Don't ever repeat that trash, you THING. You must be a freaking child. Do you think Turkey is Nigeria? Turkish soldiers in government saved Turkey from Islamic backwardness and soldiers in Nigerian government DESTROYED Nigeria and added religion to national life. If anyone ever repeats this your charge, may they die a terrible death very soon. Yes, I mean it: the military ruined my life

Nollywood has not matured well enough to do historical movies; it's always a comedy of errors. Alas, the target consumers themselves aren't sophisticated enough to pick out the faults anyway, so no problems

Bros, you just broke my heart with your life story albeit short. What do you do now for a living?
Thank you. As you can imagine, almost 45 is a long time and I've had a lot of activities in life which that post doesn't come close to reflecting. Right now, what irks me and the reason for my post is that inspite of my efforts to get back on my feet, there's no provision for people like us in the eyes of govt or society. I can not find real capital to invest in my business for the reason the OP has stated. I live by generosity of one or two of my siblings after having run out of the monies I sourced myself. What irks me the most is I have a huge lot to offer, not to be treated as a charity case, but people don't patronise a small starter and I don't have as little as 1.5 million at once to come out big (a shop/office alone would gulp +500k in a good place). I deal in tech which is capital intensive but I'm very good in things I involve myself in. You can send a code so I can reach you privately. I insist I'm not a charity case; I bring a lot to the table. Thanks

You are what we have in mind when we say Nigerians are the ones who made corruption possible, that they're the ones who will fight and kill themselves on behalf of those who robbed them of their future and wellbeing. When we tell people they exist and are many, they say we're lying oya people, come and see one. THE PROBLEM WITH NIGERIA IS THE NIGERIAN PEOPLE THEMSELVES, A FEW OF WHOM ARE IN GOVERNMENT!

You are a pathetically ignorant typical Nigerian. The queen of England was the emperor of 1/4 of all humanity. Nigeria does not even count. All your Obas and Oonis are clowns. The only two monarchs who resisted the superiority of the British monarchs were the Sultan of Sokoto and the Oba of Benin. They were subsequently engaged in a war and defeated. Sultan was killed and Oba Ovonranmen was exiled. All the rest "monarchs" are clowns. It AMAZES me that Nigerians take that anachronistic and very backward institution of petty tribal lords seriously in 2016

I wrote something to rebut the points for discrimination but it vanished without showing up. I'm devastated as I'm a weak typist and hate going back on my train of thought. I said

1. This has made people lie a lot now

2. Not everyone wants a job. Why should such discrimination persist in all aspects of society? What has BOI loan got to do with age?

3. It's actually a frederal offence in the US to discriminate against people on a long list of reasons, stated in all their correspondence to you.

We haven't even mentioned degree class discrimination

So many issues; so little understanding by the generality of people who always think anything extant is the correct thing

My brother, I am the one you're talking about. I am now weak; I only abuse people now. Nigeria destroyed my life. When things go wrong for you and you're the victim, Nigerians don't pity you - they blame you. I am in my 40s now, wasting away. Do the maths, those in their 40s today are the ones whom Babangida destroyed their teenage and early youth years; they're the ones who had the misfortune of experiencing SAP riots, ASUU wars with FG, June 12, Shonekan riots, Abacha riots. One single generation. If I think back at these things, I start to cry. They destroyed my life. I was the top student in my secondary school WASC. I was from poor and ignorant parents and the first in all my extended family to be brilliant enough to aspire to university (not today when it is now the normal next step open to all clowns, hence the low quality). BABANGIDA corrupted the country and they destroyed JAMB and our results of 1990 became a joke due to leakage (never heard of) of the questions. I've never been the same. The kids of today are jokers. They have NO IDEA the hell we continue to live in. The society almost seems to carry on like we didn't exist. I brought up people in the present generation and can do comparisons. In my days, there were NO scholarships anywhere. Today, there are COUNTLESS scholarships, both by companies, individuals, state governments, Federal Government, both within Nigeria and remarkably, SO MANY ABROAD. There was just this BEA scholarships to the then Eastern Block during my time and the few recipients were either those in the order of having 7 straight A1s or having connections, maybe a total of a few scores of people all over Nigeria and they still pick by state quota and being from Edo, I was already disadvantaged. My life has been a tragedy for the very reason I set out in life to be a good honest boy who cared to have a better future and sacrificed so much for it. It has helped me conclude that THERE IS NO GOD CONTROLLING ANYTHING IN THIS WORLD. Most people will never know what I've seen in this life, hence they won't have a reason to come to that conclusion, except if they had the rare intellectual capacity to examine it.

Newmanluckyman:
No matter how unpopular and autocratic the govt of the day was, the use of military coup to change the govt is simply crude and unacceptable. Having said that, a military coup is a military coup. There is nothing like an 'igbo man coup', 'yoruba man coup', or an hausa man coup.

Though the incidence of January 1966 was very unfortunate but what was more tragic was when that coup was tribalised which finally snowballed into a fiery burning forest. Till date, tribalism still remains the bane of our society. Similar coup have taken place in the country after the 1966 saga and nobody or group has ever tribalised it to be a coup from a certain tribe of the country. So why 1966 coup?
It is because you don't know that you talk like this. First coup was Igbo coup, every other coup has been by Northerners; only Igbo and North have ever carried out a coup in Nigeria. Igbo is the one that gave "Hausa man" the power he wielded for a generation until Obasanjo balanced it a bit. It is Igbo that makes me and you to be suffering in Nigeria today by allowing military force to enter politics. It is Igbo and I don't care if you are one. If you think ever last Igbo went for the meeting to conspire to make a coup, then YOU have to have your head examined. That doesn't stop it from being an Igbo coup. Afterall, all those Igbo market people mocking Northerners IN THE NORTH for the death of Sardauna didn't attend any coup meetings either but enjoyed the "glory" of their brothers. Till today the Igbos are still clannish, sectional and hate their fellow Igbos who elect to be Nigerian than Ibo (eg Ezekwesili, Utomi etc)
PoliticsRe: I’m Happy I Witnessed The Killing Of My Parents-– Ademulegun's Daughter by blackprowler: 8:43pm On Jul 16, 2016
logicab:
Long and short; these guys were cold blooded murderers. Remember even one of the wives of the Sardauna was shot dead. It was no error. They just did not care who they killed. That night at the palace, Nzeogwu personally shot 3 of the guards and one of his own subordinates who did not follow orders quickly enough.

