I knew about PND but never thought it could happen to me as I was overjoyed when I took in a few months after my wedding. When I recognised the symptoms was when my mum spoke to me. I kept saying I had to snap out of it but it still took almost a month.

Its God that helps mothers at such times. If I mention the kinda thoughts I had, I would have been hung by my neck and burnt while alive.

I had it with my first baby. It was so bad that my mum called me aside n asked if the baby was a mistake. I didn't set eyes on my baby until day 3 and it was one of the nurses that said I shld go up n see my baby (he was being treated for jaundice). It was just God n the people around me that helped me thru that phase.

My 3 week old baby has a rash all over his body. It started with the neck and we thought it was prickly heat. Now, its all over his face and head. I am getting worried.

I have. I found out it only happened when I don't burp my baby before putting him down. I remember the first time it happened. I had just breastfed him in the night, he was about 3 weeks old. I put him down to do up my bra before burping him and it came out of his mouth, nose and ears. I thought he was dying. It was my mum that explained what happened.

Not that I was a bad mom but it happened 3 or 4 more times b4 it registered in my subconscious that I had 2 burp first and put him down later.

In addition to all that has been said, Odunnu, all you have done is postponed the evil day. You have refused to confront the behaviour and you are saying you will do so next time. Let me tell you what will happen. You will put your foot down and they will be so shocked.
