It is very important to remind these people that the people who formed the "democracy" they're copying were averse to formation of political parties. It only happened there by necessity. This stupid statement by APC proves why those people thought so. This country is in real trouble because it seems to me that every last person in position of consequence in this country is a dumb fool. By the way, what is 96% etc. Isn't it A B C per subject that they do in NECO, WAEC? Nigerians also celebrate "best this" "best that" per single individuals instead of how the lowest performers are doing. The lowest performers are the ones who will ultimately decide the direction of any society (can u wrap your head round that?) and so it's important to bring up the lowest rather than abandoning them and focusing on the best in class |
I am the very foremost original purveyor of this narrative today. People might have had such ideas before me but in this information age, I am the one, not all these jobbers. But alas, I'm wasting away screaming it on nairaland and twitter and Facebook. As the real owner of the narrative, I can also tell easily if only I was consulted, that it will NEVER work if it is owned by the government. Government is supposed to empower original agitators like me on our various initiatives, we who pay the price everyday for living an impossible existence in this cesspit of backwardness and corruption called Nigeria. If someone like me were empowered, my life story would be a great impetus for some kid out there struggling between morality and the crooked life the reality of Nigeria will force on you if you want to survive and thrive. But no: they give it to "the boys". The campaign is defeated from start! As always, NIGERIA IS A JOKE! |
EdoBoy90:It is people like you that constitute the vast and overwhelming majority of Nigerians and that's why our country gets worse and worse every time. You believe in names and certificates. When Nigerian economy was still sane and properly run, do you know the education of our finance ministers then? One was a lawyer and the other was teacher-training certificate. Nigerians do not understand what is needed or essential to better their nation. When what they're doing isn't working, they don't question their fundamental assumptions on it; instead they double down even more. Nigeria: mumu people, mumu nation! |
Godfullsam:I never voted GEJ one day and think he should never have been president, but Nigerian values - your values - made him president. Back to topic: given Nigerian decay, if every president stole 10 billion naira each since independence (adjusted back for inflation) and no Nigerian was also a crook stealing and destroying Nigeria in his own station, Nigeria would have a lot more wealth today. Put things in context. I note with great glee how angry Nigerians were when Buhari launched #changebeginswithme because you all want only the president to change while you continue destroying the country in your own station. One day, one of you will then become president and is then expected to suddenly be an angel. NIGERIA IS A JOKE! |
Backward people. I am Edo origin. The main industry of Bini women is global prostitution. It's an industry. Let them keep deceiving themselves. Black man is still an ape! PS: one mistake ppl keep making in Nigeria is to morph all people in an area as one, disregarding if there is indeed an ethnicity difference. It is not only Bini people that are indigenous to Edo state. I am not Bini; can't speak the language. Educated yoruba still call all Northerners Hausa and remarkably, they refer to all Southerners not yoruba as "Ibo" including Edo, Delta tribes, "Calabar" tribes etc - all are Ibo. Don't take it as nothing. Ask your grandparents what that meant in the '60 - it could mean whether you live or die! BLACK MAN IS STILL AN APE! |
The day Muslims will start their own, I hope these fools, also known as Christians, would shut up and continue what they started. Contrary to how Christians generally believe - which shows in how OP wrote his post - in Islam, the politics is the religion and they're one and the same. You can't see it now because they don't have the power to make it a reality in Nigeria (go and see the Muslim North for an idea). I've written about this before here: if active Christian theologians do not vacate the political stage, when the Muslims wise up and begin their own, all bets will be off where they take Nigerian society to. Nigeria was supposed to be a secular state; now they've modified it to "multi-religious". Go and check the dictionary for what "secular" means and whether it's the same as "multi-religious". Religion poisons everything! |
