Sure bro, it will definitely end in praise. Surmounting writing as a first timer is definitely encouraging. Next attempt will be a breeze for you, all modules inclusive. onyekakingsley: just saw my result.....LRSW 7.5, 8.5, 7, 7. Even though I am disappointed with the outcome as I didn't get the required score for listening, I am very happy to pass the dreaded writing. All thanks to blissnenye for the way she coached me. Thank you ma for being very patient with me throughout our lessons. It will definitely end in praise 2 Likes 1 Share |

My brother there's no giving up on this journey like you said. I just admire your positive attitude. The beautiful thing is that writing has been surmounted. The listening shall as well be obedient to you in your next and final attempt. alwayspositive8: Saw my Nov 23rd result today...LRWS - 6.5,8,7,7...Though some people will feel like why is this guy sharing testimony since i haven't gotten the desired score. For my Listening , the result was quite expected cos i knew i lost focus during the exam which was caused by my being overconfident prior to the exam having passed with 8.5 and 8.0 in previous attempt so i didn't really practise much as my focus was on writing.
However, one thing i will take from this result is that i got my writing and now am so confident that i can never fail that module again(subject to practise ooo lol). I really need to give kudos to @blissnenye. She is a great tutor, very patient and has empathy. In fact during my first two session with her, i already had the confidence that am going to pass the writing module as she was straight to the point and her teaching methods are easy to understand.
My advise is that for those having issues with writing feel free to contact her and you will have no regret. While at that, please pay equal attention to other modules.
In all, there is no giving up on this journey. Hence, we go again. There will surely be light at the end of the tunnel. 2 Likes |

Congratulations sis. Your result is just beautiful and to think this is even your first attempt. Thank God the timing worked. I remember at first, you struggled to finish task 2 in 40mins, sometimes you almost felt like crying and i will tell you not to beat yourself up as i know you will get better as we progressed. See you today scoring 7.5 in writing while finishing in 30mins. Isn't that awesome. Am happy to be a part of your success story. At 480+, just sit and sip your wine while you patiently wait for your evaluation to be complete after which you will just stroll into the pool and stroll out with your ITA, not jumping this time. ThowLou: Hi everyone, here to share my IELTS Testimony. I got my result this morning.
L - 8.5 R - 9 W - 7.5 S - 8.5 Band 8.5
For reading and listening, I made use of Cambridge, Kaplan and Baron study materials. I also recommend IELTS Jay (E2 learning) on YouTube especially for reading.
For speaking, Johnny Bravo coached me the day before the exam and that was it. He simulated a real test scenario over a WhatsApp call and that was it.
For writing, I am really thankful to @johnnybravo and @blissnenye. They both coached me and were very patient with me. They were on the phone with me at 10pm, 11pm for weeks. BlissNenye coached me to write within the required time frame - 40mins was 40mins with her, no extra time. I didn’t finish some essays but I improved with time. Johnny Bravo would correct every single line of your work even the errors you expect would be overlooked. They were quite strict but I loved that they were thorough and when I didn’t get it, they would make sure I did before they moved to another type of essay. On the exam day, I finished my writing 1 and 2 in 30mins, no jokes! I had written a whole lot of essays so the essay question didn’t come as a surprise. I simply followed the writing style I was taught and was very confident that I would do well in writing, which I did.
My advise to anyone writing IELTS is to factor in the cost of coaching especially if you want to get it over with once and for all. It’s better to do this than rewrite the exam or applying for a remark. Contact JohnnyBravo or BlissNenye and you would be glad you did.
Thanks to everyone who posted tips to ace the exam, it was really helpful. I wish everyone success on this journey. I would be back to testify on progress on this journey. 1 Like |

Congratulations my sister and friend. Am happy you finally overcame IELTS and being part of your success story is indeed a privilege. May the remaining part of the process be speedy for you. Luchluch: IELTS VICTORY STORY
IELTS BC (28/09/2019) – LRWS 7.5,7,6.5,7.5 (I never prepared)
IELTS CDT (17/10/2019) – LRWS 8.5,8,6.5,8 (I was sad because I felt I did so well in my writing. I applied for a remark, booked another exam and contacted @blissnenye immediately)
IELTS CDT (5/11/2019) After the writing, I just wanted to go home without doing my speaking test because it felt like I did so bad in the writing test and there was really no point taking the speaking test. One of the exam takers encouraged me to go ahead with the speaking. I got in for my speaking test and was giving the examiner an attitude, I zoned out and wasn’t ready to stress my brain, she even asked a couple of questions in the part 3 and I told her I didn’t know how best to answer her question at the moment but will try to figure it out later, all I wanted to do at that time was to get on my bed and cry myself to sleep because It felt like I failed myself and my tutor. On Tuesday afternoon I got a mail from British Council saying the results were out but I didn’t bother to check because the only email I wanted to see from them was regrading my EOR. Yesterday I got the same email from them and just decided to check the result
IELTS CDT – LRWS 8.5,8.5,7,7.5
I just want to say a very big thank you to @blissnenye Words can’t express how grateful I am for helping me through my IELTS writing, boosting my confidence and encouraging me. You just gained a new sister and marketer. LOL

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by blissnenye: 6:39am On Nov 12, 2019 |
I would advice that you accept the ITA if it comes. You did not do the computation yourself, the system did. However, do not submit your application until after the exact date you will complete 3years. Since you have till January to submit your application, you may even submit in January. Just ensure that your AOR comes after you have completed 3 years. nolacozy: Please I have some challenges:
My first job was Dec 2016, I plan to use 4 different jobs for work experience but between those jobs, I have like 2 weeks gap (meaning I didn’t start another job immediately after quitting the present)
I created my profile mid oct, I was on 447, only for me to login today to see 472 which means they used dec 2016-nov 2019 as 3 years
If I accept ITA on Wednesday, what effect might that have on my application?
Also is it mandatory that the exact day of the month when you started work is put in your reference letter? Has anyone here gotten PPR without the exact resumption day on the work reference letter?
Please help me clear these blind spots. 8 Likes |

