prevent any form interference say there be an uprising in his home country.

Bloatware is any carrier installed app (provided it was once a carrier branded phone)

Usually annoying and of no use whatsoever.

Can be deleted normally through your app settings with rooted phones I think.

Market Enabler let's you fake your location and download apps normally not available in your country.

Seems he's illiterate though as he couldn't string a sentence in English rather used a translator.

Also walks with a limp probably from years of fighting  undecided
