Peter Obi, not a fan of especially after the Pandora issues. However, if to choose between Atiku, Tinubu and Obi, then I'd choose him. If the 2 former become President, I'll just be done with this country. Halliburton thief and former Drug dealer. |
NewTAN:This is the video. Listen for yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkefBmDsh7s |
This is one of the best roads I've seen in Nigeria, lush greenery and with road markings. Watch Tayo Aina's video on that state. Akwa Ibom is lovely and peaceful. I'd easily find myself living there. |
Obasanjo brought GSM, that's his enduring legacy. Stop jumping on people's achievements. Would soon start claiming he brought the air we breathe. Here's a place in Lagos that seemed to have skipped the attention of Tinubu or is he deliberately punishing them in that area so he can continue to recruit them into his 'thuggery franchise' . As he claims EKO Atlantic, let him claim this too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AAqTdrX2m0 |
Tinubu has no appeal beyond some SW states and a few other Northern state. He's absolutely not clinching any state in SS/SE. Better for Amaechi or Osinbajo who are well regarded all over the country.
|
He speaks for himself and his paymaster only. In as much permutations shows weak politicking from the SE and now their main candidate has chosen to dump the party. Candidates such as Dave Umahi has been relatively quiet. I only like 2 people in Osinbajo or Amaechi. |
Tinubu was the orchestrator of what would be the most frivolous financial burden on a state treasury in Nigeria. He started the trend of that stupendous pension package for himself that soon caught on like wildfire in other states. Got it rubber stamped by the state assembly and drafted in Fashola to protect his interests. The man who should get more acclaim for the state of Lagos is Fashola. He literally kickstarted the many changes and blueprints in infrastructure for the state. Tinubu wasn't even a name among the best Governors of that era. Apart from LASTMA, Nurtw and IGR, mention what other things he did. |
Couldn't there be a law to state that 'inducement of delegates via financial, monetary or quid pro quo is a crime and can result in prison sentence, cancellation of votes and barred from elections for the next 10 years. |
Suffice to say only region safe in Nigeria is the SW. |
If they made a table of Presidential candidates, Wike would surely always be in the relegation zone. ![]() |
kettykings:Same group enforces the sit at home orchestrated by IPOB, murder people and burn buses of those flouting orders. Best believe You have a full blown Terrorist group operating in your region. Pray tell why has your leader Kanu not condemned these atrocities. Shameful all around. |
This group is an insanely dangerous and another terror group in the mould of BH. |
Quite irrational. This one thinks he's in the Mafioso. Hurting civilians back because of issues with one is a mindset that needs to be stamped out. Alluding to wanting to use his weapon because he has one is scary. Against terrorists, The Army is trying to be proactive and of course be better prepared against attacks. 'Retaliate' is a fool hardy response and there's a saying 'Before You Embark On A Journey Of Revenge, Dig Two Graves'. |
This desperate fraudster! 1999-2007, was Tinubu ever among the best Governors of that era? He simply got lucky that Fashola who came after him had his head well screwed on. Ever since then, the bullion thief has been claiming credit for even the airwe breathe in Lagos, the bridges built and any good thing that came thereafter. The megalomaniac tried to do same in Edo and got roundly rejected. |
You mean like the one where he ring fences the wealth of a region, misappropriates it and shares the rest with cronies. Many of the youths whose destiny he's robbed are working in servitude as Oluomo's foot soldiers or robbing Lagosians in traffic everyday. |
Beremx:Lol, He most likely won't live in his state. Probably will stay in Kaduna. |
I am more concerned about the laws that makes you a citizen or not especially if you were born in Nigeria and grew up there. A man of his age, still not having had citizenship as per few years ago is very interesting and perhaps a misnomer? |
Political Monarchies in Progress... All sons, daughters, uncles and aunts throwing their hats in the ring. ![]() That the richest people in our society are politically exposed persons says a lot hence every crook and their family is also trying to get in there. Top 5 Industries in Nigeria 1. Politics 2. Thuggery/Enforcers 3. Petroleum industry 4. Telecoms 5. Yahoo fraud |
