My people, not sure I can say all I have in mind.

Ma'am C.,
Ndo, pele, biko, ssanu.

I'd put you in the position of the women in my life. We all know they deserve a special treatment. I can overlook it if my woman drives her car around for a year and not service it; I'd rather take it as my duty. Clearly a woman might not know a lot about cars; it's pardonable; just as many other men do not.
You work for your money and should get value for it; agreed!
I understand where you're coming from and the aftermath are chain reactions.
I'd once been in your shoes where I sold off a vehicle and incurred a loss of about Nk.
Why? My mind wasn't there no more; just a radiator issue, got it at an high value already and made up my mind not to spend a dime on it; luckily, the new owner does check up on me and even tells me he's enjoying it.
I also understand how you feel selling it off after awaiting it for about 3 months. It's your prerogative.
But, you still have to forgive; it's a small world already. Many of us understand how you feel.

Mr. J.
I love the way you handled issues; not like you wanted bringing up the video but we all know the reason.
God bless you, let's move forward.

Mr. A.
Running a business isn't a day's job and I'm not in position to question your judgment.
Your battery stance?
You have to make a decision which you have already; and I do understand the chain effect of having many other people come forward for battery replacements which would have a toll on your business.
On the mechanic issue?
I think you could do better; never rely on those working for you fully; I can't ascertain if that filter was changed and you cannot either; you probably should have taken a faster route to resolving that.
Customer is king; don't forget.
I'd advice you reach out to Ma'am C., try to pet her wherever possible; trust me; we all know the women in our life; just pet her and I'm sure all these would be settled.

Progress... Progress... Progress...!
Let's make progress please;

I love you ma'am C.

I love you Mr. J.

I love you Mr. A

I love you everyone.

Let's make peace and make the world a better place already.

Cheers!

My people, as much as you’re going out and making money from trips; don’t let that deter you from building skills.

Money goes in the direction of value.

What value can you offer asides driving?
Any long term plan?

Sadly, ehailing isn’t an end but a means to an end.

Do I want to keep driving for the next two(2) to five(5) years?

Super stars ✨ always get what they want.

Why?

They offer real time values.

How can I up my skills?

Discipline is key; your phone and data can go a long way.

Anything you want to learn is accessible on YouTube.

The couple need to go back to default setting, a therapist to help them find the gem/mojo that brought them together in the first place.

It appears the couple have forgotten their vows and reasons they decided to be together - the wife is even making a bad situation worse by not knowing how to take control of her beloved husband...too bad.

We are humans and no situation is bigger than us...if u know what I mean. cool
Hmm..., I get your drift.

How does she explain this when the husband eventually finds out - wouldn't he think she has a plan B.

She will need to be very careful coz this may cause a big crack in the trust btw them.

Mind you, they live together.

Well said.

What are your thoughts?

Hello madam,

The Lord grant your home peace. Amen!

I’d advice you put up a safety net. You can’t be earning and finishing same, I’d advice you lower your standard of living.

Please, SAVE. You need a backup plan. May we not be put to shame.

This may be without the knowledge of your spouse, but it’s with an intention to bail you both out in the rainy days.

God bless you, don’t give up on your family, things would get better.

Cheers!

My battery is swollen.

Any recommendations on product to buy, pricing, for a corolla, please?

Also, what amount could I exchange the old one for?

Thanks.

Yea! A quick one please!

Although, I know, the further I advance the path becomes clearer, but, permit me to ask, where does the opportunity abound more? Web or mobile dev??

There are more web dev. guys than mobile, so you may have an edge with mobile.

But, just go the extra length to make your self the best; that way, you’d become an authority and a’hot cake’ in whichever you finally go with.

I had learnt html, CSS and JavaScript but I want to move with backend, which one is easier to use for backend between node js and python(Django). I don't have experience in python before.

You can pick anyone that interests you.

Want to work for startups? Nodejs, PHP (laravel), in a few cases, python comes in handy.

Want more stability (banking)? DotNET, Java (Spring boot).

As a backend developer, you’re not limited to a language so either python or nodejs might come in handy for you at any point.

Verdict: you may choose node.js first since you’ve learnt JavaScript

For someone whose interest is in web & mobile apps development, would Python still be the best place to start?

Well..., the idea is you want something that’d open your eyes and you wouldn’t find difficult to learn thereby discouraging you. Python would open your mind to basic of programming such as data/control structures (If I have money, I can buy a phone, else I cannot), loops/iterations and all.

That said, you can also use python (django) for web development.

Alternatively,
For web, you can learn html, then proceed to CSS, and then JavaScript.
Mobile has variants; you either go with hybrid (one app for Android, iOS) or native (java or kotlin for android; swift for iOS). For hybrid, just learn one language unlike native where you’ve got to learn each of the ones you’re interested in developing (iOS and/or android)

If you’re learning mobile, you may not need to learn python.

You really do not have the jurisdiction to call them wicked.

Say you have a sibling that works in any of those organization, and their salary is based on your repayments, what do you call such organizations if they’re unable to pay your siblings salary?

