Ain't hating on no BB's but after pinging back and forth, moved to android after only a year.

Besides numerous chat apps exists on various platforms only that BB chat is 'secure'

Hated the constraints on it and lack of app support et al.

My new android is heavily customizable with variety of applications from my gps nav, music, games, metronome, textbooks, kindle, movies, tv streaming, remote apps and much more.

Quite often when I get bored or on a long journey, pick it up and voila! Also got lost a few times with gps bailing me out.

Even the games are console quality - got GTA 3, Modern Combat 3, NFS, Fifa 12. . .

A country where foreign news is banned. .

and citizens not allowed to travel abroad without explicit permission ( population basically on lockdown )

It's supposed to be a plug in to make it possible to run other games not normally playable with your device.
I don't use both nor is my phone rooted, but I can run all xperia play and tegra exclusive titles on mine, no problems.

PES 11 and 12 are available for android, FIFA 12 coming in a few months and also probably Real Football 12 even though the latter try a bit too hard for me.

Admittedly the ios does have some quality games. . .
Infinity blade and Real Racing do stand out
Due to fragmentation of however, developers are less keen to port games on to android. Also a disparity between high end graphically intensive phones to low end devices. Though also you could use chain fire 3D to run example tegra games.

N64oid, gameboid, fpse et al are great android exclusives though some require faster processors.
However, it is almost impossible to have android exclusive titles though. So yh, iphone probably kicks androids in the games department.

Probably should make another thread dedicated to just android apps and games alone.

Quite a few decent games/apps on mine - Dead Space, NFS Hot Pursuit, Battlefield Bad Company, Destroy Gunners, Shadowgun ( easily one of the best android games)
Also worth checking out gameloft; they do develop some of the best android games too. Tintin, Modern Combat like MW for phones and also supports online multiplayer

Apps like grooveshark, amazon kindle, guardian, n640id amongst others also feature on my all time best list

Off the top of my head, Skype, Viber or if you don't mind. Get the blip me app, works like a walkie talkie but to anywhere in the world over your internet connection.