IELTS - LRWS -8,9,7,8 ECA - IQAS (LLB Masters Equivalent) ITA - APRIL 17 AOR - MAY 18 CRS - 475 NOC - 4112 MEP - JUNE 27 BIL - JULY 3 GHOST UPDATE - NOVEMBER 6 PPR-JUST NOW VO - OTTAWA pray for everyone waiting to experience this same joy. God bless us all Few points about my application
POF 100percent gift deed from my father Attached the notorised gift deed, bank reference letter (not in CIC format), statement of account for the day the gift sum was transferred to me and highlighted same and also added the transfer teller
Work reference For the two jobs I have done which I used to claim 3years work experience I was paid in cash for both. So I just got the reference letter in CIC form and indicated I was paid in cash beside the salary.
IELTS I can't overemphasize the essence of practice. Wrote it once and the scores are as seen above.
All other processes were seamless and uneventful apart from ECA where I had to wait on IQAS for 5months before my evaluation was completed. Was worth it in the end because my LLB was given a professional degree equivalence.
Now my watch has ended. TIME TO DISVIRGIN MY PASSPORT.

I cannot write as much as is expected but I'll try to put every relevant information here. I typed my testimony since April but I abandoned it when I heard nothing. IELTS: first attempt Sept 2018 8.5,8,9,6 LSRW 2nd attempt Oct 2018 8.5,8,9,8 LSRW ECA: I used WES since it was foreign degree and it was very straightforward, took about 17 days. ITA: November 15 2018 Police Report: UK and Nigeria, also straightforward. POF: 60% was gift from my dad so he did a gift deed while the rest came from my husband who wrote a letter that I had unrestricted access to it as I am the PA. We put the money in a fixed deposit and submitted the letter from the bank. ADR: I got the Accra famous 5 on the 25th of April, submitted on the 27th and was waiting for PPR to drop in 2 weeks cos that was the trend then, well It didn't. The Wait

Congratulations sis. I remember telling you you were good. You had put in so much work already before contacting me. Little wonder your English and sentence construction was excellent as the only thing you needed was a guide on the correct structure your essay should have. I am happy to be a part of this deserved success. Sitting @478 now, you are damn sure of an ITA in the next draw. Am glad it ended in praise for you. BC cannot come and carry your shine abeg QueenJoeffrey: Ielts It’s ielts victory!! Prior to sitting for ielts, I had read stories about how people got 6.5 in writing and that scared me to death. How I wish I entered the exam hall an ignorant fellow. First sitting, i got all the necessary help from my colleagues at work who had aced this exam earlier. I had prepped like my life depended on it since I so much disliked essay writing back in school. For the record I work 8-8 six days a week but I had to attack this monster with every fiber of my being. I always tried to hurriedly rush home and bury my head deep into my books till midnight. Honestly I don’t think there is any youtube listening and Cambridge practice test I haven’t taken while religiously reading sample essays on ieltsmentor page. I learnt ankasa! (twi) . @Chicyclass came through for me sending me some MOD writing book and I read the book page by page! I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I mention I remember the sentences like a child remembers his favorite rhyme. I sat for the exam for the first time in July Results : LRSW 9 7.5 7.5 6.5 Hmmm 6.5 in writing, as expected cos, I didn’t even read over my essay and I was so much gripped with fear so ... I remarked but it unfortunately returned the same. Instances like these make me wish I knew the future. I’d have saved myself the time, energy and most importantly my funds. Being someone who never threw in the towel so quickly, I registered for the next sitting in 28th September. Time to face this monster again head- on!
I saw posts about MOD being “more generous “ with their 7 than BC but I’m Ghanaian and we only have BC so I wasn’t spoilt with choices like my fellow Nigerians. Just have to return to my “dearest” BC, who haven’t in this case been so generous to its beloved.Spoke to @yemblaze who added me to an ielts WhatsApp group and @stencil also sent me ielt materials . Thank you so much ladies. I’m forever grateful. This time, I had to strategize. I decided to learn extensively for the writing so I started with synonyms of common ielts topics from a youtube page which was suggested by someone here. I also contacted @blissnenye to help me with the writing and she made sure I wrote an essay everyday. “An essay a day keeps ielts failure away” lol. Like I mentioned earlier, this was almost like a punishment being meted out actually it was since I hated writing essays. I’d rather prefer reading those online but this lady, “my punisher” ensured I wrote and insisted on it. She was really bent on seeing me do something I hated. I realised It wasn’t just about the money for her but she really had my interest at heart..She tutored me for a week and told me I was good to go. Thank you my Madam @blissnenye. So I Sat for the next sitting on 28th September and this time I wasn’t even looking forward to a better results COs since I had mixed feelings about the listening test. Results day finally came and I had LRS 9 9 7.5 and writing 6.5. Oo God! Not again! Hmmmm of course it would be writing, this devil keeps tearing its ugly head everywhere! What did I expect? I prepared so well so why 6.5 again.? What at all are they looking for?. I put in a request for remarking that same day results were released without taking my test report form. In mind, they should keep it until they gave me my 7. I prayed fervently for a positive outcome. Then on the fateful day of 31/10/2019 , I received a mail. Behold the change I was waiting for had reflected!!! From 6.5 to 7. I was giddy with excitement. Sleep and I had conveniently become enemies that night . if this is how excited it feels to get the required ielts scores then I have not the least of ideas how you all react when you receive PPR mail. Hope to jump, no dive into the pool and then wait for my ITA in the next draw. 15 Likes |
