I don't know about nursing cause it's not my field and I have not looked into it but what I said apply to both EA and ACS according to their assessment booklet downloaded from their website.
You should have been specific in your earlier statement instead of generalising, depending on course some schools will never admit you without Test of English, there are some cases in which school waves test of English while the case officer requested for one, and also how are you going to gather the required points for PR without test of English and not even now that ITA doesn't come easy.
PS: If you actually want to get PR through point base system, you can't escape test of English.

Damn!

IELTS is not compulsory for a study visa application and also important to note, it's not also compulsory for Pr visa application and assessment, in as much as the applicant for the Pr visa/assessment studied for at least 2yrs and graduated from an Australian uni.

IELTS is only needed to boost Pr score for onshore applicants.

So please don't raise people stress level up base on no or expired IELTS for their study visa application!

Personally, I'll advise anyone that is yet to apply for admission to channel their strength towards other countries cause had it been I know, I used the bulk of my time and resources on Australia study visa to the USA study visa by reading and writing TOEFL, Sats and GRE, things would have turned out well(full/partial scholarship) and I won't have to spend my money on Australia tution fees but I applied to Australia because of the straightforward path way to earn my Pr and become a citizen.

Now, all offshore Intl students are stocked in a loop due to the uncertainties and indecisiveness of the OZ government.

The painful part is the Time value of money, my money Is stocked and I am becoming poorer cause I would have earn at least 80% interest/profit/dividends of that money last year with the explosive growth of btc and some other stocks.

Presently, what's more painful is, I can't take calculated risk with my money that's not with Australia sch because no one knows how soon the boarder will be open.

Mehn, the situation is messed up! After requesting for deferment, my annoying school sent me a new offer letter with lncrement in my full tution fee without consideration of the time value of my money.

As in how will an entity or sch hold my money for more than 6 months without yielding any form of interest/equity/profit/dividends and only for them to come up with tuition fee increment with a flimsy reason backing up that increment.

Omo, the frustration is real but, All is well!! and I wish I read Law cause I would have served that uni and Australia government a subpoena and we meet in court.
That statement is misleading, you won't even get admitted in to some programs without test of English e.g Nursing and also most assessing bodies if not all require test of English for positive assessment. Studying for 2years in Australia doesn't automatically guarantee you a PR but rather give extra points for PR processing and 2 or more years of post study work visa depending on where you school, you will surely need a good test of English to boost your point for PR.

How about someone with the profile below:

Age- 29
Education- M.Eng (2019), Nigeria
Experience- 3 years
IELTS- 6.0 overall

Can this person give this visa 476 a shot?
476 is for those that graduated from specific school (Schools under the Washington or Dublin accord) and the degree isn't more than two years.

Now social media is more powerful than the presidency of the world's strongest nation!

in other words. these guys have proved that they are more powerful than any nation in the world!

above all, they now have the power to decide whose side of the story the world will hear!

of course it will not end with trump - twitter and facebook will now decide who wins an election and who doesn't win by simply suspending or banning the account of those they dont like and deny them their freedom of speech - THIS SAME FREEDOM OF SPEECH THAT IS THE BEDROCK OF DEMOCRACY IS NOW BEING SLOWLY AND QUIETLY KILLED RIGHT BEFORE OUR VERY EYES!

with the way the main stream media is going, CAN SOMEBODY NOW TELL ME IF THEIR IS ANY TERRORISM THAT IS WORST THAN THIS!

E NO GO EASYOO!

THIS PIC IS FOR ALL THOSE REJOICING AND GLORIFYING A CLEAR CASE OF HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSE OF TRUMP AND SOME OTHER DISSENTING VOICES.
IT WILL REACH ALL OF US AND THEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE.
Twitter is not a government property and you also agree with their terms and conditions before signing up. Trump is not the first person this will happen to, a quite number of account were suspended due to their misinformation about Covid-19 and if you're not comfortable with Twitter create your own platform or any other means to pass your own message/information.

This is relevant advice but studying in regional area might not be enough. There are some challenges with studying in regional area.
I.e Jobs are limited.

Also the way I see it ehn, only health related are somewhat sure of getting pr now. And once the govt feels they have had enough, they will close or reduce the number needed.

It reminds me of some indian guys that were my flat mate. after studying, to get PR they went to study trade courses. Plumbing, carpentry etc.when govt realized the number of applicants via that route increased they took it out of the list and threw them into jeopardy.

Sometimes ehn, chasing these govt policies for PR is tough. Imagine a guy very good in law, just to get PR switches to Nursing. This is one reason canada beats Australia, once u graduate from thier uni it's as good as having PR.