Hello friend,

I congratulate you on your decision to venture into the programming world.

Do have it at the back of your mind that you’d face hurdles at many points but those would make and mould you, anytime you come across any issue, take a break and then go back to it.

You’d be needing google as you sojourn in this journey, YouTube in some cases, books in some others.

It’s recommended starters go with python being that it’s easier to learn.

Your area of interest would also matter; be it mobile apps, web apps, and a couple of others.

You can do it, you can make it, do not give up!

Idboyostic, and other great people here, thank you for all you do.

Evil thrives when good men keep quiet. Just know you have silent following.

You hold me and my cash to ransom, issue is brought to the fore, you quickly want to do damage control?

To every action, there’s a consequence; let as many people with these bad attribute pay the price.

You say it’s not fraud for holding someone else to ransom? Did you hear yourself?

It’s very easy to know a smart person; you give a Greek refund and keep wailing over it even when that was rejected, I think it’s those that quote such an one that are to be blamed.

You keep talking and shooting yourself on the foot and you feel you’re smart? Smart ones wouldn’t dare commit their funds to such ones henceforth.

Enough said.

Is there something not okay with this arrangement? Am I doing anything wrong? Do I have to tell the owner of the car that I will not be the one to drive it? Do I have to tell the rental driver the car is on hp?

Not a smart decision. You seem to have a good soul and very considerate seeing how you wouldn’t mind going the extra length to help your fellow.

1. What would become of that ‘tokunbo’ car in two (2) years? Would it still be a tokunbo?

2. If you have to shell out an 80k for ac fixes, does that come from your salary too?

Being a nice person is good but don’t shoot yourself in the foot; you’d end up financing someone else thinking you’re generating another source of income.

Add some cash to the 500k, get a good mechanic, and then look for a close to tokunbo Nigerian used car; you can invest that instead of waiting to pay off 2.5m.

Don’t end up killing yourself paying debts.

#allOpinionsAreMine.

God bless you.

The law of the land prevails; all its takes is for the government to make a policy whenever ready.

To be fair, when you do business in a society, you’ve got to be subject to their law(s).

No matter what argument we have on here, LASG wouldn’t have anything to lose blocking Uber’s IP address and taking them off Lagos state, granted Uber doesn’t comply. There’s no justification that you aren’t a commercial when you use your car for commercial purposes; let’s not attach emotions to things.

It’s a win win for the government either ways.

Pray Uber complies and the issues sorted else don’t wait till you’re used as a scape goat.

Heyo!

2007 civic is quite low to the ground but it’s more economical than the accord and even Corolla counterparts.

There are no leg pulls on the civic although the hack to accord is you getting OEM parts and then you’d be good.

Hello friend,

One hack to longetivity is to seek peace. Naivety is what I can see in your wife; not like she wants to behave that way but she seems young and still willing to enjoy some more attention from other guys.

What can you do? Be the man; act like the father; tolerate her; give her some space; still spoil her, and seek your own peace and then live your life.

She’d most likely come around and if she doesn’t continue living and seeking peace of mind; else you’d develop high blood pressure.

Blessings!

ObodoNaija:
Good evening house, please I need you guys advice on something, would you advise someone to collect loan from the bank(Gtbank) with 1.33% interest money and put in uber business? A friend of mine is thinking of collecting loan of 2 million to buy 2 cars, a big daddy(1ml) and a Honda (#800,000, the owner is desperately in need of money). He has seen the cars already but just that he is a little bit sceptical about it if he can be able to repay the loan and interest within a year interval. He will drive one and give out one. What is your advice guys and has anyone here collected loan from the bank especially GTBank, what was the person's experience and are there hidden charges that the bank doesn't let the customers know?
.

Hello friend,

Is GtBank loan ok? Yes, I’ve taken from there before at even 1.72% back then.

Any hidden charges? No, it’s a flat rate. You get to even save some interest if you can liquidate it at some point.

Are Nigerian used cars entirely bad? Quite dicey. Not all Nigerian used cars are bad but you’d be needing the services of a good mechanic that way you can save roughly 300 to 400k.

Is Uber business that booming? I do not think so; low fares, bad roads, high tension when you don’t get paid by your partners and all.

Should I take risks? Absolutely yes, fortune favors the bold. Things could go south or north.

My advice?
1. Let him not take say above a 1m as loan so he doesn’t get weary while paying, loans can be tiring as you’d be counting down

2. Let him buy a car which is the big daddy in this case; if he sub let’s it and it turns bad, he takes his car back, fix it and use for his personal runnings.

All the best as you help guide him.

God bless you.

One rule of thumb is the maximum you should spend on your rent is your three(3) months salary.

Marriage is your call; but I’d like to give a few advise;
1. Try to have something in reserve.
2. Sadly, you may be the one there for you; expect nothing from anyone
3. Avoid borrowing for your wedding; do not carry debt into your new life.
4. Look for a lady who isn’t materialistic
5. Keep improving and equipping yourself for a better job/pay.

God bless you.