She was confirmed pregnant. That was why she, who was only 6 years old at the time was asked. The interviewer already knew she was pregnant at the time she was murdered.

Yes, Ifeajuna the mastermind knew exactly the purpose of the coup. He used Awolowo's detention to fool Ademoyega knowing the typical educated Yoruba man's deification of Awo. Awo was in jail, and according to them they wanted to release him and make him Prime Minister. So how come no action (and I mean NONE at all) was observed at the Calabar Prison where Awo was being held at the time? That says a lot.
You're very emotional, opinionated on this issue. That's the problem with Nigeria: people don't approach a discussion to improve themselves or find a solution, but to win. What do you think a soldier's job is? To make tea? I've been reading about this issue since 1985 and I've read all sides and I've always had a scientific quality of an open mind. Do you know how many people Benjamin Adekunle "killed" in same manner as Nzeogwu? You need to check your civilian sensibilities at the gate when discussing military matters as it's a parallel world. To harden your heart and cope, I suggest you watch old movies of WWII and the Holocaust. As I said previously, those women were in the way and were accordingly shot. They were absolutely of no material objective to the attempted coupists. Abi I neva blame Ibo reach?

Yes, it's a military thing. But military people I'm familiar with are way too honorable to kill a pregnant woman. That's the difference. That should tell you the nature of these coup plotters; they were definitely not heroes nor patriots.
There are many things emotion doesn't allow us to reason properly about. First, I've battled Ibo people tire about Nigerian Civil War and I insist they deserve even worse as they've not been able to learn any lessons even in 2016, from 1966. But let me point out a thing or two from this very interview. The plotters shot the woman first. There's no way that was part of the plan. She was an unexpected hindrance to their plans. Remember these guys have prepped for a kill. When she had been shot, they probably realise that wasn't the goal and then took the guy they were after to be shot somewhere else. Maybe they couldn't finish her off because they couldn't bring themselves to repeat the error. Painful to contemplate leaving her in a worse state, but entirely possible. Secondly, as you can see from the interview, the then girl didn't know if her mom was pregnant. Pregnancy takes nine months to term and it doesn't always show itself as a big stomach the whole time. If human beings could dispassionately look at issues, it would save them from a whole lot of disaster. Ibos went to war and lost 1 million lives, with unspeakable hardships and destruction of their land because they were angry that they initially lost 30,000 people after the counter-coup. That's stupidity and that's stupidity that reigns to this day in Nigeria.
I affirm that the first coup was a conspiracy amongst the Ibo elite, the extent of which wasn't even known to some of the Ibo plotters like Nzeogwu himself, let alone Ademoyega. I take solace in the fact that the evil mastermind of it all, Emmanuel Ifeajuna, was shot at the stake by his fellow Ibo on the orders of Ojukwu. What a tragic set of misadventurers

They've completely abandoned their country's educational institutions and hospitals. When they go abroad to consume same service, the likelihood that it will be offered by same Nigerians goes up every day. Nigerians constitute a large chunk of the UK's medical workforce and a growing number of university faculty. I wonder how these people keep their faces when they're interviewed by immigration officials. I can imagine these officials asking "what have you come to do in the UK?" and getting the recurrent answer "I've come for my child's graduation". UNA NO FIT BUILD UNIVERSITY, they would wonder, not knowing they've built universities to excess here and it has all become a huge joke. Nigeria is rot on to of rot. Oyibos know we are apes. The fundamental way in which governments see how a nation should develop is wrong in Nigeria. Now they sign big contracts with foreign firms to bring so-called experts here to collect big pay, and then they control who they get on the employment train here on the project, in a country where entrepreneurs abound and are looking for government patronage, especially in this very low-tech business. In the countries where they even have their own solar industry the government still encourages private individuals to patronise small businesses in this field and hence employment is created without the man-know-man addiction of Nigeria. Nigeria is nowhere because all our leaders are only experts in human manipulation and not about technology or a good idea how their nation should grow

Children of privilege never ever admit they're products of their privileged backgrounds, instead they insist they're wherever they're put based on merit. I just laugh. If you've been to Harvard for example and you think you're too much, just get on the street and pick 3 children and give them exactly the opportunities you had from their ages all the way to Harvard and report back to me which one didn't have the intelligence to cope. Chances are all 3 or a minimum of 2 will do just as well, if not better. Most of what human beings call high achievement, especially in getting degrees and appointments, are within the abilities of almost all human beings, given same circumstances. I hate it when they stick their noses up and think they're talented/gifted

2. So in this severe economic condition, some apes are still having 7 children? When I see the cockroaches menacing my house and I want to kill them, I keep seeing so many about to "deliver" their cocoons with more cockroaches! I kill those first!
3. Bible actually says it's better not to have sex, but if you can't "hold body", then get married. So, inspite of her holiness making her to preach on the road and disturb people, she still like to "fire" so taay, she deliver 7 children?!

All the people being indignant for being prosecuted for corrupt practices have a point because they know it's standard practice that everybody is involved in, so why are they being singled out?
