Sharatan: Good day Nairalanders. Irrespective of the fact that most Nigerian youth think COVID19 is not real, I noticed the new variant is causing a lot of deaths especially for the middle aged group. Most have died of lung related issues this year more than ever and I guess it should be the COVID that's the cause of these deaths even though most people are still blind to the fact. All I am trying to find out now is for those that have had theirs, where I can get my own vaccination shots and how much is being paid for it (cause we all know how everything can be sold in Nigeria even palliatives) I am beginning to get scared of the whole thing. I reside in Lagos mainland.

Presh3173: I'm currently working in an insurance company. The truth is that I want to quit the job and start a tech company. I started learning Android development and Java programming last year, and I look forward to working with determined Nigerian youths who are into tech and willing to startup a company. I need a team of backend and frontend developers who will be the co-founders of the company. Additionally, I need a marketing team for our products.
Note: I need people who are not backstabbers, people who are hardworking, intelligent, innovative and willing to work irrespective of the outcome. If you are interested send me a mail via nairaland or preciousaxxkick4all@gmail.com.
Presh I greet you,
I feel you need to grow alone first before bringing people in.
I know you are creative(maybe more than myself) but people are never backstabbers at the beginning.... I have had my fair share of experience o. People are good at the beginning but once they see profit... Then greed begins....
Why not buy ready made apps, put them on playstore and do your own marketing and you can earn through Admmob or any other ad network?
I love your idea of startup but in this current state of Nigeria where everyone is hungry.... Finding a way to make money without involving people as CO-Founders will give you much peace and make you more creative in the long run.
Often times you will learn that It is better to Employ than to partner with anyone.

sheDD: Our world is becoming f**ked up by days. The things you you think are worth holding on are now regarded as worthless. What's really happening to romance this days and marriages at large. Now let me let me come plain. Please guys let me understand the reason why some guys chose "mediocrity" over "decency" I had to put these two cardinal word in asterisk cos I don't know if those two have another meaning that I don not know.
1) A guy chose to get married to a chronic wh*ore . Not by deceit ,not by coercion. I mean this particular guy knows the girl is heavily involved into the who're bizness but chose to marry her anyway. Note, not when the gal has stopped d lifestyle, but was active in it and d guy has to implore her to drop d bizness and join him in matrimony. I'm just confused it makes no sense to me! 2) I know of a lady in my hood. All and sundry knows this very gal is a renowned nightwalker. But let me shock you!
This gal has 3 kids out of wedlock. But as I'm typing this to you a guy is in her tail for marriage. As in, what's really happening to our menfolks. 3) A friend to my sister has other two sisters. Among d three sisters one has 3 kids in marriage. A guy got involved with one of d sis that ain't got any kid. Coming to their house to visit; this said guy saw d other sis that has kids already and already was head over wheel for d other sis that already has kids.
Even took the whole feeling to d next level of proposing and making marriage advances with d lady that has kids. While jettisoning d other former gal. All advices and meaningful projections made to d guy didn't move him. So no more juicy slot for our "good" girl. With all this alterations in our social. Should all ladies be given an open cheque to bask in d who're life style?
I'm somewhat angry, not that I should be ooo Cos is none of my business. But then I'm confused, has decency assumed another meaning that I know not.
What is really happening to our world.
Low quality now attract higher bidder
Marriage is NOT success Read that again..
Why do you think it is like that?
Many who marry in such ways know what exactly their goals are.
Some of the so called whoooress are veryyyyyyy good in character but can ONLY survive by sex and then got addicted go it. Many of these so called loose ladies do not pretend or form and that is why many guys can go for them because they give peace of mind.
Meanwhile the ones who may be in church today, leading on the pulpit as choristers or prayer leaders or even pastors or ushers are secret p*ornstars who feel caged by religion and other parental and societal moral values.
So sadly everyone is wearing masks and hiding their true deviant nature, all in a bid to enter heaven by good works.
So just Understand that the world is ending.... Get ready and be on the right side. Pretenses will not survive what is coming. People are tired already, so soon people will no longer date each other, they will just ask for sex and that's it.
pompliano: Ok so I don't wanna be aired, hence why I'm creating this topic with a new account. Anyway, I'm gonna cut straight to the chase. I'm a Nigerian born guy but British bred in my very early thirties. Not been in Nigeria for about 13 years or so and will be visiting family as soon Covid-19 related travel ban has been lifted here or later on in the year. I'm not from Lagos and the friends that I knew from Lagos way back also live aborad. After seeing the fams, I will be spending my last three days in Lagos, out of which I would love to visit a few places such as:
1. Nike Art Gallery 2. A nice beach 3. Lekki Conservative Centre and any other art, nature and culture adventures. Basically anywhere of interest (I'm so open to suggestions) 4. And oh the night life.
So here's the deal, I'm looking for a lady who is also interested in this stuffs cuz common I'll bore my brains out going these places on me own, I would like an experience and adventure. So if you're a lady between 20-30 age range, get in touch and course you'll get paid for your service. You must:
1. Know Lagos like the back of your hand 2. Be Educated 3. Be able to hold a conversation 4. Be interested in nature, culture, history, arts, music, street food etc. (Not necessarily all but nature, culture and music takes the front seat) 5. Be pretty (We can have a makeshift date if you're game). 6. Be a non-cigarette smoker
Drop a message if you relate, no pressure
Stop deceiving yourself. You're jus looking for a smart escort.
Next time come out straight. The "tour guide" shinanigan wouldn't work.

