Check the department of home affairs, search for your school..the requirements are there

Provided your school is AL1 you don't need soa for visa application.
Not all AL1 and besides some case officers do request for SOA irrespective of school.

PS: Anywhere you are in this world, in as much as you're a salary earner and not a wealth creator, your wealth will be limited to your income unless you are in a country like naija where you can become anything over night.

I'm going for a master's degree in Australia, I already have bachelor and master degrees from Nigeria. My question is do I need IELTS in my student visa application?
It depends on school. Schools like Deakin do waive Test of English for certain courses and you don't have to provide it while applying for visa but the issue is, you will definitely need Test of English while going forward.

Good day everyone, please i would like to have an advice from anyone that studied MSC electrical electronics Engineering from Flinders university in Adelaide, i would love to know how the person maintained studying with work balance provided the huge bills and tuition that needs to be cleared, any advice or opinion will be greatly appreciated . thanks.

Hello guys please I need your input regarding this scenario. I recently got a scholarship to Australia and my start date is May 2023. Am planning to apply for visa before the end of this December with my current passport which will expire October 2023.

I have already paid for passport renewal and my date of capturing is January 2023. I was told that the new passport will have a new passport number however that my data will be migrated to it.

Please will this have any implications with my Australian visa application now and in the future?, Should I suspend this process now?. Please i need your urgent advice guys.

Thanks.
No issue whatsoever as there's a section on immi account for details update.

A friend of mine is in dilemma and has asked me give advice him on what do.

I'm confused myself, hence I'm bringing this here for those who are experienced to give their candid opinion.

My friend sent his wife to Australia 2 years ago on a student visa. He stayed back with the children and has been taking proper care of them since the wife left. The children are aged 10 and 8. The first child is in primary 6 and will enter secondary school next year. The second child, a boy, is in primary 4 and will move to primary 5 next year.

My friend's wifey just obtained her PR last month courtesy of one company she worked for and which nominated her.

Now the dilemma.

MY friends wifey wants the family to join her. The children are eager to move to Australia. But my friend is skeptical.
His skepticism comes from two main factors: 1) he is 49 Years, 2) He is gainfully ( by Nigerian Standard) employed. Takes home about N900k per month working for a private company.

My friend will not be able to support the family abroad if he is to allow the children to move to Australia while he remains in Nigeria. EG if he sends AUD 1500, a month to them ( which is about N750K), it wont be able to pay the children's school fees let alone feed.

My friend want to know whether to join the family and do any menial or odd jobs he can lay hands on and at least be able to join hands withd the wifey and see the children through university is Australia. Which to him will be a landmark achievement in life.

Please advice.
Government schools are free for dependants of Permanent resident till year 12 which is equivalent to our SS 3.
The kids will be eligible for HECS (Uni students loan) payable whenever they start working and earning certain amount.
So, the above shouldn't be an issue.

Your friend should apply along with his wife, apply for leave in his workplace and come to Australia to explore whether he will be able to integrate into the system before resignation.

Personally, I will choose Australia over Nigeria again and again even with more than 2million naira monthly income.

Need an advice please. If one's job is located at Southbank - Riverside Quay (Melbourne) what would be the best suburb closest to this to look for a house.
There is nothing like best suburb closest to Southbank, its all boils down to personal preference as the transport system is very good.
Its depend on your budget and the type of accommodation you are looking for, you can't go wrong with any suburb that is about 30mins by train to Southern Cross station and complete the rest with tram right outside the station.
PS: Try Western Suburbs but avoid Footscray, Sunshine and probably St. Albans. Just make sure that what you're going for is close to train station.

With the new PM, do you think anything would change?
Nothing much will change next financial year as the budget and net migration figure are already in place. Any major changes aside states adjusting their requirements for nomination will likely be from July 2023 and hopefully Liberal won't stage a come back in 2025 as the new party leader Peter Dutton is not migrant friendly.

Hello fam. Please I need advice. I work as a Business Development Engineer in my dad's chemical and production company and I studied civil engineering. It is my wish to study Business analytics or business information systems for my msc, but my agent says I should opt for Engineering management. Because it's easier to connect to what I studied, and he says I can't always switch when I have entered the country.

I recently heard switching courses or schools will only be sanctioned by the minister. I don't know how feasible it will then be.

Please can anyone advise me on what best to opt for? BIS is a PR pathway course. I intend to use coming to take over my dad's company as my "I will come back home path".

