I have been at both ends of the spectrum. I was looking for job until my baby was 4 months old. You wont believe the kind of liberties that people will take with you. Any family member that was coming into Lagos expected that i shhould go and pick them from the airport (cos i have nothing better to do abi?). My husband stopped that one immediately (how can i carry a newborn and be driving round). People expect that you have nothing to do except solve their issues.
I got requests like "help me pick up jnr from school, please help with my baby's immunisation, etc".

I was always doing housework, carrying a clingy baby, cooking and generally being pissed off with the world. Thank God for work and its associated benefits. Anytime, i feel very frustrated at work and i want to just resign and be a stay at home mum, i remember those days and buckle up. I can't be a houewife cha cha. All the stammering when they ask what i am doing now or i see my classmates.

This is me sha.

So you are not happy that you finally got admission? You would have continued like that and ended up as no future ambition. Your mum got to know of the admission problem and helped you yet you are holding on to your grudges. You even blended sef. Sorry for you.

No disrespect but i find it hard to comprehend that people will pay so much mooney to live in Eleko when the same amount can get you a lovely 4/5 bedroom duplex in a good estate in Argungi/Osapa etc. Human desires are really hard to understand.
Pls, mothers, my exclusive breast fed baby has not had a bowel movement for two days, mayb three counting today, is it okay.
Also she is three month and cos i have to resume work, I want to introduce formula, is it okay to give Ribenna to a three month old baby.
Also, is there a dosage to multi-vite for a baby?
Thanks.
I remember when my baby had no bowel movement for 3 days. I started eating plenty oranges and other such laxatives. Still it entered the fourth day, i was so worried, i took him to the doctor. The doctor turned him over, rubbed his bum with vaseline and then inserted his gloved finger high into his bum. (Sorry for being so graphic). The poo started coming out very thick and plenty. He told me to do same if he gets constipated again for more than 3 days.

Introduce formula but dont give Ribena to your baby. Give little water so that she doesnt become constipated.

Most multivite drops (make sure the multivite is from 0 months) say 0.3ml. Its on the dropper. If its Abidec, its the lowest mark on the dropper.

When the children of the "ever-loving, family-minded, hardworking" fulltime housewife are asked what mum does, guess the answer? She does nothing except send my brother and i on message. Abeg, its good to go out of the house daily so that your kids can even appreciate what you do for them.

ciscamustexcel: I have been using cussons vasline/ jelly on my Lil's butt each time I change her diaper s and I have not noticed any redness or rash and I often change her diapers she is already two months and one day. Maybe u should try that. Hi mums I A̶̲̥̅♏ having a lil issue with my little treasure. she poos each time she finish eating.but breastfeeding and formula feeding. She gasses a lot and d poo looks like blended melom(with small seeds) in it. Both my mum, mother in law and friend, even the one's in circle of moms (an international forum for mums) said its normal but I A̶̲̥̅♏ worried. though D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣ said she will get over it bt its making Me feel it will make her not to gain weight. she is just too young to be teething (2months and 1day old today) though I have started bathing her with teething soap. I feed her with Aptamil infant formula
Your baby is fine. Colour of poop is excellent. It is good for them to poop after every meal while they are young so that they will have space for the next meal. Gassing will happen but she will soon outgrow it. I had the same issue with small gold causing constipation. Started using nan 1.

Which one is teething soap? Never heard of it and I doubt that it is necessary. Even teething powders have very minimal effect.
Food › Re: Share Your Worst Eating-out Experience by blank(f): 8:29pm On Jan 29, 2013
I went to eat at the mammy market in NYSC camp in PH. I always ate at a particular calabar kitchen. This fateful day, I ordered rice and peppersoup and was eating jejely. My seat happened to be opposite the kitchen door. I saw one of the sales girls pouring back into the pot, peppersoup that someone had eaten and remained. I shouted and they started apologizing. I left my food but poured the peppersoup into the rice and messed up the food so that they don't resell it.

I was just thinking of all the rubbish the person that remained the food could have done to it. God save us from eating what will kill us.

Family › Re: How Do You Stop Breast Milk Production? by blank(f): 9:40am On Jan 29, 2013
This is what worked for me. I started reducing how long he suckled and increased the time between feedings. I substituted with cereal. I didn't mean to wean him but that was what happened. He stopped sucking by himself. I did not have that painful engorgement. It just happened.

My advice is that you do not do it suddenly. Do it gradually and you won't have discomfort.
Family › Re: MOTHERS PLS Advise:how Did U Wean Ur Baby? by blank(f): 10:48am On Jan 28, 2013
I weaned him from my room by force. Initially he would wail and cry for 1 hr or more but i didnt budge. Now he can sleep in his room with my cousin although he prefers me beside him. Initially, i would let him sleep in my room and when we had slept off, i will then take him to his room. I saw that he started waking up whenever i moved him so i just moved him out and that was that.