CandyDiamond:Lemme just explain sth as if you're willing to learn. Most Nigerians aren't. There are less than 200 countries worldwide in the UN. Africa is the continent with the least enlightened people in the world. Evey clan wants to be an independent "country" and the empty-headed people have no idea what it means. If given the chance at every turn, Africa will make the United Nations have 10,000 countries within a few years. Even the Ibo Biafra will experience a split into several peoples wanting to be a country. Removing some people from a country to become another country will be fraught with a lot of instability and even wars. Let me make an anecdote here: after fighting Sudan for 30yrs to become a breakaway country of. South Sudan, all they've ever known in the new country since independence has been war. The losing warlord has run away from South Sudan now; where is he? SUDAN THE FORMER ENEMY COUNTRY! Black man is still an ape. Black societies need to edify themselves first instead of using income from natural resources to pay foreigners to build flashy, white elephant projects in their jungles and mistake it as "development". I hate to write; so much more to say |
APCHaram:If you were born in 1914 how old would you be in 1956 or 1960? Would you still be sucking mummu's breasts? Always find a correct context to lean your argument on |
Oche211:That's the mistake the govt has been making since time immemorial. Instead of differentiating the CRIMINALS from the people and win over the people, they lump both together and hence the criminals gain the moral high ground. This is even easier to do than the Boko Haram case. These THIEVES don't give a rat's ass about the people. It's not an opinion now after almost 20 years of pumping money in the region. They've looted all the money and the people are still where they were. Any person with brain in Nigerian government This PhD and Harvard business seem to be dulling the brains of our govt officials o |
STFUareyouG0d:Let them keep deceiving themselves. Women are a commodity worldwide in varying degrees; more so in Nigeria. I don't have money now so I can't patronise. When I have money, I will resume patronising them. I'm not bitter - it's just a fact of life. What annoys me is when they deny it. Even your wife, they ask you to pay "bride price" and tell you cos it's 100 naira you're not actually buying her. You're deceiving yourselves: in times past you will be charged a rate of buying a human being and the "tradition" lingers. |
As long as there's this access to money from politics, so long also will politics never lead to development in Nigeria |
OnucheAdams:I'm in my 40s. As I read this your post, from a culmination of arguments I've had on this topic, my eyes are watery - I'm holding myself from crying. NIGERIA IS LOST! Nigerians DO NOT KNOW where they are in the scheme of things. They've been deluded for so long that they're somebodies. I saw them in the UK and I avoided them. They move around with great arrogance that they're "too much". How can you ever fix your country when you don't even know the depth of misery you're in. The whole of Africa is backward anyway, so to even be comparing nations within Africa is painful enough for me. There are 54 countries in Africa. In terms of quality of life of the average citizen, "Giant of Africa" Nigeria is not amongst the top 20 IN AFRICA! Let them keep counting Dangote or Davido or P-Square or their artificial city of Abuja, built from scratch by government money (perhaps the most wasteful project in African history); some of us know better |
aresa:It is a testimony to the failure of Nigeria that I am reduced to exchanging spats with epic nobodies like you on Nairaland because those who control this country have run away from me in fear, lest my project to repair Nigeria exposes their hypocrisy. I was born in Nigeria. I am TRAPPED in Nigeria. It pains me everyday. But if I can get a miracle and you can help me emigrate to Kenya and start a life, I WON'T TURN IT DOWN! Put your money where your mouth is! Lastly, to give you a knockout blow to show you how dumb, clueless and a victim of Nigerian backwardness you are, I AM NOT AN IBO. Anyone who reads my posts knows Ibos are the only ethnic group I've attacked on Nairaland because of the Civil War issue. I hold them responsible for the destruction of Nigeria by introducing the military in governance and it wasn't just "some Igbo officers" but a full-blown Igbo conspiracy. My posts are there for all to read. Dumb fool, I won't indulge you again. Hell, maybe I'm old enough to be your father or at least your uncle, since I have a nephew over 25yrs old. USE THE INTERNET TO READ, LEARN AND GROW, NOT ARGUE WITH YOUR SUPERIORS. I HAVE READ THESE THINGS OVER 30 YEARS STARTING WHEN THERE WAS NO INTERNET |
Let me just add a footnote here. For those who accuse people like me of hating their country or their race or tribe or any other stupid box they create by themselves to put you in: when you love something and wish for it to excel and that thing wilfully frustrates you, you would be the worst fool to join the delusion and say all is well. It is that stupidity that has perpetuated black man in the sorrows that have defined his existence. "The whole world is my country; all of mankind are my brethren; to do good is my religion" - Thomas Paine |
