I did my medicals last year, I passed it on August 7th 2020..... it’s supposed to expire August 7 2021 but my flight is July 17th 2021,

To avoid story, June 10 2021, I did another medicals at Qlife, but my current medicals is showing passed based on the August 7 last year own

Now I’m asking, will this new one show on my CIC dashboard, or it won’t show,
The nurse was like, I will show the that e-medical slip at the POE, when i land... so it’s confusing... abeg Wetin make I do?

But I deferred till sept this year and so I still Dey Lagos!

So I head medicals last for only one year after which you have to do it again,

My medicals was done and passed on the 15th of Augustine 2020

And my flight is 10th August 2021....

Abeg make una no vex... una Don ever hear say den turn person back for POE based on say e medicals Don dey almost expire?

Also, if person carry pas $10k Wetin go happen, no n say I get am o, I just Dey ask question!


Lastly, I never pay school fees, I hear say den go ask for airport for tuition receipt, my school no let us pay o (even is I no get the money)

Please I need advice, I did my medicals sept 7 2020, and I’m leaving Nigeria August 27 2021....I’m now hearing that medicals lasts for only 12 months!

By the day I’ll be leaving Nigeria it’s barely 10days before my medicals expire!

Who says we're asking them to help us get PPR? Na wa oo!!! I wouldn't want to drag you for this misinterpretation, just because you're my friend . I always try to verify some information before acting on them, so YES, it is within their SERVICE DESCRIPTIONS to assist us(admitted students) with such enquiry(Try google).

We have been so oppressed here that even when we're presented with the opportunity to exercise our rights, we still jump and pass, God go help us. You better drop this mentality as you're going abroad, if not you'll miss several opportunities without knowing it, Yes! I am talking from experience this time!( I hope you come back to thank me for this advice especially as it relates to living abroad)
Nobody will crucify you for making enquiries, but most times you get penalised/punished for being ignorant. If you're not well informed, you'll be deformed; so till Thy Kingdom come, Information is still power!

Am sorry, I still have to talk about Indians again cos their energy is too much, these people write to Canadian PRIME MINISTER concerning their delayed applications and still get cool reply from him(Try this at your own risk, my hand no dey).
This is not me trying to encourage sending unnecessary emails to these MPs especially when your application is still within normal processing time(am guilty here), rather am here to discourage us from carrying this our fear fear mentality abroad, try it and be counting losses.

I know we have our problems as individuals and as a country, trust me, we are still good people unfortunate with e.... govt, hence the reason most of us are in this thread today.

I observed this while sending webforms that year and calling Quebec immigration for my CAQ, the way they used to answer eh.. like is you That’s paying them.. one lady in Quebec immigration told me “I’m sorry, hang on let me go and confirm from the next office” like hurriedly went to confirm

Thank you for your detail explanation on the implication of recent update by IRCC on change of DLI. However, I will kindly request for your guidance and suggestion as regards my current sitiuation:

My student permit was approved late last year and I started attending online class this year January. I later travalled to Canada late January and collected my Student Permit at POE, obtained the SIN and opened a bank account.Thereafter, I got information about another university in another province entirely that offered a program that I am interested in. I then requested that my current program be moved to May session by the university which was granted. I immediatley applied for an admission to the program in the new university which starts by Septmber 2021.

Based on this development, I returned back to Nigeria by Mid February, since I had aksed my current school to move me to May session and my new program will be starting in Septmber 2021 (In order not to go against the terms of the SP). I have just been accepted by the new university and I will be paying the acceptance fee this week.

In line with the recent development, can I still go-ahead and just upade my GckEY account with my new DLI detail?. Or how best do you think I should handle this? I am still in Nigeria and planning to travel back in Septmber when my new program will commenence.

N.B: Both progarms are Master program in Business related field.(Not entirely same course). I do not intend to resume class in May with the 1st univeisty since i have been accepted in the new DLI.

I look forward to reading your contributions on the implication of this directive on my above specific case.

If the SP has been issued, the person can change DLI (or program) without reapplying or submitting a new SP application. This is why it is often advised to effect the change from within Canada rather than outside. All to be done is update the GcKey account with the rightful information.

Effecting the change—of DLI and not the program—from outside Canada when an application has been approved and before the SP is issued is what IRCC refers to by stating the need to submit a new SP application for consideration.

Even if the DLI change was effected from outside Canada, the person doesn't necessarily have to apply for a new study permit IF the person's GcKey was updated with the new information (and IRCC was notified via the webform – unconventional)

Ultimately, based on the explanation thus far; a change of DLI or Program, it can be done without the need to reapply for a new SP.

I landed in Montreal on Thursday. N I must say, please print your proof of funds o, it is well....

I no sabi write long story, make una no vex for me abeg.

I would recommend Lufthansa, and that you land in Montreal.

Also, you can book your quarantine plan directly with the hotel, I did mine like two weeks before my travel date and I had no issues. Just be sure that you are booked for mandatory quarantine.

I thank God it ended in praises cos my Journey wasnt easy at all, but God came through.

Lastly, comfort inn dorval disappointed me.

I applied during the heat of Corona so my processing time may be very very strange to many of you!

April - CAQ
JUNE - APPLIED
JUNE - Biometrics
June - AIP
JUNE - medical request

Then the wait started (deferred my admission to September this year)

The wait was depressing and the most uncertain time of my life coz I wanted to rent my own place and start my life but, I just kept on praying and believing

OCTOBER - in end sars Protest ground I got BVL
October - PPR
November - Sent my passport to Lagos VFS office ( what a mistake)
December 3 2020 - MY STAMPED PASSPORT TOUCHED MY HAND!



I applied to Concordia University, Montreal Quebec!

I uploaded ONLY the document they asked in the cic website... ONLY THOSE 6 things, in “client information” I uploaded my statement of purpose and my letters from sponsor!