I will really appreciate responses. Thank you smiley

Cc bligs, Solitin40, DreamlandAgency
No one can say for now how changing of course will be till July and presently some schools are making it difficult to release their students.
Run away from Business Analytics if your goal is PR, Business Information Systems if related to IT with Professional year after graduation may lead to PR.
Engineering Management will not lead to PR unless you work in a Managerial role after graduation.
Your Civil Engineering have an edge over all what you listed.
PS: You can go for Engineering Management provided that you can get a positive assessment with your Civil Engineering degree from EA for your PR parole.

Thanks a lot for this. Got in touch with both mentioned here. BCIE said they could get me a pre masters program that comes together with a master's programme where I do 1 year extra BSC and move to masters. They said it may not be an AL1 University tho.

PFL said I should rather try UK, that my chances for getting visa after admission may be slim

A different agent said since I've gotten Lithuanian and Canadian denials, that I shouldn't try another country again to reduce number of countries that have given me denials. That I should retry Lithuania which is the most recent denial I got.

It's quite messy here deciding on which one to follow.
Go with BCIE, there are heaps of people here with 2 to 3 US and Canada denials just that it may cost you extra $$ than average others and your GTE must be very tight with enough backup documents.

Thanks a lot for your response. Please which universities would you recommend for this pathway to masters that's not in the city and can accept 3 years bachelor's degree? I checked most diploma programmes and they are pathway to second year of bachelors programme and not msc. Deakin that has 4 months pre masters programme is a pathway to some selected courses. My BSC is in computer science

Also, is second BSC acceptable or it affects visa approval? Or do I just forget about bringing up my first BSC and go for a fresh BSC. Age is 26
Honestly, I can't categorically tell you which school to opt for as your case is a bit tricky and moreover most schools won't accept application directly from you, engage the services of a reputable educational agent probably BCIE or PFL. They can secure a package program for you or alternatively start from year 2.
PS: Back in 2018, I met someone that have a 3years degree from Malaysia, the person start from year 2 but submitted enough documents to satisfy GTE and was in your age bracket.

Hi everyone,

Can I get a master's programme at Deakin University, Macquarie University, RMIT or Monash University using a Benin Republic BSC certificate?
It depends on your degree and duration, if the duration of your course is 3years forget about it unless you will opt for post graduate certificate/diploma degree with pathway to Master which those schools may not be offering.
RMIT, Monash and a campus of Deakin are in Metropolitan Melbourne, schooling there won't give you any advantage toward PR other than just 5points for Australian degree, not even now that Victoria is ever changing its requirements for nomination.

The one you quoted must be all those high brow universities.

But there are still affordable universities whose tuition fees fall between the range of A$10,000 to A$13,000 if I am right like the first 2 ones shown below.
Those schools are difficult to satisfy GTA from naija due to their assessment level, most Nigerians in those schools switch upon arriving.

A. Accountant (General)

B. Management Accountant.

C. Finance Managers

I don't know where you got your stats from but in Australia accountants are finding it difficult to get regional nomination talk more of 190 and 189 as the occupation is not on critical list and many accounting graduates are going back to school to get another degree. Young Man/Woman/Transgender or whatever you choose to identify as. Where in my statement have i insulted anyone? Oh i guess you are one of those that read with emotions lol. My point is very clear and they are backed up with facts. You highlighted that the PM doesn't have the power regarding border closure and they act based on medical advise. Did you listen to yourself at all? Why are you contradicting yourself? Point of correction, the chief medical officer can only advise but the PM decides if the international borders stay open or closed. Yes, each state and territory premiers decide on what happens within their state or territory but it's just a matter of time before they give in and join NSW and Victoria.

Look, i don't have the time to get into an argument with people who are narrow minded and cannot see the bigger picture. I bet you will take this one as an insult too huhn? cheesy

Anyway, i will leave you with some additional facts where the PM emphasized that the responsibility now lies with individuals and people need to learn to live with Covid. In addition, NSW and Victoria have scrapped 72 hours quarantine for fully vaccinated international arrivals. Now tell me that's a sign of a country that's about to shut it's borders undecided This will be my last post on this matter. Like i stated, learn to think outside the box wink Oh did Canada just announce they have lifted restrictions on the red list countries? shocked cheesy Wake up and stop sleeping on bike cheesy

https://www.sbs.com.au/news/you-can-choose-to-stay-home-pm-sends-message-to-those-worried-about-covid-19/71faf35f-b641-43d3-a92e-b59095658245