It's tough, but we move.
Trade courses have never been taken off the Occupation list completely before, they're always in assessment level 3 and some states may close their nomination or ppl not meeting states requirements for nomination.
Presently plumbing is open for 189 and no single invitation yet this year

Good morning , I need help and clarification please, my agent is charging me an exuberant amount(289k) for Visa fee to Australia, website shows otherwise and is way lesser than they are charging me, if anyone has an idea On how much the fee is please help a confused sister! Thanks in anticipation
Please note that their Agency fee has been payed in full.
The student visa fee is AUD620, with the current exchange rate and charges in naira should be around 240k (+ or -). If you're not comfortable with your agent figure, get a dollar card and fund it then arrange for a time to go and pay.

Please I need advice from those with experience.

My wife got her COE yesterday after about two weeks of payment of school fees.

She will apply for visa today and we are 99% sure it will be granted because she has travelled to Australia before now and did not overstay.

Now my question, if she is granted the visa and international students are still not allowed into Aussie, what will she do?

Will she have to differ the admission? If she does will the visa be extended to accommodate the new dates?

Please I need answers as I am confused at this stage.
Hopefully the border will be open by March and if not, its either she starts online or defer, whichever way the Visa will not be extended and peradventure she defer, towards the end of her visa like 3months to go, She will request for an updated eCOE from her Uni and apply for Visa extension.
PS: About 80% of Nigerian students do extend their visa due to changing of school, program or dropping course load.

Thanks again for this helpful feedback...
The WSU campus for my Course is in Parramatta.

Another major challenge I'm facing at the moment is that most of the schools I've seen offering my course in regional areas and also some AL1 schools do not have PFL as their agent and I'm working with them already.

What do you advice please?...
Parramatta is not a regional area.
I can't specifically tell you what to do as the final decision lies with you. I am emphasising on regional areas due to recent happenings, a lot of students are at cross road haven finished school and exhausted their 485 and PR is not in sight, they have no other options other than going back to school in regional areas. Whatever your final decision is, make sure that you graduate from a place where you will be eligible for 190 or worst-case scenario 491.

Thank you for your response...
Do you advice I accept this offer and won't the program affect my visa chances?

Secondly, is Western Sydney University in a regional area? I really don't understand the regional area thing you mentioned please...
If you also have schools you can recommend for Social Work, that'll be fine too...

Thanks a lot...
The school is a Multi Campus Uni, find out the Campus offering your program whether it's within Sydney Metropolitan Suburb or not.
Advantages of schooling in regional area includes
* You get extra 5points for schooling in regional area.
* You stand a chance for state nomination.
* As from next year 485 (post study visa) for those that study in regional areas category one is 3years while those of category two is 4years.
The Metropolitan Suburbs of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are the non regional areas, avoid these places.
Look towards South Australia or Tasmania, you'll be eligible for 190 after your two years program.

Hello Everyone...
Hope you're doing great?

I just got an Offer from Western Sydney University but there's a little challenge.
I applied for Masters in Social Work but they gave me an offer to do a Postgraduate Bridging Program before starting my Masters degree in Social Work.

I am not pleased with this outcome and that's why I need some advice and suggestions.

On the other hand, I'm still expecting a response from Monash University which is the first school I applied to even though they've taken a long time to attend to my application. I'm still hopeful anyways and really look forward to something positive from them.

PFL is my agent...

What's my fate? What should I do? I need an advice please...

Thank you for your time and response to this headache of mine...
That means your qualification is not up to their minimum requirements for Social Work which means you have to do the bridgging program to meet up with their requirements for the program. Regarding Monash, not only is their School fees very expensive but also their requirements is higher as it is one of the leading Uni in ranking as well as medical research. I won't even advise you to go for Monash unless you want to use it in getting to Australia and change to a lesser paying school or you getting a scholarship because their is no point in paying close to 80k for Msc without getting points to boost your PR application aside 5points for Australian degree.
PS: With the recent happenings, target schools in regional areas and you maybe eligible for state/regional sponsorship as well as longer 485 (post study visa)

Also, is my masters(from Unilag) of any importance here?
Wow, many thanks for your swift response but what advise will you give me to be able to migrate. Thanks once more

Msc won't give you any extra point as it is the same point with Bsc, presently 189 doesn't come easy but you can look towards 190 and 491. Go to https://www.anzscosearch.com/search/ and search for Civil Engineering, look for states and regional nominations and work towards their requirements
for nomination.
