There is this HUGE urban redevelopment project proposed for PH called the "Greater Port Harcourt City" project, and it's going to forever change the face of Port Harcourt. This project will further boost the economic importance to the east, and finally provide an appropriate environment for multinational corporations to operate (that are close to the fields). In the next decade, PH is going to be seeing some major changes. |
Nairaland and facebook are two totally different website that have totally different functions- why are they being compared?? |
This is just sad, this guy went from studying at UC Davis (one of the best universities in California) to living as a transient in a forest. I am really interested into knowing what exactly happened to him in the summer he came back from school, people just don't go mentally unstable for no reason. ![]() |
Transient charged with setting blaze 6 days before Station fire https://www.latimes.com/media/photo/2009-10/49944566.jpg Officials say they're still investigating whether Babatunsin Olukunle, a 25-year-old Nigerian national, may have played a role in the massive Station wildfire as well. By Richard Winton and Andrew Blankstein October 20, 2009 A man sought for questioning in the massive Station wildfire that killed two firefighters has been arrested and charged with setting a smaller blaze less than a week before in Angeles National Forest, authorities said Monday. Babatunsin Olukunle, a 25-year-old Nigerian national, appeared briefly in a Pasadena courtroom and pleaded not guilty to the felony charge of setting a fire Aug. 20 on U.S. Forest Service land. "We are going to talk to him about the Station fire, but we're not going to list him as a suspect [in that fire] just yet," said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Liam Gallagher, who is leading the arson-homicide probe. The arrest comes as officials announced Friday that the largest brush fire in Los Angeles County history had finally been contained -- a full 52 days after it started. The blaze burned 160,577 acres and cost an estimated $95.2 million to fight, according to authorities. The fire broke out Aug. 26 off Angeles Crest Highway near a ranger station north of La Cañada Flintridge. While officials have determined the fire was deliberately set, they have struggled to develop solid leads pointing to the arsonist. Olukunle was arrested Thursday collecting recyclables in Lancaster, more than a week after detectives announced they wanted to question him. It remains unclear what role, if any, he played in the Station blaze. Law enforcement sources familiar with the case said that investigators so far have firm evidence only that the transient set a small fire six days before the Station fire. That earlier fire occurred at mile marker 36 of Angeles Crest Highway, approximately six miles from where the Station fire erupted. Like the Station fire, the earlier blaze was started off Angeles Crest Highway during the afternoon. Two Forest Service employees who spotted Olukunle setting the first blaze ordered him to stay put while they extinguished the flames. But investigators say he slipped away into the woods. Detectives received several tips about a transient walking up and down Angeles Crest Highway for several months before the Station fire. Detectives believe Olukunle was that transient. Olukunle's family has told investigators that he came home from UC Davis for summer break in 2007, began acting strangely and disappeared in July. He was arrested in November 2007 in Redondo Beach for "illegal camping" and in April of this year he was placed on a 72-hour mental-observation hold by authorities in Crescenta Valley. yeswecan:I wholeheartedly agree, she looks like a fool. |
How could someone try to terminate a baby after 7 months in the tummy? That's fucking sick, if she succeeded then your wife is a murderer. ![]() |
EDIT: Just read the entire thing, WOW!!! NO COMMENT! |
Why do you go around throwing out numbers that aren't true? The HIV/AIDS rate in Nigeria is below 5% dumbass. It's funny how you only concentrated on that one part of my post and not the rest. . . .says a lot. . . |
I'd say Egypt. |
Chicken! |
While some Nigerians are hustlers and can be loud and in your face, underlying that is a self-confidence rare in Africa, and an abundance of traits necessary for success. When South African criminal gangs were roasting immigrants over bonfires, the only group that did something about it was the Nigerians. ![]() |
Wow, there are seriously too many money hungry individuals preaching in the name of god. . . hellfire awaits them. ![]() |

You guys are messing up the game, read the first page please!! ![]() |
^ I know how you feel. Sometimes when I get into debates and have long winded responses, all of a sudden they just disappear; I get so friggin pissed!!! |
Don't pay any attention to our guest, euro He should be more worried about his own cavebrothers and sisters going extinct as opposed to whats happening across the Mediterranean. |
oyinda.:https://i36.tinypic.com/voag0p.gif oyinda.:I get your point, but I think it would be much harder for someone named Tequan to get a job, as opposed to someone named Uzochi. . . ![]() |
^ Correct! I knew that would be too easy, your turn. ![]() |
@ poster The UK would probably be your best bet. Walk into Croydon and file for asylum, but make sure you tell them you are Congolese (or some other nationality where their country is really messed up) to increase your chances. Because things are so messed up over there, you'd have at least a few months to disappear before they try and deport you. In that time you should be able to find a nice british ![]() |
@ suxes2005 Congrats on going to CSUN, its a great school. There are numerous opportunities for you to get involved with showbusiness here in LA. If you find the right connections, you can start off being an "extra" (person who plays random roles), and make about $500+ for doing just a few scenes. If you find yourself being an extra in film after film, you will have quite a miniature fortune lol. From there you might just find your way into larger roles. . .but don't get your hopes too high (no offense). In all honesty though, if you don't have the right connections, you won't make it anywhere. Lots of people are fooled into believing hollywood is some place where you can magically walk into an audition room and become an actor. Its not that easy. If you want to get into that business, you need to have some exposure. Go to a few playhouses, get involved in some drama clubs, etc. That is how you gain your connections. If you're not interested in film, there are many other things out there for you to do. Best of luck. ![]() |
Damn, I should have cheated. I got 8.

@ bawomolo Can you clear up something you said earlier? When you say people who are opposed to mixed relationships are racist, do you mean the ones who oppose other peoples' mixed relationships, or the ones who have their own personal preference of not wanting to date outside of their race? If its the latter then call me a racist all you'd like. I have very little interest in women who are not black, and I definitely have no interest in marrying, let alone creating mulatto offspring with a woman who is not black. You might call it racist, but I call it preference. |
Are you skilled? You should look towards Australia and Canada if you are; these countries have growing economies and have high demand for immigrants. |
Ikomi:It's quite possible, but from what I see, I doubt it. Ikomi: ![]() |
No, but you can find many articles and personal accounts that will support my statements. |
WHY NOT ISREAL? LOOK UP "ZOG" AND THEN LOOK AT HOW MANY ZIONISTS HAVE TREMENDOUS INFLUENCE IN MANY NATIONS ACROSS THE WORLD. |
