Onegai: Where did you get Lucas Pawpaw ointment in Nigeria from please? It's only sold online in most parts of the U.S. even.
Slowlybtsurely, try a mix of beeswax, olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter with a few drops of essential Lavender oil (you can add calendula and tamanu oils if you wanna splurge). Or check out this organic company in Nigeria, Sahara Sunrise (she makes a baby balm) or try The Honest Company Healing ointment in the U.S. HTH You are right. The first bottle I got was from the US. I have only seen it once and that was in a shop in Ikota shopping complex. I use it sparingly so it lasts quite a bit. |

I laid a trap for it and caught the biggest rat I have ever seen. There are still more out there as I have seen new big holes in the net. Maybe it's the wife coming for revenge. |

Another one I use sometimes is Salveation intensive healing by mama. Try different ones till you get the one that works well with their skin. |

In my office, they had some contract staff that were employed for 24 months. The mgt decided to automate and cancelled the contracts after just 3 months. All of the over 30 staff just like that.
Think wisely. Focus more on where you will have the ability to learn more. |

DrAda: No you are not wrong but I know that most moms use powders on the genital area to prevent diaper rashes in their babies. Like someone rightly pointed out, it also causes breathing problems. Today, I learnt that Paediatrician in USA advice parents to avoid all powders during infancy. Powders are dangerous and caution should be applied. Nice one. What i do is to use vaseline as the barrier and change them often. Can't remember the last time i used powder on them. As for heat rash, i use a balm that soothes the heat rash and clears it up in no time. |

Popsicle: OP- I stand to be corrected but what i read concerning this story is that the woman in question used the powder on her panties before wearing it for many many years , (as a teenager till when she advanced more in age) which i believe was an old school method of naintaining freshness (i believe most people did it cos i first saw that in boarding school though most girls rubbed powder on their laps which they said was to prevent stickiness from sweat). That alone is enough reason to have ovarian cancer cos there is immediate direct contact with the private region of the female body.
I dont believe that using dusting powder for heat rash or on other less sensitive parts of our bodies can cause cancer. .
I STAND TO BE CORRECTED IF I AM WRONG!!! CHEERS Exactly what I was about to post. The only addition info is that you should not allow children to inhale the powder as it can cause breathing difficulties. |

Siena: Hi sis! It's been a while, I trust you and the family are all doing great.
With regards to your comment, you're dead right. I did read that thread, very disturbing.
But...we're talking about a child who was rescued from the street, a child who has been damaged by neglect, and probably abused. That child desperately needs counselling. What really transpired between this child, her benefactor and the infant is not clear. The girl SHOULD have been through the system, where her mental state would have been assessed. Adopting a child who is not an infant or toddler is not an easy journey. Potential foster or adoptive parents need to think really hard about the choices they're making. What the child's background is.
The allegation is really awful. The child could even have deep-rooted mental issues, brought about by some sort of trauma, or it could be an inherent trait passed down from her parents.
I still maintain - it is human nature to react to kindness, there are exceptions to this rule, but for the most part, a domestic help who is treated like a member of the family will seldom repay this with evil. On the other hand, a domestic house help who suffers physical and mental abuse, sexùal abuse, starvation and generally treated the way you would not treat a wild animal is not likely to have any love for her employer.
Some may say this girl is mad, is possessed by demons etc. I will say she reacted in the way an uneducated girl would, when she can think of no other way to hurt her employer / tormentor. Sad, but true. I dey o. Na you run go. What i have seen in this Lagos, na God alone. I used to think it was human nature to respond to kindness with love but i have seen otherwise. |

Siena: You're probably right.
But...when domestic house helps are spat on, yelled at, poorly paid and generally treated worse than animals, they tend to hit back in the only way they know how to. In this case, she derived pleasure from watching her boss eat from plates and probably cutlery wiped with the same rag that she'd run across her snatch. A disgusting act, but at least he's still breathing.
Others who have maltreated their domestic house help have been killed, sometimes the kids haven't been spared either. I don't believe in employing house help, but if you must, for Pete's sake, treat them like human beings, the way you yourself would like to be treated. These are the same employees who cook your meals, and look after your kids. Some people are innately wicked. Regardless of how well you treat them, they still pay back with wickedness. https://www.nairaland.com/3030711/9-year-old-homeless-girl-feeds-feaces |

realestworld: The only hindrance to our progress is democracy and our judiciary. How can we recover our stolen yams with this corupt individual body called judiciary? Why would they put him in detention and not charge him to court? It is against his fundamental human rights which the courts rightly acted on. The EFCC should arrest only when they have sufficient information to take to court. You can't keep someone locked up without trial. The Judiciary is actually our last bastion of hope. Hopefully, EFCC will do the right thing by arraigning him in court and asking the court to grant them enough days to tidy up their case. |

As the head of Obj's economic team he developed the el rufais, soludos, Oby ezekweilles, okonjo iwellas and a host of economic wizards that transformed Obj government. Today we won't have been hearing 0MW of light generated or 7 months continuous non stop fuel scarcity. Why Apc decided to punish Nigeria with Buhari an economic airhead rather than Atiku remains the the 10th wonder of the world But Atiku has several corruption cases against him. |

DrAda: I am guessing that "UK based" kinda is the final nail on the coffin. I will appreciate it if you do further research and read up on SIDS. You just might change your stance. Oh, did I mention I am also a Paediatrician (Nigerian Based Of Course). Not at all. People have different orientations and trainings. I am sure I mentioned earlier that I have done extensive research into SIDS. Enough to know that no one knows the reason why it happens, the rest are conjectures on what could cause it. My baby almost choked to death on his vomit if I hadn't woken up at that time. It made me start researching on the issue. Like I said earlier, I will still maintain and consciously teach that a baby sleeping on their back could end up deadly for the child. |

This system collapse has been there from time immemorial. It's not new. It happens at least twice a month. I am wondering why they are now making it as if it's a new thing. |

Health › Re: Why The Wrong Sleeping Position Can Kill Your Baby. by blank(f): 2:11pm On Mar 30, 2016 |
Please. sleeping on the back for babies can cause the child to gag. What if the baby has spit up or vomits whilst on his back, the only way is back down and the child could suffocate on it. Sleeping on their side is the best for new born babies. Once the baby has learnt good head control, he can be placed on his stomach if you prefer (from like 5 months). blank: Try to avoid ur baby sleeping on his chest till he has learnt good head control and can remove his head if he is not getting enough air.