Usorohtheman: Okay,. I understand you. So that means from what you are saying, there is no need to apply for jobs if one does not have a skill.
Yes. The skills you have will guarantee your income.... Job or no job.
Many who have jobs know for a fact that there is nothing like JOB security in naija, and they do not even have time to learn a skill that could give them a side businesses...
Upgrade yourself in everyway before applying for jobs. Start a business too if Jobs are delaying. Time waits for no one
Usorohtheman: Thanks but from the way, you are sounding, I think you are referring to ICT skills. Also, is that what you mean by the world is different now?
Is comedy skit an ICT course? Is farming an ICT course? Is sewing of mask, making sanitizer an ICT skill? Yet many are making millions from it.
Ask yourself a brutal but honest question... Is it a good JOB you want, orrrrrr you just want to make serious MONEY?
Bro... The world is different now means Covid has changed the way business is being done. You need to upgrade. Many of the things you expected to work in 2018 will not work in 2021.... Life has MOVED, so you should also move... Stop seeking old ways in a new world.
Usorohtheman: What kind of skill do you think I should learn?
That's the wrongest question sir... I do not know you personally so I can not choose for you.
Sadly, You should have been reoriented about the real world before leaving school, you would have discovered some secrets...
That Naija does not favor certificate but sabificate. You need a lucrative skill in a field that suits you. People pay for skill and not for paper certificates. Having connect is no longer the key, you need a skill that brings out the genius in you...
Its shocking tha with all the skill programs that have been advertised here on nairaland even for FREE.... You are here still looking for a job? Since 2018?
Bro, there are many skills available but only you can choose the one that resonates with you, how you will know it is that your personality traits agree with it. Just like kids who are talkative will be excellent lawyers or marketers or media hosts....
So google skills and research on each of them to see which one really resonates with your personality and you can then find how to learn it on YouTube or here on nairaland for FREE
Usorohtheman: Good evening everyone. Please, I need the help of this my second family I have in real life.
I rounded up my service since 2018 and to be candid with you guys, I have never been invited to a job interview. However, I am a teacher in a private secondary school. What am I not doing rightly??
I'm 26 by the way.
You're doing okay.
Take time to learn a new skill. The world is different now.
Zzor: I don't know why I'm always mentioned for the wrong reasons, even if its prayer I prayed for someone it won't still go down well with lots of you,if I reply insults its still a problem while the initiator will be ignored,I will soon leave Nairaland for you people.
See calm down, you create interesting topics and lots of engagement happens on your threads so you are an influencer in case you dont know.... People will always tag you.