Of course, i had stopped breastfeeding. Do not let him win cos they have a way of manipulating their parents.

debrief08: How much is black berry playbook please?
Blackberry playbook of 16GB is 45k while 64GB is N55k on average.

@ OP, when you say he still feeds you does that mean he gives you like monthly pocket money or something? You say you collect small tokens from friends that are working. Is that the best use of it? Tomorrow does friends will see you using a tablet and be annoyed that you came to beg them for 2k. Priorities.

You should even have mercy on your dad. He is retired but still paying your bills. Its enough to make him perpetually angry. I hope he never gives you back the tablet but sells it to fund your education. angry

My 2nd son is 4 months now and i am thinking of starting him on solids. I wanted to do the whole 6 months exclusive but he is physically draining me. He eats well during the day (not too much sha) but wakes up every 30 mins to 1 hr at night. He wakes up, sucks for 10mins and then goes back to sleep. I started him on formula just before he goes to bed. It helped a little by making him initially sleep for about 3 hrs and then the whole merry-go-round resumes.

I am exhausted by not getting enough sleep and always having to carry him out of his bed etc. I am not working optimally and sometimes i transfer the aggression to his elder brother cos that one is also another handful.

Help me someone b4 i lose it.

My people, i am back.

My chairman is still refusing the potty at 23months. I cannot believe he is going to be 2 and still actively using diapers. I have tried different styles. His school said i should let him wear pants more and take him to the toilet more. I wear him pant and i take him to the toilet every 30 mins without fail, yet he will poo/pee on the floor immediately i bring him out.

Yesterday, i was so angry when i saw him pooing on his pant just as i brought him down from the potty i almost smacked him in anger. My husband had to take him away. I need a lasting solution.

All those body magic, tummy girdles don't work because they just hide the fat and make you lazy.

Start holding in your tummy when you walk. Do not eat late at night, do not eat mostly carbohydrates. Eat a lot of fruit and vegetables and exercise a lot.

gabbytabby: The cretin has come back from village and then pays 10k after owing 412k. Its laughable I have already informed my cousin who is a judge in lagos state.
I am assuming that the house in question is in Lagos state. There is a tenancy law in place which would favour your tenants from hell if you use extra judiciary means. You will end up paying more than what they have paid you and you will face jail time.

Why not research on it especially on nairaland and give them them the appropriate number of days. I know someone when went the legal route and the case was done in less than 1month. Don't break the law cos if those ones go to court, no one will hear all these your stories andyou will go to jail.

Go to their website, www. lekkigardens. com without the spaces. The construction site is just after Abraham Adesanya. The office is near Nipco filling station. Just call them and they will direct you. Don't pay agency to anybody.

But hurry cos the promo will end 31st of this month except they decide to extend it.

megainvest: Yes Lakowe is quite far but definitely not 1hr to VGC without traffic. It takes less than 30 minutes (conservatively) to get to VGC without traffic. It is actually about 36km from Victoria Island so at an average speed of 36km/hr you should be able to reach VI in an hour. Ajah area is usually the trouble spot. When the road is completed, one should be able to reach VI in 30-40 mins.
If you say so. Last time I went there, it took me almost 1hr from there to VGC without traffic. I can imagine how many hours with traffic.
Properties › Re: Beechwood Estate Another Hidden Treasure That Is Unbelievably Priced by blank(f): 8:39pm On Jan 19, 2013
As for Dayo, please truthful about what you are selling. There is no ARM estate that does not have rules and regulations. In fact, all one has to do is to Google it and then they will see the rules. I think a poster has given the link to the rules and regulations.
Properties › Re: Beechwood Estate Another Hidden Treasure That Is Unbelievably Priced by blank(f): 8:33pm On Jan 19, 2013
Lakowe is very far from the island for those who do not know the area. It is almost 1 hr to VGC without traffic. Traffic is usually in the morning from to 6am till like 10. In the evenings it can start from 4 o'clock till very late starting from mega chicken till ajah roundabout.

That means you have to leave your house before 5am to have any hope of crossing ajah traffic and getting to your office before 8am. It's not easy but some people do it everyday.

About, the estate itself, I don't know cos I have had no need going towards that side. At 6m its a bit pricey for that area cos other estates are about 2.5m to 3.5m. Non estates are even less so.

Kudos to my dear friend lawyer for doing what he knows how to do best. Please, can we have more estates that are closer to the island or ajah, pretty please?

A friend had an ex like that. Actually, he tried to marry her but she kept refusing him cos she did not feel the spark. Eventually, he got married. We lost touch and then we reconnected he kept asking about her and if she was married. It always annoyed me cos i felt it was a subtle put down. After 4 years of marriage, he asked me again about my friend and i asked him if his wife had put to bed yet. I know it was mean but i was very upset with him. That was the last time he asked me about my friend again. My friend got married last year and i made sure i called him to inform him.

Btw, he is my cousin and met my friend through me.