anonimi:Duh! Read the title of the article unless I am arguing with someone of low intellect? Context eludes you if you can only grab a single sentence out of a whole article. anonimi:Again, reductive statements. Away from SM, how do you know I do nothing or educate sections of the electorate about voting for credible candidates, shun stomach infrastructure for votes or accept inducements from politicians in return for votes. My stint here on Nairaland does not reserve vitriol for political candidates who are no good. By the way, I'm done with this your roundabout arguments. No further responses will be possible. |
anonimi:Your demagoguery and nasty money induced politicking maybe means the evil ones win and actual credible people get screened out. Putting up names will be a reductive exercise I'm afraid. I'm sure if you're a credible person you can see other people who can fill up positions without any iota of disrepute. |
anonimi: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-nigeria-election-atiku-exclusive-idUSKCN1PT0TRArticle above. And a FOI request from Americans about how he was able to visit. Below. https://www.citizensforethics.org/reports-investigations/foia-requests/foia-on-atiku-abubakars-visa-lobbying/That you continue to choose many criminals, con artists and questionable characters explains the current state of Nigeria. |
Remember this. He was able to visit after lobbying a few powerful people during Trump's time in power. There was a slight furore over this and reported in the media then. All the same, questionable criminal characters such as Atiku and Tinubu are the types that should never be President. |
This is FAKE NEWS. There is been no corroboration of this news anywhere but on Nairaland and other minor sites. PLEASE desist from allowing your platform becoming another 4Chan. |
kabe1:You be hypocrite na. Like say we'd look kindly at our persons/interests or neighbouring countries who didn't instigate BH conflict but hoping it continues so they can continue to reap benefits. |
kabe1:You missed the part where I asked about others wishing our security issues don't abate because they seek to benefit? You one of those kind of thinkers huh? |
Soldier ant marathon or human marathon? If for humans, its 42KM or 26Miles. My very fit Kenyan friend in his 50's is able to do his in around 4 hours. Show me the video of Tinuke doing just 200M. |
kabe1:That's some really effed up view. Same way other interests are 'hoping' war on insurgency never ends so they benefit?! How much have we expended on fighting insecurity, electricity and all because interests out there will continue to reap rewards from the status quo? |
How are Career criminals the ones ruling over us. Credit card fraud as far back as '86? The other drug cartel bagman and former Lagos Governor is also now planning to be President. |
Lols. Never got convinced about this fella. This is another joker hoping to be President. Only that he actually ruled a state and left it barely better than he met it. |
This is Democracy not Lootocracy where highest bidders are the ones vying to rule. Some of these people who can purchase this DO NOT LOVE NIGERIA such as Mr Bullion Van. They are expressing their interests in order to further loot people's destiny at the national level. Its a disgrace! |
After serving under Tinubu and knowing his antecedents, seems Osinbajo, Amaechi and co are declaring for Presidency cos they know he doesn't mean well. - A man that loves Nigeria would not pocket 10% of Lagos taxes. (Billions of Naira) - Will not seek to foist cronies and family against the choice of millions in the SW - Stole so much he can afford private jet and summon bullion vans without any verified conglomerate/operation/business.

The Nigerian Armed forces should start applying a holistic approach to show their capabilities in areas that directly or indirectly affects security. Pic attached is of a village in Yobe, showing encroaching sand dunes which leads to displacement and probable incentive for some adopt criminal vices to make a living. The Army could dedicate a body within itself to liaise with bodies such as National Agency for Green Wall or state governments and collectively pursue a goal of fighting desertification. This grassroot effort may also lead to greater integration with the local community where we they are looked at as capacity builders and not just warfighters. The effects would be enduring and promote understanding and awareness with the local community of their efforts. Might be increased costs on the budget but I believe we need to start preemptive approaches to stem the current 'whack - a - mole' levels of insecurity springing up in Nigeria.
