Politics › Re: In Your Opinion, Could Tinubu Have Stood A Better Chance If He Did This? by blackpanda: 7:01am On Mar 15, 2022 |
[s] respect80: Less than 9 months from 2023 when the heat of elections would already be at its peak, and considering the remarkable role Tinubu played in bringing Buhari and APC into power, if we're to put aside age and health factors in Bola, Ahmed Tinubu's presidential ambition, could he be standing a better chance if he had come out earlier to clearly state his dissatisfaction with president Muhammadu Buhari’s government, despite playing a key role to champion Buhari and APC into power
Sometimes it takes strength to admit weakness or oversight and Tinubu of all people should have known and used it to his advantage.
Since Tinubu has shown no remorse for his role in helping Buhari and the APC win and retain power from the PDP, despite president Muhammadu Buhari's administration becoming an emblem of hardship, insecurity, poor infrastructural development, nepotism, etc, I am convinced that many of those who oppose the Jagaban sees his ambition as a quest to give Nigerians more of Buhari, since he never found any reason good enough to criticize any of president Muhammadu Buhari’s policies; something most Nigerians perceive as an indication of his satisfaction with the state of affairs in the country.
Perhaps he should have made out time to subtly and constructively criticize Buhari’s administration in solidarity with the larger population of Nigerians who have consistently expressed their displeasure with the ineptitude of Buhari’s administration.
Who knows, there could have been more voices speaking in Tinubu's favour by now if he had earlier come to terms with the sad reality of the unforseen level of hardship that Buhari’s administration has plunged Nigeria and Nigerians into if he was rational enough to subtly criticize Buhari’s government earlier than now.
Some say love is the death of duty. Maybe he could have left some benefit of doubt amongst Nigerians that he actually didn't get what he bargained for(a better Nigeria) by bringing Buhari into power if he dared to admit his disappointment with Buhari’s government ever since. But, his love for his ambition killed his sense of duty which is to watch Buhari closely to ensure what he marketed to Nigerians in 2015 is worthwhile.
Maybe, just maybe, if Tinubu had dared to subtly show some dissatisfaction with how things have been handled from the seat of power, his contributions could have had some positive effects. And, if he was eventually witch hunted for it, it could have been a green light for him to see the necessity to build another political structure which perhaps would have been a force to reckon with by now if he started early enough, or perhaps, not to lay his eggs in one basket. He could have even stood a chance to decamp to PDP or any other party and be embraced under the justification that he fell apart with APC for simply frowning at their mismanagement of power.
One thing I have been pondering upon is why Tinubu opted for the conspiracy of silence, despite his political sagacity, amidst the deplorable state of affairs ranging from poor economy, dilapidated state of infrastructure, insecurity, etc which the country is being bedeviled by so far.
Recognised as a political strategist, it still eludes my imagination why Tinubu failed to foresee the ingratitude and negligence with which this Buhari’s administration has greeted his presidential ambition even before he publicly declared it. Perhaps, he has a cockroach in his cupboard, leaving him cajoled into silence to save himself the political witch hunt Buhari’s administration is infamous for.
The truth is, for someone like me who was an admirers of his political acumen, I think the conspiracy of silence Tinubu has maintained throughout this Buhari’s reign is undeniably a major factor taking its toll on his ambition at the moment.
No thanks to Nigerian electoral system where one man has more voting power than a thousand men otherwise, it is political wisdom to always side with the masses at all times and allow them push your ambitions while you do your duty of loving them in return. But in Tinubu's case, it's more like the love for his ambition rather than the masses became the death of his duty which is "love for the masses."
In conclusion, whether or not Tinubu gets the APC mandate or eventually becomes Nigeria's president, it is incontestable that Buhari and APC have glaring shown their ingratitude and dereliction towards Tinubu's ambition if we're to judge by his inputs in crowning Buhari as Nigeria's number one citizen. ElonEmpire: GoodMorning all ,
I will make this as short as possible. Before marrying my wife she seems to be this very generous and accommodating fellow . I felt fall in Love with her because this is just the kind of partner I want,
I have not really stand very well financially, though comfortable and contented, but I have this great dream of, because of what I pass through to help as much people as I can. While dating her, she told me all kinds of stories of her philanthropic and generous gestures to people.
But moving forward to today, she seems to be direct opposite of everything. She detests people coming close or we offering any kind of help or assistance to family both hers and mine not to talk of friends.
What about suggesting to assist a relative that can't afford, with their child education na war We have not born but I have more than enough space to bring one or two children to see them through school but my wife is not buying is at all at all.
I know who I am before I marry, this is the only thing that gives me joy, and my only reason for asking God everyday to bless me so that I can bless people.
But right now am seriously confused it hurts me alot but I don't wanna force anything against her will.
I have tried discussing it over and over with her but she is still not buying it, with the excuse of that we have not stand enough to carry anybody .
What could be her reasons and What should I do? Your wife may destroy u Be careful. Women are naturally selfish and wicked. Especially Nigerian women that were raised with Nollywood movies . If u want to show kindness to people don't let anyone stop u. because we are on earth for different reasons. And nobody knows tomorrow. |

All the corrupt elements that planned to run out of Nigeria in 2015 changed their minds when they realised the real personality of the president and even took their corruption to higher level. I don't think there has ever been any administration as corrupt as this in the history of Nigeria, whether civilian or military, it is a complete free for all and they don't even hide it. [s] Gemid94: Some electorates under the auspices of the Osinbajo Global Movement have ignored Bola Tinubu to declare their unwavering support for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to secure the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and emerge the next President of the country come 2023.
Recall APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu had earlier declared his intention to run for president in 2023.
However, the group which was made up of participants from the 20 Local Government Councils in the State urged Prof Osinbajo to answer the calls of many Nigerians clamouring for his presidency ahead of the forthcoming election.
In an exclusive with Quest Times, the Diaspora convener for the Osinbajo Global Movement, Dayo Akintobi described the Vice President as a “phenomenal leader” adding that “he should be given the chance to pilot the affairs of the country in 2023”.

Minime10: The question u should first and foremost answer in order to fully grab the reasoning of the Court is; 1. Was umahi an independent candidate in the election he won as a governor in Ebonyi State? 2. Was he a candidate of a political in the election? 3. Was he sponsored by a political party? 4. Is it his name that was on the ballot during the election or the party logo and symbols? The office of the governor umahi was occupaying was at the instance and at the pleasure of the party in whose platform umahi stood to become the governor. Election victories in Nigeria are that of the party and not of the individual. That's not what the law says |