aresa:You ape, where do you know? Where have you been to and who have you met? A small rat like you but much much more influential and consequential in Nigeria is called Gbenga Sesan. His twitter handle is @gbengasesan. When he first visited Kenya, he screamed on twitter. He never believed Kenya was that modern because he's been fed the same kool-aid as the rest of you his whole life here. You're "competing" with South Africa? You're a fool. South Africa is Europe in Africa. You have NO CLUE! You think it is a Black-manged country? It is now certainly a Black-Mismanaged country. I HAVE LIVED IN SOUTH AFRICA! I've interacted with Kenyans there too. You don't know shit! |
aresa:You're dumb without knowing it. I just described your type in my post. Go and check the world's human development indices of several world organisations monitoring these things. Have you heard of "per capita" anything? What family do you want to belong to as a child: a family of 4 with 40,000 naira income or a polygamous, loud-mouthed family of 4 wives 25 children (total 30) with 80,000 naira income? Your country has had free money almost its entire independence and you rank amongst the poorest countries in the world that never made a dollar from oil. You're like Goodluck Jonathan that says Nigeria is doing great because we have such and such number of private jets. I can not begin to go into detail here and I don't think you deserve such gratuitous exertion on my part. NIGERIA IS A CASE OF HUMAN TRAGEDY! |
As a Nigerian, I say Kenya is a far better country than Nigeria. Only a fool like Fani-Kayode and so many others like him don't know that. In all aspects, by the way. No free lectures; go and research yourselves. I would rather be a Kenyan anyday than be a Nigerian. Nigeria is particularly a disgrace to Africa and the black race in general and nothing exemplifies this more than the fact that they don't even realise it! |
Reference:It is not your premises. Islam is the religion that encourages adherents to dictate how all of society should run in the minutest detail, and that detail is welded to 7th century Arabia for all of eternity. Even the printing press did not exist at that time; not one vaccine existed at the time. YOU HAVE NO IDEA! |
Man must wack! |
Ayatullah:If we all who wish to leave this hell hole had the chance, you'll certainly have enough room for yourself here. So ignorant! |
Max24:He died for nothing. You're right, Abiola also died for nothing. I know it's painful to hear the truth. But if you have any point besides superfluous emotion, table it. Just imagine the deceased's family hearing you defend him for dying for his car! They'll see to it that you quickly join him |
Lol at religion of peace. Everyone who follows my account knows I harbour no affection for religion but the Islamic version just goes way over what can be tolerated |
As long as the prevailing and accepted wisdom in Nigeria is that government is the one to do directly for the people, instead of facilitating the people to do for themselves, we will never develop (except we discover gold bigger than all space covered by oil; even that will crash the worldwide price of gold) As I've always said, both the government and the people of Nigeria do not know how nations develop. Those of us who may know have been shut out of society and rendered destitute. Have you seen the unrest in Venezuela lately? Their problem is also because they're a nanny state as Nigeria aspires to be. The people will forever be infants! |
My own remains the same: Nigeria is a joke; the mods are a joke for having the temerity to block me. If they're not part of Nigeria's problems, why can't they contact me and link me to people I can work with to challenge Nigerians to better their country? Well as you all can now see since you were all too dumb to listen before the elections, no single individual can change this country. The problem with Nigeria is all the people - their agreed standards and way of life. I'm not an Ibo who's looking for the slightest justification to crucify Buhari. I'm what most Nigerians no longer are: a Nigerian who wishes for a better country because I know my fortunes are tied to it. It is called enlightened self-interest. Most people here only have parochial self-interest. Just as Jonathan was never supposed to be president because he has almost no political philosophy or convictions, so also Buhari isn't supposed to be president because he's so old school and steeped in tribal and sectional considerations. They tell me, who then should be president? Are you that dumb? In 180 million people, you allow the Nigerian Mafia crooks to put two clueless people to choose from? Why didn't you affect the process before it culminated in these two people? I've tried my best. The powerful people and influential people have heard my voice; but they don't want to do anything about the system, trust me. ALL OF NIGERIA IS A JOKE! I can do nothing other than to laugh at you all whenever the dumb mods don't suspend me. Haha! |
In Nigeria, the goal is to be everything and own everything. Everyone else is to live under your mercy and hence worship you. Ibos hail each other by that term called "okosisi", the one tree that itself makes a forest. Nigeria can never progress to where the modern world is because we are founded on wrong values |
LesbianBoy:My dya broda, Nigeria is a joke. I'm not a kid and I've seen a lot before concluding |