Actually you are the one that's shallow minded and what you fail to realise is that Australia health system capacity is limited and moreover the effect of Omicron is mild and if the ICU is over stretched, they will advise against another restriction. I still insist anything can happen regarding border closure.
NSW recorded about 2k+ cases today, if the effect turn out to be severe in the next couple of days, anything can happen.
And what I mean by my earlier post regarding Scomo, he doesn't have the sole power to open/close border without due consultation and reaching a conclusion with his cabinet.
NB: Why is it that most people on temporary visa are sceptical of travelling out of the country despite the opening of the border? Because of the uncertainty.... and besides, the border is not yet open to visitors and tourists without travel exemption.
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by bligs: 6:16am On Dec 17, 2021
NB1912:
The PM and the NSW premier have been indicating that they don't intend to go into lockdown anymore. Just yesterday, NSW lifted further restrictions including allowing Unvaxxed people same freedom as the Vaxxed and all this is happening amid the Omicron concerns. Will a country intending to lockdown or shut it's borders lift further restrictions? This is common sense!!

Even the health minister has indicated that the case numbers will go up but the main focus will be on the ICU. Just today, Peter Dutton (Defense Minister) was interviewed and he clarified that they can't keep shutting the borders and going into lockdowns after almost 2 years and they will have to learn to live with Covid.

So forget all the nonsense about shutting the borders in 2 weeks. Some people just speak trash without presenting facts.
Madam you don't have to be insultive, opinion differs, present yours and let it be. NSW premier can only speak for NSW and Peter Dutton doesn't have any power regarding border closure not even Scomo, they will all act base on the advice of Chief Medical Officer. Are you aware that Western Australia boarder is still shut till February, Tennant Creek a town in NT are in 3days lockdown starting from today, Queensland open its border on Monday and introduce 14days mandatory quarantine today, Tasmania open its border on Wednesday and introduce travel restrictions today after discovering 3cases. Regarding Australian border, absolutely anything can happen.
PS: Forget the media brouhaha, Australia can survive the next two years and if not more of border closure.

You can get a very good 3bedroom house with 600k-800k in the western suburbs of Melbourne, though about 45 to 50mins drive from the CBD. Suburbs like Tarneit, Truganina, Werribee, Wnydham Vale and some part of Point Cook. The only down side is apart from Point Cook and Werribee, others are dominated by migrants from India and Middle East thus houses there are bit cheaper compare to Northern and Eastern suburbs.

Firstly, select all the regions you're interested in on EOI SkillSelect. You can as well select 'any'
That is not how 190/491 works. Firstly, most states have put their nomination for offshore applicants on hold till further notice due to the pandemic. For 190/491, states have different occupational list and criteria for nomination. In NSW for instance, there's a separate list and requirements for 190 and the state has about 6 different RDA with different occupational list and criteria for 491 nomination. Applying to a state/regional area and getting their nomination is the first step for 190/491, followed by submitting EOI to skillselect. You can get more info from the following links.

Denmark green card visa is still available o but the requirements na die. The best way to immigrate to Denmark as a Nigerian is to get a job there. Can only happen if you are in tech or maybe healthcare. The other way is to naturalise as an EU citizen and move there. But getting a visitor's visa to go and become illegal na die. Denmark is very anti immigration and they are working hard on sending all Muslim refugees back to where they came from.

But in terms of wealth, Europe has excess. When I went to Italy one of the poorest in Europe, Uber cars were latest mercedes models only big men drive in Nigeria. I was screaming in shock but my German friend said they are old that in Germany people would rather walk or take public transport than drive a 3 year old car and na mercedes BMW Porsche and co full there o. Congrats, there shouldn't be an issue with your visa application as DHA highly regard PhD/research students. The issue should be aftermath of PhD, what next? It maybe challenging for you if you're unable to secure a job as a research fellow, lecturer or something that has to do with your PhD directly as no one will like to employ you with PhD due to wages because less qualify people can do same thing.
Base on my own opinion, there's more opportunities for research students in USA than Australia but you may get a PR or citizenship quicker in Australia and make more money but consider jobs opportunities after your program.

It's reality. Not every person in America lives somewhere with a substantial or visible homeless population. And many Americans don't travel. So yes, you can live your entire life in the US and never see a homeless person, or know you have. That's another thing about the homeless population, they don't all fit a stereotype of a homeless person. Some of them are clean cut and dressed neatly. The only way you would know they're homeless is if they told you.
Have you been to US or just assuming? Unless the person entire life is in the country side, not only in the US but in all the western countries, there is no big city without homeless people, and also you can easily recognise them.
